  1. Im trying to give henry a new face. I have successfully changed his face by simply renaming another face file (which appears to be the .skin files) however the texutres seem to always be henrys face textures. Even when i edit the .mtl file that apparently controlls it. Also if the face has any extra parts like a beard or other pieces of hair they show up without any textures. I cant figure this out for the life of me how to change what textures the mesh is using and how to force it to load textures for the other head parts. Please if anyone has more knowledge on these types of files and how they work I would really like the help. (I know the .mtl is suppose to do it but it seems no matter what i do to that file it wont respond in game.)

  3. Does anyone know the file path for Vesimir's old hat? I'd like to do some fun mods with it but I can't find it anywhere.
  4. I would like someone to make a mod that gives Lambert a big beard and long hair or ponytail with blue eyes and light brown hair. This is what my brother looked like and I would like to have an adventure with him using the companion mod. He passed away last year and we used to play D&D together as adventuring brothers. This would kind of be like that again. This would be awesome. Thank you.
  5. Ok so I found a way to get the texture from a skyrim mod that uses the same one. so Im good there. Im still perplexed about the beard tho. It seems that no matter what mesh I import, the textures dont apply. Its just a blank mesh. Any ideas?
  6. I am trying to get my hands on the .tga files for Lamberts armor. I unfortunately do not have them for some reason, and i can no longer get tga files with the modkitchen for some stupid reason. Anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Also. I added a big beard to lamber, but the textures arent loading on it, or any other mesh i replace. Any ideas?
  7. Could someone please remove the dragon head and horse head carvings from the buildings in whiterun? I have tried to do so in nifscope but they are almost always attatched to something else in the mesh. Also importing into 3ds max isnt working for me. I am working on an overhaul for skyrim to make it more authentic medeival era, much like skyrim medieval onlymore thorough and complete. These dragon carved buildings are a must go. They kill the vibe of whiterun even now that its completely retextured. Please help.
  8. An idea on how it might be done, if it cant be removed all together, set the respawn time for all monsters to an insanely high rate, like a few months real time. This way you only kill them one more time and they would be gone for a great deal of time.
  9. Anybody else feel it a bit strange that monsters of all sorts inhabit every square inch of the world? I love the monster hungting quests, the feeling of a town being plagued by a nearby nested monster. The fate and lives of the people, their ability to grow crops and trade, all effected by a single looming beast that is gobbling up their townsfolk. It adds a real sense of danger to monsters. People willing to pay all the coin they have for geralt to slay a single beast. Yet, as soon as I leave that town with a fat purse 5 drowners and a swamp hag ambush me from a small puddle, and I kill them for free. And 5 feet further and a wraith circles a crop feild. Somehow these creatures arent a problem for the townsfolk? How are they able to farm or trade, when any time they walk out of town they would be ambushed by necrophages? Or is Geralt simply a monster magnet? I think it would be much more immersive if random monster spawns were removed from the game (leaving animal spawns alone of course). This mod could be compiled with other mods that make monsters more difficult, to make a real immersive and mysterious feel for monsters. I think this would create a very immersive world for the witcher 3, and so I am making a request for someone to create it, if at all possible.

  12. I am seeking all textures related to the cavalry gauntlets as well as the lyrian heavy leather trousers for a mod i would like to make. Anyone who has uncooked the game files and has found these mods and delivers them to me, I will make a custom texture of any one kind for them as well, provided they provide me with the textures needed for their request. if you would like to check the quality of my work i believe its speaks for itself.   13. Im searching for a way to make Ciri dodge and roll like Geralt, istead of teleport. Maybe have her teleport abilities function more like Geralts signs, that way she can still use them sometimes but only when you want to. I find it immersion breaking that she teleports all the time in combat, yet in story she talks about not being able to control her powers and not wanting to use them because it leads the wraiths to her. Yet there is no real alternative in game so you almost have to use it or get beat up all the time because you cant dodge. I would like to make it possible to dodge and roll in combat most of the time, and only use powers when things got hairy, like when fighting the wild hunt. I tried changing the commands from 'ciridodge' and 'ciridash' to 'dodge' and 'roll' in the input.settins.ini, but it does not seem to work on Ciri. She doesnt seem to be compatible with Geralts actions. I know no other way to do it. Perhaps scripting would make this possible?
  14. could someone please retexture the handle for longclaw? I love everything about the sword and its a good weapon but oh man do I hate that your awesome mastercraft sword has a crummy wrapped handle. Like the smith was just like nah, I aint trying to deal with that, ill just wrap a rag around it.

  16. I was just being humerous. A title with a little pizaz. No offence at all of course. I would absolutely love to do it, unfortunately the mediocre mod tools CDPR released do not work for me. So I am unable to extract the files. If someone uploaded them for me in an editable format I would be happy to make so many colors your head will spin! lol. I am working with a very generous modder currently who is assisting me in getting some textures so I can make some mods, hopefully we will solve this on our own. But it never hurts to ask!
  17. Title says it all. Its an extremely easy task to do, recolor and lighten and darken the hair and beard a few times for a selection of varied hair colors for Geralt. A lot of people have been asking for it and its yet to be done. Who will be the one to answer our prayers?
  18. I am a 2d and 3d modder and i am looking to make some mods for the witcher 3. Unfortunately the "mod kit" they released is little more than a buggy piece of code, and for whatever reason simply will not allow me to export any of the files. I have been at it for 8 hours trying to solve the issue and nothing I do resolves it. I have even asked other modders to assist in my endeavor with no avail. So sadly I am now at the mercy of CDPR to release an actual modkit, and if that never happens, then i will be unable to provide mods for the witcher 3. That is unless..... Anyone who has the modkit working and is able to extract files from it, if you are willing to provide me with the textures or meshes in an editable format, I will gladly make you a personal texture or mesh mod with them, of the highest quality. I will also release alongside it a texture and mesh edit of my own design with the same files. There is a catch, I require the geralt textures for his face body and hair befor I do any other mod. This is a must. I will make a custom version of geralt for you if you would like, or you can simply provide them alongside the textures you would like edited. Once I have a copy of geralts textures I will no longer require them for any other mod requests. Lets make some mods together.
  19. In response to post #27850804. #27850919 is also a reply to the same post. Thats what I believe happened as well. Even if this was a beta its trash. Even if this was a pre-alpha id be a little worried. This is a small piece of code that allows you to use your command prompt to force export files from the witcher. and it doesnt even work for everyone. there is no UI of any kind. This isnt a program. This isnt a modkit. This is a piece of code. That is all. This would be a building block for which part of the RedKit would need to be built.
  20. Dont expect much. Ive been trying to work with these "mod tools" for 4 hours now and i will tell you now, they are aweful. I was so excited when i saw that they had been released, but these "tools" are garbage. It is so hard and tedious to conver files to a editable form, and its not even working for me for reasons beyond my understanding. The tool simply fails every time i use it. and it only allows for the exporting and importing of one singe file at a time. Ive seen amateurs make better unpacking tools than this in a couple weeks time, for a dev team to release this as is, is almost pointless, i would rather have waited then be teased into thinking there was a mod kit out. there is no earthly reason this program shouldnt simply unpack and convert every file at once. There is no reason the program shouldnt have a user interface of some sort in order to select file paths for importing and exporting, instead of having to manually input commads into cmd: This tool is junk. I really had high hopes for witcher 3. and sadly, i have been continually let down by them. To push a game back months and months to "get it perfect" only to release a game that doesnt even have simple basic features like fov settings, and to release mod tools of this quality? This game is a glorified medieval red dead redemption. definately not living up to the hype. I am saddly disapointed today

  22. Hello everyone, My im DarthIre, I am an experienced modder of all of the bethesda titles. I am currently looking to build a mod team to help in the production of a completely new game using the Fallout NV engine. The story will take the player on an exciting and intelligent, gritty adventure within the Star Wars universe, in a way it has never been done before. This is an extremely ambitious mod but is completely achievable with the proper team of active modders. That is exactly what I intend to bring together. The mod is already well underway. I have created many of the weapons and armor, as well as the weapons and armor provided by Ghogiels, and am currently working on creating the unique monsters and races for the star wars universe. Cire992 has provided us with a fully functional worldspace of Tatooine (the start of the adventure and and the bulk of the first installment of the mod). If you have are an active modder and would like to be a part of this mod team, please message me. Please comment on below to keep the forum active, and spread the word to help promote the mod. The more it is known the more talented people will join, and the better the mod will be, and the faster it will be completed. I will post a spoiler link below to the beginning of the story for all those interested. Also we need someone to help us create a mod webpage to further collaborate and promote the mod in full detail. Thank you, and may the force be with you.
