Looking forward to it......these guys don't just sit back and watch the money roll in do they! Unlike many others.......You listening ....Bethesda....Blizzard.....EA..... ???????????????

It might have been worth trying a new game from scratch, there might be some flaw in the save that carried over from your previous install.
-
I guess you'd have to create the thing in something like Gimp or Nifscope and then find a programme that will convert it to the right format for the Witcher game engine to read and use one of the existing file names so that the old file is over written with the new mesh and texture. I've no idea if it is possible to import completely new objects to the game world. I use mods and am not that good at making 'em. The TES is about the sum total of my meagre modding ability.

The witcher 1 does have a construction kit i think, may be wrong but idk for sure
Yeah sorry thought I was in TW2 forum. I don't know for sure but I don't think it was a complete construction set, more of a quest editor, I tried a couple of mods some time back which seemed to be the standard landscapes and cells with different NPC's and dialogue/quests. Certainly nothing as encompassing as something like TES3 and 4.
-
And how would he get that thing ingame?!
At this time...............with the greatest difficulty!
When and if a full construction kit is released then it should be possible.
-
Yep, I have 9 different folders, doesn't take a lot of effort to just highlight the saves and click "Copy to".............

The rate I smoke I doubt if I'll live that long!

Well I for one don't have that much time on my hands!

A sword taken from Anime, "real" versions have been produced by some of these companies making swords, like Battle Orders and similar groups. To the best of my knowledge they are basically concept blades and not copies of actual blades used in the past.

Speaking as a person who has practiced swordsmanship for 30+ years I don't think the design is that good, the weight distribution would be all wrong, the one shown on this video appears to be just a flat piece of shaped steel with an edge, a blow to the side would probably snap it, there is a lot of difference between blades that look good and practicality.

I haven't heard of one, it would make sense if you had killed the victim with a thrown blade for it to still be embedded in the body, but on the other hand how come all the armed attackers you end up wasting have rarely got the armour and weaponry showing in their inventory? You can be certain the sod had it at the time of attacking so where did it all go?

That looks very comprehensive, nice work. So this goes in with savegames and config rather than with the main game installation then.

I guess we all have games that hit us like that.....I had the same with Drakensang.....gave it a miss for a time and then tried it again and enjoyed it, the same may well happen for you with this one.

To elaborate on Tommy's answer, pressing Z activates your amulet, anything within a reasonable range (looks like something in the order of 10 to 15 meters from Geralt) carries a sustained orange glow for a minute or two if it can either be
1). activated (doors, traps, etc) or
2). is a lootable container. (including plants with ingredients and bodies)
This can, on a few occasions, get annoying as there are a few containers that you just can't get in the right position to loot. In the town before going down into the sewer there are at least 2 small cabinets and a bookshelf that contain something but the furniture arrangement makes it impossible to get within range. However on the plus side you will find that there are also occasions where bodies have disappeared before you have has the chance to loot them, pressing Z will highlight the positions where the small remaining loot sacks are, quite often these can be obscured by undergrowth and other statics, but using this method you can find them.

Tommy, you're that damn good I think the company should employ you as a troubleshooter!

know this is not the mod request section, and that's why I'm posting here! obviously nobody is checking the mod request section, or at least if they are nothing is getting done so...
I was wondering, is there Any Way to reset you skill tree before act three, some sort save edit tool or tutorial i could follow to do such a thing without having to wait so damn long? please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
(p.s. a mutagen reset mod/tool/guide would also be extremely helpful!)
The other reason that you haven't had any replies is probably that as yet there is no way to do such a thing without some sort of official tool-set, no-one has replied because no-one can do it.

Good to know, thanks. My game developed lots of blacked out triangles especially in the cut-scenes, maybe this will fix it.

At a guess I would say that a reduced poly count was used so that the game would play on lower end machines, it has physical animation after all and a higher poly count means a lot more processing power taken up on the rendering, the result might be that fewer NPC's could be displayed at any given point leading to that static almost uninhabited feel that many games in the past had.
-
I think the last time I played through that part it took about 15 attempts, even running full tilt the damn workers had swarmed to block the way by the time I got there.
-
I found the damn workers kept getting in the way and barring the way through the third set of mine supports @ Mckrty you need to hit those supports with Aard to bring the roof down on the Queen, if you are the wrong side you get crushed as well.

Can Anyone verify that it is 1.3 compatible??
Thanks
Most mods are compatible with the 1.3 patch but only after installing the 1.3 patch and never before . If you have any mods installed and try to run the 1.3 patch it will throw an error stating the the game is invalid or incomplete . So you need to uninstall all mods and then run the 1.3 patch and then reinstall the mods.
EDIT : confirmed that the Triss Nude Patch WORKS with patch 1.3
Strangely enough, I've a few mods running, I manually downloaded the patch, extracted it to a folder that contains all my mods and patches, hit the EXE and it patched the game without any problems. I've deleted all the old savegames to start anew with the new patch so it will be interesting to see if I have to re-install the old mods.

You can always make a save by hitting Esc and then there is an option to save.
-
That's good to know, thanks.

Nice work, looks like the scars were received a long time ago and are fading with age. This makes sense with his chopped up looks from the first game.
Ehh, from a realistic point of view, if you got sliced by a sword deep enough to cause loss of tissue / deformities, the scars will look really nasty. Especially since they didn't have plastic surgery back then.
There again Geralt is supposed to be about 100 years old and the Witcher training and mutations enhance his recovery speed, and scars do fade, the ones I got in my youth are virtually invisible now ....40 years on..... and at the time I got them it was very rare for anyone who wasn't a burns victim to get plastic surgery. So I stand by my previous comment.

Are items stored in the chest in Flotsam available in the chest in Vergan or do you have to empty the thing out before moving to the new area?
Which mods to use on the first time playing?
