  1. 1)get an external hard drive big enough to hold your mods

    2)copy c:/programfiles/bethesda softworks/oblivion/data folder to it

2a)If you have things like OBMM, copy that in there too, but keep the folder structures intact!

    3)install oblivion on new computer

4)Dump the files you backed up onto your external hard drive into their right spot.

Works for me every time, when I stop playing oblivion, I just back my data folder up and uninstall it...when I want to come back, I just dump the backup data folder from my external hard drive onto my PC...and its like I never uninstalled in the first place.

  2. Thanks all for the suggestions, :thanks: especially for that Black Swan Boutique one, it looks really good.

All these clothing mods and so are making me want to make my own, thing is the entire DDS/Nikskope/Blah programs seem really tedious to do. I can barely sit down to refurnish the vanilla houses or even make my own house mod.

Making your own outfit IS very tedious to do. Which is why you have to appreciate the work that people go through to actually make quality work REGARDLESS of the content (be it sexy for both women AND men). Something this community has a very hard time doing.

  3. My current build of my character Evelynne is level 14, and Im not seeing any dragons just yet. In Marts monster mod the dragons (called drakes) Are deadric and most commonly found in the oblivion realms. The level they start to appear at Im not sure, I think its between level 15 and 20.
  4. for me to have fun in oblivion, i just have to play it.

To go a little into detail, i role play as my character Evelynne..a holy paladin (I took the liberty to inject some of Dungeons and dragons lore in her extensive back story as she worships the dragon god Bahamut). Smiting evil in all of its forms (anything from murderers to the undead and deadra) is so fulfilling.

  5. I remember this day quite well. I was in 8th grade that morning, and I was called down to the principals office. As I walked down the hallway I thought "God damnit, what did I do this time.."

To my surprise I saw my dad standing in a dark room with my super attendant of the school. I thought I was a goner for sure.

But then my dad explained to me what happened, at the time I did not understand at all. What I did understand right then was that he was actually supposed to be on one of those planes. I thank whatever it was that made him sleep in that morning.

  6. they actually just let air out of their esophagus making the sound but headless living zombies are some what of an oxy-moron. UNLESS!!! the greymatter of the brain of the host

which has the solanum virus some where in their body cavity but I can't explane how they do see nor sense us with out use of other exstremady (i.g. nose, ears and the like)

(sidenote: I am reading the ZOMBIE SURVIVAL GUIDE!!!!!111!!!!!1!111. Can you tell

Oblivion zombies are far different then the zombies described in that book. Oblivion zombies arent the victim of any virus. They are unfortunate souls who have either never left a body, or where harshly placed back into a body by necromancers, thus they can exist without a head.

The other posters in this thread already covered the fact that you can still blow air out without a mouth, but know that the human torso is a vacuum. When you breathe, you rent actually pushing air in or out, your diaphragm expands and because of the lower pressure inside your body, air naturally flows in. when the diaphragm contracts, the air naturally pushes out because of the change in pressure (this same concept is applied to many natural occurrences). When this vacuum is broken (by a stab, a bullet wound or say...decapitation) Breathing becomes quite difficult, if not impossible as a result. There fore it would be quite hard for the headless zombie to make any noise what so ever. Since it HAS to make some sort of noise because of game mechanics, I would say it would be comparable to the sound of blowing water out a snorkel. The weird growling noise a headless zombie makes is shared with every other zombie type in the game (who have heads) and the ones with heads logically CAN moan, Bethesda just didn't cross the line into realism with this one, maybe for obvious reasons

  7. Did you drop the meshes and textures folder into your "c:/programfiles/bethesda softworks/data" folder? in your case if your stuff is appearing pink, the poster above me is correct, it cannot find the textures. Make sure you install the file correctly.

if you are 100% sure you installed it correctly, then the modder himself did something wrong (anything from setting up the file wrong to setting up the .rar package wrong).

If you are seeing other peoples (as in not the author) screenshots, and its working fine for them, then it really is an installation error on your part.

  8. one little work around you could do is making a duplicate of the armor as a clothing item, and give it a shield enchant = to its armor counterparts defense. Clothing does not break, but do know that doing this will not give them a movement penalty for wearing armor. Also, I think that regardless of how good you make the enchantment, I think the NPC will seek armor in the game to replace the clothes they wear...so it may not be the best route.

I dont know any other work around other then giving the armor a rediculous health amount.

Thats assuming you get the Construction Set to work....I dont know why its crashing for you.

  9. You can have rigged hair models (they're not "animated" any more than any other piece of clothing) if they're equipped as wigs. The engine does not allow looped animation and rigging data on the same item. This is why weapons can be animated, but clothes and equippable hairs can't.

There have been attempts to get around that with super-skeletons that use hair "bones," but that pretty much would require every idle and combat anim in the game to be redone, and so far that's been more work than any one person has wanted to do.

Oh, thats cool. Seems like it would require a team to pull that off then..
