I would love to ride a cyclone and be able to transform it when I wanted to carry it around with me inside of a place or walk somewhere without leaving it behind. The jets are 50ft tall they would be like driving liberty prime around but there is no flying in this game. Maybe get some of those big dam walking artillery pieces that stood on the hull of the SDF-1 while it was attacking something. I forget their names but those things were monsters with giant gun barrels for arms. One of them had four big gun barrels on the back and guns on each arm. Robotech was totally badass even if it was three totally and completely different shows smooshed together to bypass some crappy american tv broadcasting standard.

Brotherhood or Railroad first?

So lets say I do the BoS ending even though I did all the railroad stuff and MM stuff and BoS stuff before going to the glowing sea, after the institute is dead what can happen if I go to railroad HQ or the castle? I remember there is this quest where ronnie shaw wants you to blow up the prydwen with 12 artillery cannons from different settlements does she try to spam you with that after the institute is dead? -
I think there would only be one vault in china and it would be for their dear leaders lol they see everyone else as beneath them. Kinda also fits in with the america winning situation there as well since it would be more out of desperation than anything else. They most likely don't have a vault tec evil scientist corporation of their own either but instead steal vault tec data from them on a regular basis. From what I have read on wikia pages the enclave started the war anyway by forcing america to fire first otherwise china and america would have fought for some time over resources conventionally.

Awesome! There is a modder here on nexus doing uniforms like boston police or fbi maybe this will convince them to make a badtfl uniform? Gonna try this myself and see what I can do with it thanks. -
I have been trying for hours to find some kind of circle patch or logo for BADTFL and can't find one. I thought about sticking it on some armor mods like a shoulder patch logo or a uniform patch or something for nick to wear instead of that ugly worn out trench coat. Has anyone found something like this?

I have many gun mods installed and I don't know which ones cause this bug but any assault rifle or sub machine gun vanilla or modded has their rate of fire bug after a while where they go to 400 or some crazy number unless I mod the thing in a workbench to use some other receiver then exit the game then start the game again. Sometimes that doesn't work either it just stays bugged until I use other guns for a while. Anyone else have this bug?

I don't think there was any mention of vaults in china and I kinda doubt there would be. What I find strange is why drop troops into the USA or china when nuclear bombs are falling all over the place? Most of those troops would be dead not long after they arrived and when playing these games since fallout 3 I always thought the whole bombs thing was BAM! and it was over but no there was all kinds of stuff going on right after the bombs fell which is just strange and kinda impossible to believe. We know that the idea of missile defense was used in new vegas by mr house so it is conceivable that the chinese or even the US would have used it elsewhere but since the goal of the enclave and vaultec was to wipe out everyone outside of the vaults I doubt the US had any other missile defense besides mr house. The chinese would have survived anywhere their guberment didn't drop bombs in the US and it could be said they had moved at least some portion of their civilian population to rural middle of nowhere areas before the war started so they where not anywhere near military targets. Maybe some people fled into caves and mountain areas too. When you see some chinese npc in a fallout game you have to think they are probably descendants of whoever was left over and managed to survive after the war was over.

The lasers thing... I don't see how a laser could ever be inaccurate I mean it travels at the speed of light because it is light so it would be instant on target in game. I like pew pew stuff just like anyone else but I have always felt like they got lasers all wrong in fallout 4 and older games. Should be a very fast repeating weapon so whatever the laser touches burns pretty fast and has the least chance to go completely through and hit something behind the target. The sound would be like a light bulb burning out sound or some fffffffffffffffptttt!!!!!!!!!!! sound hard to describe it but the laser would not be set to just emit continuously. The idea other than not hitting something behind the target is to use the least amount of energy possible so ammo lasts the longest time possible. I wouldn't bring a more realistic energy weapon like that anywhere near a giant blimp though. Other than this the thing shouldn't be called a laser it would be more like some fancy sci-fi particle thrower so that fantasy "slug of energy" we all expect to see from guns like this would actually be a mass of energized particles like star wars ion cannon or whatever. Look at those videos on youtube of the navy testing directed energy weapons and there is even a video of that commercial plane with the lasers in the nose that can shoot down missiles from far away it takes about 5 to 10 seconds to burn through a moving test target. I can't remember where exactly these videos are on youtube I have just seen them over the years but they should still be there just have to search. Energy weapons in fallout 4 just kind of suck and that whomp whomp sound from lasers really sucks I hate it. I was so glad when I found that terminator weapons sounds mod on nexus omg so much better then I found a good sound for the laser rifle sounds from some old game mod I had on my hard drive.- 2743 replies

Chinese stealth armor, should I release it ?

Oh hell yeah release this mod! Just make sure it doesn't clip with the marine combat armor or regular combat armor and some other stuff people would probably wear over it. Don't forget to have non transparent visors too. I like how I can find the current stealth armor mod with a little story built into a vanilla quest but actually I was wondering why not make something like this into a bigger quest mod maybe a chinese ship sank off the coast during invasion and there is a ton of gear in there so the player has to retrieve it for X or Y faction and maybe the US was developing their own counter gear so they had a prototype stored in the switchboard vault just before the bombs fell and the player finds it while helping deacon to get some busted stealth boy out of there. -

Oh yes we need multiple starts because the same start again and again is super boring. Imagine if you could start as a member of the BoS or the institute or the railroad or the gunners or whoever. There could be a starting area where you go on some missions as a member of the faction and depending on your choices in those missions you end up in different places of the main map area then start the main quest and all the different starts can intersect the main plot in the same key areas but have some interesting details to go along with that. They could have written a much better story than run out of the vault to find someone and they could have left that allegory political crap out of the game too. Writing the BoS as conservatives to bash on was really pathetic of them. When games don't have allegory crap shoved into them the entertainment value is much higher. With fallout new vegas the railroad was about freeing human slaves but with fallout 4 oh boo hoo think of the poor robots... the player is not going to be gushing over saving synths it just feels like an empty cause now if it was other humans that would be different. Maybe the plot could have been about stopping the institute from taking humans before they were killed and replaced by synths. There is a lot to do in this game but the writing is so boring and bad it all feels like a giant waste of time except to try out new weapons and major mods or overhauls. Skyrim feels like oblivion now I just can't be bothered with it anymore. We need a new game that doesn't suck and all we are getting is the same game in "VR" oooooh waaaaw pfffffttt!!!!!! and some more allegory crap shoved into the next wolfenstein game. The best thing for beth to do is reboot the game and write a really good story telling us all about this alternate USA and how things went so wrong, give us all the juicy details and the drama with some convos between the player and the secret members of the enclave or whatever other factions are really responsible for starting WWIII. Tell us all about it with a good story and logical game design leave out the allegory crap so we can finally escape that crap for a few hours here and there as we are already bombarded with it constantly every day. They should hire all new writers that have never had anything to do with a fallout or skyrim game and don't have any political chips on their shoulders. -
I have the modern firearms mod installed and it changed his reba gun to a heavily modded M4? with an under barrel grenade launcher so when I rolled up on his house he already popped two mirelurks with that launcher just like that and I barely had time to get a bead on the third because I was too busy laughing at him to shoot straight.

Even worse with a mod like modern firearms where stagger is boosted a whole lot and also I think staggering these things causes a bug sometimes where they won't crash or explode if defeated.

Anyone ever take a look at an npc face when they are talking to your character in the convo camera angle? You can see the npc face details and their eyes look like they are gonna extrude off the sides of their face wtf? Eyes don't do that how in the hell did beth get that part so wrong? That dalton lady at far harbor is perfect example her eyes look like they are sliding off the sides of her face like what the hell here... I have no idea how many npc there are in the game but most of them are screwed up like that and of course we the players have to become modders to fix it because reasons:-(

To answer the OP because the writing is terrible and beth doesn't care. The next fallout game if they ever make one should have multiple starts each from a different location with a much better story. maybe some part of the world didn't get frozen in time for the sake of terrible writing and bad story telling skills. -

Just open console and click on the npc then close the console and fast travel back to the settlement. Once there use the console again and use the moveto command on that npc they won't appear the first time you use it so do it again right after that and presto there they are. You finish the quest and get their derpy dialogue too for saving them. -

Basically the footsteps sounds made by the PA are out of sync they sound like double time instead of normal running sounds and this only happens with PA not anywhere else. I read somewhere that the rig for PA was not figured out yet but that doesn't make any sense considering all the custom PA mods we have now on nexus. I have read some other things saying that things are not set as paired whatever that means. I thought you might know more about it since you are doing custom animations or know someone who does.- 2743 replies

This idea seems to be the bermuda triangle of mods because any time someone tries to make this it goes on and on for almost a year then just vanishes never to be finished case in point: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/7536/? Did this mod ever get finished? I have seen some mods on nexus for vanilla guns converted to gauss but I hate those cheesy things. Other mods on nexus make some kind of half new meshes half vanilla rehash meshes and they are loaded with bugs.

While clearing jamaica plains I lost sight of ada so I used the moveto command on her but she did not appear so instead I made a dumb decision to use recycleactor command on her then she appeared nearby but her default parts were installed again and her personality was disabled. Now when I try to talk to her my character says her name after selecting the talk option in dialogue menu but she doesn't say anything and it doesn't start the convo with her. She talks as if her personality is disabled and I can't find an option to enable it again. Her affinity is still the same though it hasn't reset or gone up just working normally.

Does "Transfer Settlements" grant XP?

THIS RIGHT HERE^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I keep asking this same damned question on the comments section of that mod and nobody EVER answers me I was starting to think I was the only one that thought about this stuff. So far it does not grant XP for anything imported but it should I think. There should be a limit so you only get the XP once after import instead of spamming import to get XP and ruining game play. Because there is no XP granted what happens is your character takes a lot longer to level up past the initial perks and get to something decent like armor level 3 and gun nut 3 so you can get medium combat armor and decent enough gun mods and decent enough power armor mods. I guess it is better to slow down the fast leveling in this game but just not at the beginning. By the time I get to far harbor I can almost one shot anything and that just helps to remind me how boring the story is for far harbor. -
Well... it is summer 2017 it doesn't get any more summer than this so where is this greedy thing creation club anyway?

So are you saying the chinese stealth suit files are somehow burried in fallout 4 game files? They own the damn files mate. They have the base .max files they can just open in the modeling program and work on. Ah thats what you were getting at then, well that costs money and time but yes they could do it but why not let someone else release something as part of their new shiny system instead? Would be nice to know if they did such a thing or not but I think we will find out soon just like last time with steam paid mods where they had content ready to go as soon as they announced it.
