Yeah I still don't know what lydia really looks like or belethor or some others. I saw that guy that does the orc voices ironically he is a white guy, always thought they had a black guy doing those voices made me feel all rick rolled. Actually, put the voices of lydia, belethor, garrus, the orc guy the guy that does all the grey elf voices he is a big anime voice over artist btw and that guy who does the voice of master shake from aqua teen hunger force in some fancy restaurant and just give them something pointless to talk about for an hour that can be the movie oh and richard dean anderson can do a cameo dressed in a vault suit with a mcgruber name tag on it.

I don't think they actually took eight years to work on it more like three as in the last three. Nobody will spend money for eight years to make a video game no way. Movies don't take that long to make and they cost a lot more to make too. Maybe microsoft used to spend that much time and money working on windows but not anymore. When content is cut a lot then we know it was kid of rushed at least and if they really took eight years then nothing would have been cut they could have finished it in time.

I hate how they leave stuff out like that under the excuse of running out of time. They had all the time in the world they just wanted to push out the game and didn't care about us like EA with ME3. Maybe the unofficial patch guys can bring it back like they did for skyrim with their cutting room floor mod.

Yeah the crafting thing is annoying because who would not collect stuff way before the player came along? There are no factories making needed things only farmers and chem dealers busting their asses to keep people high and fed. I guess the implication from the opening movie is that with a near limitless energy supply, people produced so much stuff and consumed so much stuff that nobody would collect it all for a long time and since the population dramatically decreased from billions to thousands it kinda makes sense that a lot of stuff would still be laying around. I don't think a set of clothing would last 200 years though or a sweet roll either. All these factions that popped up after the war was over you think some of them would have build factories after a while but nope. Only cheats I use are the "bat craft" mod and the "bat mat-ship" mod that adds a bunch of shipments to your inventory instead of raw crafting materials. Just dump the shipments into the workbench and get building. I just max out a pipe rifle to .45 recon short scope then give one to each settler that way I get the xp from crafting each one and each settler comes with a free pipe rifle. I don't use those jack up the perks mods or whatever since that is what power armor is for.

Mothership zeta, some BoS DLC and maybe one other from F3NV thats probably why the space is there lol.

LOL BoS is written that way by biased writers trying to push their crap on customers I hope you guys noticed that. The institute and synths story is written so poorly it feels like a huge burden to deal with later on. In skyrim the various factions didn't have any problems with each other but in fallout we have all this "rabble rabble" that is not necessary or enjoyable. I think they intended the player to take over the BoS at some point but left it out. I remember reading something about it on the unofficial patch page somewhere.

Nobody wants to sit in front of a computer for many hours and these days nobody has the time to do that either. Thanks to the cell phone and social netowrking most people barely touch their computer if they even have one and it will most likely be a laptop. Majority of cell phone wielding computer users are probably kids in middle and high school and college students everyone else is too busy trying to pay bills. Until we get computers in our brains that allow us to multitask 100% like in ghost in the shell series we won't see any huge increase in gaming or tech use... or you know if the economy improves and people don't have to work so much for the same money that too.

That stuff in a box causing slowdowns makes sense. I added 50k fireworks to my inventory with console command once while patch v1.5 was still new and my game froze every few seconds. I went back to an earlier save and the freezing stopped. I don't think this game likes the inventory of anything having thousands of items. I noticed that when I first get to sanctuary with presto gravey and pals the crafting menu is fast on any of the benches but over time as I keep dumping combat armor and guns into the workbench the crafting menu gets slower and slower. I'm gonna have to get used to the idea of just selling combat armor or scraping it instead of hoarding it lol. I think what really slows me down is the transition to far harbor and timing it just right so I get the dialogue choices I want from the factions I want them from. I don't want to tell dima I am from the brotherhood but instead from the railroad and do the courser mission but for some reason I couldn't get that mission last time I think it is because that railroad dialogue was missing.

Just wait until they screw up your pc with an "update" and unless you are running certain versions of 10 you can't disable windows updates.

Not just the fault of malicious console players but also of paid mods and bugs and CK still in beta. Doesn't help that the economy is bad everywhere too aaaaand it is an election year for major countries around the world too.

Well v169 fixed the face problem with the dc guard helm but there are other bugs like even though I didn't get close enough to trigger kid in a fridge quest the two named npcs with unique weapons in quincy don't drop their unique weapons anymore clint and tessa. You can set steam to not update F4 but you can't set steam to not update itself and when steam updates itself it also tries to update everything else.

Bios warnings about fans were only from HP computers I think and those fans were crap too. Had to keep buying them on amazon for people I would help with their laptops sometimes. I never ran into a fan that was welded to the heatsink though, usually just some tiny screws in there to hold it down. Don't rely on that emergency shut down I have seen it fail to work many times over the last decade starting with pentium III chips. Whats that smell? unplug it quick! oh dammit the thing is fried. I have heard that many times and it always smells really bad too. Those skinny laptops that are made to break usually come sealed and unable to be opened and repaired I hate those but they are cheaper than the usual stuff. Surface pro comes to mind don't ever break the screen it is glued down.

Remember patch 1.5 and the changes to actor faces it made? Remember the diamond city guard helmets being replaced by a leather cap and a generic male face? We won't know what kind of dramatic changes they will have to make until the update comes out and it is a real tooth and nail fight with steam to delay updates of any kind. There is nothing wrong with complaining as everyone does it sooner or later.

Dam that 40fps is too low for me, also a laptop is not something you really want to strain it doesn't have the same decent cooling performance as a desktop pc. Strain that one little fan too much and risk causing heat damage. How would you strain it? running under max load for hours and hours non stop by playing a highly demanding game. Why would you only have 1gb of ram? ram is super cheap now you can get 4gb of it for laptops for cheap from the internet and some local stores. Hard drive space matters because of virtual memory usage and how windows malfunctions in general.

I found some of those in my search but there are problems in all those mods that I can't deal with. Some of them don't just fix his face, hand and skin they only fix the face or try to fix the outfits but it messes up something else. Has anyone used the no more holes nick valentine mod?

Aliens goes along with the whole 50s them blame beth for it. Want an example of things getting screwed up enough to warrant a restart? Look at what happened recently with the settler bug that caused all settlers to mess up really bad. I don't play the game so I can go shoot some bugged settlers for how many real life hours? There are a bunch of other bugs too just this one is really bad lately. Tools often screw things up because by the time I need to use something like face ripper, the game would have been updated again so would it still work? who knows until after the next update. This game is not stable sometimes and I have a feeling the fix they don't mention for cell reset will come back to bite us all in the ass later because they will have to change it again just to get it to work with whatever they do in the next few updates.

The worst thing about starting over is getting the face right again, I hope someone can make a mod to save your face as a preset so you don't have to redo it every time. Even worse is the face cannot be adjusted in great detail I cannot get rid of the todd howard face from face01 and the other faces don't interest me at all.

Actually it would be better to find a mod that increases limits at specific settlements like jamaica plain or ten pines bluff for example. The problem with increasing build limit is the game will get slower and more bogged down if the limit is increased. Also it would be better to have a small increase instead of infinite so the game loads faster. Right now I think mods like vault tec workshop and who knows maybe nuka world will change the limit thing so for now it might be really hard to find a mod like this.

What are you running this game on? is it a laptop? You know pc games require decent hardware you can't do much more than solitaire on laptop graphics and low resources like ram and hard drive space.

The thing is most people playthroughs are disrupted by patches and updates plus new mods. I don't think anyone really completely plays through this game more like get most of the way there and start over after a break of a week or two. Forever sandboxing sucks and the best way to combat it is have a ton of content to go through. Thanks to far harbor and some mods we have content like that but nuka world is up in the air for now. Once we see if that content sucks or not it will determine most people playthroughs in the future I think.

The game is still in a state of infancy, the CK for the game is still in "beta" and all the DLC (rest of the game) is not out yet. Maybe next year when or if the CK comes out of beta then maybe the unofficial patch team can fix a lot of stuff or maybe beth will fix it but you would stand a better chance winning the lottery than something like this getting fixed it has been there for a while in skyrim and other games. Only thing I can think of is the way roombounds work could be changed by beth to some extent thats about it.
