I had the same issue. It bothers me when I finally find someone that has the same issue posts online, then they say they fixed it or have an idea how to fix it, but don't share it. I mean, I searched up the issue for the reason so that others don't have the answer the same question again and again had I posted for help.
However, I just wanted to share for anyone that needs it. I think I may have solved the issue I was having with the game ctd during combat. It always happened when there was a lot going on, like multiple enemies or lots of magic.
I also have the experience mod, and I disabled the setting "Use Racial Bonuses" in the MCM. It seems to have stopped my ctd during combat problem. Hopefully that solves the problem (so far so good) and I hope this information can be helpful to someone else!
