Bethesda (under Zenimax pressure, I'm sure) has released games in terrible condition for a AAA title. If anyone should be profit-sharing with crews like SKSE, SkyUI, Unofficial Patches, it should be Bethesda. Sure is nice having a devoted and skilled-enough fanbase to make your game run for you.

I decided with Skyrim to not preorder the next Bethesda game for this very reason. There's no point, if the friggin thing isn't going to work out of the box.

Trust me I tried playing Skyrim without mods and I couldn't stand 15 minutes! It might be the best game in 2011 but just a no-more-than-s#*! in 2015 comparing to other RPG games in NO MODs type (Dragon Age Inquisitions is a good example).

Don't exaggerate. Skyrim plays just fine without mods, and still has a huge following on consoles.

Mods are great. But they're not mandatory.

    +1
You defo need mods to have Skyrim playable even if you want to play vanilla.

Although who would want to play the lazy mess that is vanilla (even if it worked) which was basically a lazy console port at best if it wasn't for mods?

I and many others would never buy a beth game if it wasn't for great mod support. They need modders and mod users alot more then we need them imo.

You so silly,it got a following on consoles because console players don't know any better and I'm no expert but they got a stable version of the vanilla game.
For any master race gamer mods are mandatory for a Beth game.
  2. Lore friendly as possible.I do my best to enhance Already existing features and remove the stupid parts like the magic system for a prime example just had to go.I rarely fast travel so anything to make the world feel more alive is a must.

Every charicter has his own fitting set of badass armor and weapons from almost the get go because hey they are adults when being captured at the start of the game and I hate looting everything in site.So they start at level 20 with a few skills already in place.

Of course the usual mods to get rid of bethesda's ugly texture work and console limited graphics.

  3. Why does it make me DL from the USA when I am in England? Does it have something to do with the "go faster with premium" at the bottom? bet premium Dl's from logical locations.Yes I am implying that it chooses retarded places to make slow DL's on purpose.

95kb a sec wile everywhere else is 10mb a sec for me and it was fine b4 the go premium ad.

  4. I have a level 82 mage and I found mages to be good only in the mid levels 30-50ish on master diffculty. At the start like you I never had any mana and had to have followers deal most of the damage wile I hid like a coward(boring).Mid range after maxing enchanting and having 0mana cost to destruction and healing spells I was a killing machine. After that as mage spells do not scale in any way my damage was so low most creatures laughed at me and even bandits one shot me with arrows no matter what I did......So yeah basicaly to be viable as a mage you have to mod.
  5. It doesn't have as huge impact as the fallout version's of project reality I give you that but its still hugely noticable When going from vanilla to cot weather systems.

Vanilla Had very few different weathers wile cot has hundreads not to mension the outdoor lighting you get with cot.Vanilla was brilliant sunshine cloudy and overcast and not much inbetween cot adds much more realistic patterns.Cot is one of those mods I couldn't play a bethesda game without you most likely don't notice it because it blends so perfectly with the game (thats what its supposed to do) but mark my words you would notice it if was gone.

My god my spell check has no power here so sorry for all the spelling mistakes.
