I don't like to play the whole warewolf/vampire thing because...
1 The game is bugged and I keep getting those guard remarks about fur in my ears etc even long after I completed the companions quests and cured myself of it.
2 I really hate the twilight movies/stories YUK!
3 This whole warewolf/vampire thing has been done to death and I prefer slaying these things instead of being one of them anyway.
4 Bad experience with vampirism in the last TES game oblivion was bad enough to make me want to use the console to get rid of it, this time console won't get rid of the lycanthropy bug so I have to wait for bugesthda to fix it:-(
5 There are other things to do in the game lots of other things to do.

It seems that even if an npc has the something for sale and are also supposed to be wearing it that still won't fix the problem of the npc not wearing it. I checked my changes to the college mage outfits to see if the expert or master robe wearers were wearing the replacement boots I set in their outfits and nope they are still wearing those clippy apprentice boots. I think the game will only allow an outfit change from one default outfit to another and it has to be the whole outfit not just the shoes or whatever. Changing from their default outfit to a custom made outfit results in naked mode yet wearing replacement shoes lol.
The only thing I can think of is that it is because my save file is the problem. So if I start a new game and go to the character in question they should be wearing the custom outfit? Has anyone got an answer for this?

I remember reading around here somewhere that each npc has two personalities, one is the type the player interacts with and the other is a simple attack mode type. The two types become obvious when you try to clone the npc? So clone her and then make her a follower and sacrifice her to bothelia botheia whateveritsnameis. Tell her to activate the alter and then stab her in the heart as she becomes a monument to that daedra.

I started to try and fix a few little things in the game, like the clipping shoes worn by expert and master robes wearers at the college of winterhold and also the jarl/yarls fur lined boots tried to change them out for pleated shoes in the outfit section of the ck but they don't show up? I also got tired of seeing belathor wearing that poor looking crap outfit so I changed his outfit to merchant variant outfit with fine gloves that I made too and it worked! But jarls/yarls don't change their shoes? Maybe they have to have the different shoes in their inventory? Belathor probably had all that stuff for sale in his shop maybe that is why it worked for him? That shouldn't have to be the case though it should just work. Maybe because I have a save game and their old outfits are in the save file and won't go away?
I tried searching these forums for answers but kept finding info like go to the outfits section of ck and change it:-(

Card games... well since a lot of those card games are small time business I would think they would be extremely overly sensitive to anyone using their images anywhere that they are not making money. I don't know if you have ever walked by or accidentally walked into one of those nerd places in a mall somewhere where they let people play card games and trade stuff but some of the people in there are scary people in those places! Super obsessive and will tell you off instantly just have to see you not even make eye contact and the condescending remarks go flying out of them so fast! Hate those guys lol and those are the types that run the card game brands. They probably look at places like this on a half hourly basis everyday just to see if anything even remotely like their stuff shows up here lol. I am probably exaggerating a bit but you have to meet some of these cards people before you can really understand how bent they are. Ususllay overweight and sporting a ponytail and a bad look on their face:-(
Nice cards though would be great to see some quality stuff like that available in the game.

I vaguely remember a huge uproar over spears either being taken out of a previous TES game or not added to it officialy many years ago. Maybe this is where the whole spear popularity stems from for some players?
-
Will this be a noticeable load on the game like decrease in performance in any way? Because what is done with one thing will eventually be done with ALL things and how is the game going to handle all those things using vertlet at the same time?

Need some help if someone can do it I don't have any fancy 3d programs and I just need to remove something from a mesh. The farm gloves meshes farmerglovesm_1.nif, farmerglovesm_0.nif, and farmerglovesmgo.nif specifically I want to remove that cuff with the strings under it from the back of the gloves. I made a texture to make them fine gloves as a seperate item called fine gloves in game with ck but I cannot get rid of that cuff even with texture alpha tricks the mesh part still shows up. So if someone can just delete that part on the back just chop it off right where it ends and the rest of the glove begins that would be great. I really hate the way those gloves clip through various types of clothing like thane outfits and high king outfits etc. Maybe post them up as a modders resource too? Bet I am not the only one that doesn't like the clipping. Thanks to whoever can get this done soon really appreciate it and I will post credit for them in my mod when I get it done too.

To fix the problem with the missing ring while wearing fine rainment or the male version of what elsif the fair is wearing just mod the outfit in the creation kit and where it shows the body parts it covers, deselect the ring part. Now this works for that outfit but the variant of it that torygg is wearing works just fine un modded. I don't understand why this is but it is.

Um, ok how did he do that?

This one is good
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16438
I want to mod it for myself someday soon and make it not craftable but buyable and maybe merge it with the backpack mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13732
Then make some addons like some kind of big long bag that holds swords and axes because how can you carry all that stuff where does it go? How can you carry more than one or two shields? That has bugged me since I started playing that you can carry so many shields where do they go? I know shields are worth money too but it would be better if you could only carry two max, one on your arm and one on your back, follower could do the same so you could at least carry two found shields and make some money come back later get the others or just leave them there are other ways to make money.

DOH!
Well it is a good thing that I beat them all lol. They really had me convinced that someone was murdered around there somewhere and a dead naked body was some person they found lol. I was south of riften at the time this first happened to me.
Also after becoming guild master of the thieves guild ceremony and all I decide to go to that farm far south of the town at the bottom of the grey beards temple stairs and while doing a minor side quest of finding 10 of this and 20 of that for some lizard lady I get a visit from the local thief telling me to give him all my money! Oh man why didn't he know did he not get the memo? So he fought me and I beat him too and took ALL his stuff even if I didn't need it lol.Left him there naked for being the FNG and not getting the memo.
Those bandits are really sneaky gonna have to go looking for more of them trying to fool me as sort of a quest.

This idea makes me think it will be some kind of DLC later on where you get to kill off all the bad daedra or even all daedra in the game. The hall of the vigilant or what ever the stendarr types call it might as well have DLC HOUSE written on the outside of it lol. I keep hearing some goofy idea of a theme song called DLC HOUSE in my head everytime I think about that place. Maybe to be more friendly to future game plots you get to fight each daedra for your soul and if you defeat them they let go of you so you don't have to kill them just beat them up badly?

Well it pretty much sucked to play as a nord and walk in to solitude for the first time and see a nord being executed the same way my character was almost executed and this time no dragon to distract everyone yet the player could have been that dragon. It should have been that if your level was high enough and speechcraft were high enough that you could have stopped the execution and it could have been another quest to go on to save the nords life. Like the queen would tell you that only by going to some place and retrieveing some item or defeating a powerful enemy of solitude would the nords life be spared and he would have to wait in jail until you came back with the item or proof of the the death of the enemy of solitude blah blah. His kid relatives running around saying sad things about him afterward sucked too.
The way the endings worked out it seemed like the people of skyrim were better off if you sided with the imperials. Elsif was all sad faced lol when I helped ulfric win haha! She was sitting on that throne like she had to go to the bathroom all the time and her expression kinda fit with that too lol. Solitude was all tore up after ulfric won and stayed that way but if the empire wins then windhelm is less damaged and cleaned up quickly too. For some reason though whiterun is slightly damaged forever? Would be nice to be able to buy the houses of npc that were run out of town after the civil war was over.
I can't stand the imperials and just run them through when they try to rob me on the road but it makes them look completely corrupt. I hated to kill all the stormcloaks during the civil war because they never try to rob me before during or after the civil war. Stormcloaks seem to be made up of honest people that are really fighting for something important, empire is just people in the army doing what they are told because they are paid well. There should have been a way to find out if ulfric was just a power hungry jerk or not as some kind of quest where he either reveals his true intentions or proves he is just trying to protect skyrim afterall. Would have made for a much better ending for the civil war and if he was not a power hungry jerk then the quest to find out would lead to another round at the negoatiating table to end the civil war with some discussion and more story told to the player about the thalmor. If he turned out to be a jerk it would be the player job to kill him maybe tullius or that mean lady whatshername could have tagged along or maybe hadvar could be there to report what happened to tullius etc. There are better and more entertaining ways the civil war could have ended it just feels like they didn't really give a crap.

I hate those bugs they are annoying and funny at the same time. The naked dude courier is the most funny but why are there no female naked couriers hmm?
That naked lizard guy that is only naked because he has some enchanted circlet which can't be worn at the same time as his robes? You would think that while they were making him it would have been obvious but nope. Sometimes I think they leave crap in like that just so someone will mod it out and add to the collection of mods for the game to make the game look like it has more people interested in it than it should have.

Has anyone made this yet?
This really bugs me that after finishing the main quest and basically killing the most powerful dragon in existance and he was the end of everything too so I get some respect from that one dragon that flew me to the far away place and paarthunaax is my pal but the other dragons just continue to think they are the sheet and continue to attack normally? So if I go to a minor hold and I have been fast traveling all the time the dragon will show up as soon as I get to a minor hold. I can't even travel around minor holds without this happening and it is annoying particularly in riverwood or falkreath where the stupid things buzz around and only land on buildings where I can't get to them. By the time they land several npc are dead and I have to load from a save and stay at the edge of town where there is just enough space for them to land and fight me without burning npc to a crisp before I can defeat them.
So I was thinking there could be a mod where you install it after beating the main quest so you won't get dragons attacking while you are in a major or minor hold but once you get out of the town and back on the road you are fair game for those hatin dragons:-)
You need the dragons to attack when you are early in the game but after reaching level 81 there isn't much point to it anymore since your rep is already high just about everywhere and you defeated dozens of dragons in minor holds already. This would also be useful for anyone trying to use a player owned house mod in a minor hold.

The creation kit can really grate on my nerves!
Why does it create a duplicate name under the armor section? For example I am trying to add a set of fine gloves to fineclothes01 listed under the armor section so I expand armor and select fineclothes01 and then doubleclick the boots there on the right listed as clothesfineboots01. The details window pops up for fine boots and I change the ID to clothesfinegloves01 and then change some things to be gloves instead of boots and goes on the hands instead of the feet etc. I make the armor addon item too simply by copying the farmergloves item listed there changed the name of course and it shows up in game just fine but when I exit the game and go back to creation kit, open my mod the fineclothes01 is listed TWICE under the armor section! Original is FineClothes01 and copy is fineclothes01 they both have the same info in them too so what is the point of that being there? Also it appears that the number ID of my fine gloves conflicts with apachi sky hair mod. Fine gloves that I made use 02000D62 under the armor section and 02000D63 under armoraddon section. How do I change the numbers so they don't conflict? What happens when two mods of any kind conflict like that? How do you solve that problem? Does that problem happen a lot?

I was thinking about that too but a sword is a sword, it is sharp and dangerous. Maybe the game could handle this the way headshots work, 2x damage! message could pop up for more skilled hits during combat like it does with headshots with bow and arrows. Moving in different directions makes the character swing the sword a different way and there is the power attack move which is basically a heavy swing from overhead usually. Also having a weapon in each hand makes for different combat than just one weapon in one hand. So why not move that fancy damage potential to skilled swing animations? I thinik smithing is probably one of the most popular skills in the game so it is experienced by the most number of players. After smithing is probably enchantment which I use to fill in for low damage of weapons at lower experience levels but after hitting level 40 or 50 it feels like enchantments are a waste of time in relation to weapons because the weapon damage is so high.

I really couldn't stand oblivion, it was so boring after a while that I just stopped playing it. The combat was always the same moves it was really boring. Skyrim has the killcams and different combat moves but the special moves like chopping stuff off need to be more on que and less up to percentages. Would be better if targets would completely vaporize or burn to a crisp if hit by a high level character say level 81 lol.
The crap dialogue and the lack of details in some areas makes playing this game annoying. I get to a high level like 81 and I become the harbinger and the thane of everywhere and kill the most powerful dragon in existence who was basically the end of the world and all I get for it is some stupid guard telling me that if I cause any trouble he will haul me into the dungeon of dragonsreach himself? So I ran him through without hesitation lol. But seriously why didn't they make that level of detail in the game? Some people should call you harbinger or thane or whatever you achieve not sneakthief. The biggest annoyances for me though are things like roaring fires with no chimneys like in breezehome or anywhere else and for some reason no basement for breezehome! Just a simple basement with a lot of bookshelves and one mannequin would have worked just fine. Of course the bugs too those are terrible I can't stand all the bugs.
I have played through the game only once, missed the dark brotherhood quests because I chose to eradicate them then later found out why they were so significant killing the king and all:-( I can't bear to play through this game a second time without significant modification. No way I would spend that much time to get the same thing again expecting it to be better or different somehow. So mods it is but I haven't been able to start a new character yet. I keep finding new mods to mess with and adding them to a list of mods that I will use when starting a new character lol.

This is something that really bugs me and I can't find anything that gets rid of it so if anyone can link to some info that would be great.
Basically if you are at level 30 for example and your follower just started out with you and they have a crap weapon, you wanna go to a forge and max out a good weapon for them so they can hurt something finally but the damage done by that lower level follower is not the same with that weapon that you the player at level 30 can do? So the weapon maxed out at the forge by you lets say it does 150 damage but in the hands of your new guy follower it only does 50 damage? I really hate that it just breaks the immersion of smithing for me. Why bother smithing and improving tempering when it only benefits yourself? What I like to do is eventually upgrade all my allies that are followers. Travel around and upgrade them to what suits them best then return them to their home. This I think would help the orcs in that one orc stronghold where the giants keep attacking for example.
Has anyone fixed this yet? is there a mod that changes this? The only problem with modding it is that it would probably break a bunch of other stuff?
Edit
Also forgot to mention that if you come back to that same weapon later at level 50 it is instantly more powerful as soon as you get it into your inventory than it was at level 30. It should be that you have to smith it further to make it stronger so smithing has a purpose not just level up and instantly all weapons are stronger.

Hey thanks for that! I will check it out and see if I can learn how he made the appearance different after tempering.
Some details about my mod...
I am getting rid of the dirt on clothes and shoes that I mod. I hate seeing that dirt on clothes even on clothes that I just bought from a shop. Why didn't bethesda make it so that after a while your clothes get dirty and if you use the clothes iron, an actual default in game item, you could clean your clothes and make them look like they did when you first bought them? But no it seems that all clothes even high king and queen clothes are dirty and nasty lol. So I have modded out the dirt for those important type clothes but common clothes like farm clothes etc are left alone because they should be dirty. Something else I have noticed is that some characters like belethor should be wearing merchant clothes but instead he is wearing crap clothes. The guy outside his shop that won't shut up about him has better clothes than him for some reason. Also, why didn't they make fine gloves to go along with fine boots and clothes? Farmers get gloves but rich people don't get them? We have always seen rich types in middle ages settings wearing tidy white gloves lol they don't want to touch common things or people with their bare hands but in this game only farmers get gloves:-( I am gonna try to change that soon.
-
My mod is coming along well but I am stumped with a minor problem. I am modding the fine rainment outfit for males and females, noticed that the ring is hidden when wearing the outfit as a male? The alternate outfit embroidered garment shows the ring just fine. Looked in the creation kit and looking at both outfits they have the same options selected in the body parts area so why is the ring missing?
I have everything updated to latest versions so that is not the problem and this little bug was there before updates came out anyway.
I have also noticed that some shoes clip a lot with their corresponding outfits like for example yarl outfit clips with yarl shoes aka fur lined boots. I didn't notice this when using all default stuff but when I modded the textures I could see the clipping. Why would bethesda leave stuff like that lol? They could have just chosen pleated shoes for all male yarls and it would have looked just fine. Also the expert mage robes clip a lot with their default shoes but not with the arch mage boots which seem to be made to fit that outfit.
I am gonna post some pics soon just working out these bugs.

MODS!
Lots of mods for everything! Spend your life away modding things lol. I am in the same boat but want to go through the game again but do things better this time. But if I play it again I don't want to look at the exact same game again that would be boring. So mods for characters and clothes and weapons and armor and houses and whatever. Beats waiting around for dawnguard which has been spoiled to death by game review sites and kiddie console videos on youtube.
-
Well crap, I started out developing a thane stuff improvement mod and now I am finding myself editing clothing textures and making alternates of clothing textures and making clean clothes versions of important clothes no more dirty clothes! I guess I will be done with this mod someday lol.
What is bugging right now though is why is there a clothes iron in the game? Does it work or something or is it just clutter? Then I got an idea, what if there was a way to make the game use dirty version of a clothing item after one game our or if the player traveled outside the city walls of any walled city but some holds are non walled so I guess after an hour or a few hours the clothes the player wears would change from clean to dirty? Then the clothes iron could be used to make them clean again? Sounds like something scripting related for sure.

Doesn't the game files have a skull by itself somewhere? I know I have ran across broken skeletons before and after beating one their bones scatter and their heads fall off too? So there should be a skull file somewhere right?
Also it sounds like your having texture problems during export somehow.
