Make a backup copy of masterlist.yaml, then delete the existing copy and try running Vortex again
LOOT is built into Vortex
That didn't seem to work... I copy-pasted masterlist.yaml in the same folder and deleted the original and it didn't do anything. Unless I'm doing something wrong?
When you copy pasted the masterlist.yaml did you end up with materlist (copy).yaml or did you just overwrite it?
Vortex needs to 'get' a new version of the masterlist.
Just move the masterlist.yaml out of the directory so there's no masterlist.yaml in the folder and try againWhen I copy pasted masterlist.yaml, I had masterlist (copy).yaml.
I moved out the masterlist.yaml out of the directory and still nothing.
Still getting that error you posted in the OP when you start up Vortex?
Yep.

When I open Vortex, I get a message box saying that an unrecoverable error has occurred. When I ignore it, it gives me this message:
Error: yaml-cpp: error at line 1, column 3: unknown escape character:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Same. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Vortex and got the same issue.
