  1. I haven't been to TESNexus in almost a year... What happened to the mod Montana's Sexy Companion II? Why was it taken down? And are they ever going to update it?
  2. I don't think you have any idea how many people before you have wanted to play as Nightmare... (or how much I've wanted to play as him) There was a Nightmare mod for Morrowind, but alas, it has not yet been made for Oblivion. I've also played the Soul Edge mod, and the 2 issues I've had that caused me to drop it are the purple shining through all the little 'wrinkles', and the fact that in 1st person mode with the weapon out, the 2-handed weapon stance caused it (due to its massive size) to block half my screen. Resizing it would fix the problem, but nobody ever did that. A better fix would be to make a new 2hander stance similar to how Nightmare holds Soul Edge (down on the ground in one hand while idle), but of course that would take work, and then you wouldn't see the sword in 1st person when idle. I think the main problem is that nobody wants to be the one to have to make his armor/arm mesh (the arm especially) because it's somewhat complicated. That said, if someone did make this mod it would be the fulfillment of my single greatest and 1st mod request ever. And a lot of others' as well I'm sure. (For reference, I don't know about you but I'm specifically talking about his armor from SC2, and not the odd 'fish' set from 3 or 4. Bat-winged helmet ftw!)
  3. I don't know how much work it would take to make this mod (probably a lot), but I must give you credit for the original idea. I like it. At 1st I thought your request had something to do with Assassin's Creed 2, since in that game there's a chance that a pickpocket will steal some of your money and you have to hunt them down to get it back. I thought that was pretty cool, but your idea is even better. (although the pickpocket thing would be great in oblivion and fit nicely with this mod, too)
  4. Well, Invincible is only the most BADASS mount in the entire game... And there's already a full suit of Lich King armor to go with it. I say someone should make this, and if it's made well and made steady (as in minimal lag/crashes while flying) then I have no doubt it will become the single most popular mount mod. People who don't like flying mods can just keep it in ground mode, people who only like flying could keep it just flying, and people who like both will just cream their pants at the thought. The switching part seems fairly simple too, just tie a key to switching the mode while mounted. Visually, the wings are furled and appear smaller when in ground mode, and they grow to full size for mounted mode. And you should only be able to switch when you're on the ground, because otherwise you'll end up dying repeatedly from mispresses... But yeah, I fully endorse this mod. Hell, it's pprobably the only way most of us who play WoW will ever even touch it. To get this in WoW you have to beat the hardest boss in the hardest dungeon on the hardest difficulty, and if you kill Arthas then you still have to win the loot roll vs 24 other people. And if you don't win the roll you have to wait about a week to try again.
  5. You could just use multiple smaller mods at the same time. Not all armies are made up of a single force...
  6. I 500% endorse this mod idea. That is possibly the single best thing someone could do to improve Oblivion, is to have more DB contracts. I still haven't finished the Main Quest because I always start with the Dark Brotherhood, then half of Thieve's Guild, some of the Mage Guild quests, fiddling with mods, then I end up getting bored and/or frustrated from crashing and I stop playing. 5 months later I'll start a new game. Repeat. So yeah more DB contracts (creative ones like the above, and not just 'go here, kill this guy, come back, reward, repeat' because that will get boring fast...) would be absolutely wonderful.
  7. I totally endorse this mod. It would go well with its World of Warcraft equivalent, the Death Knight armor that I've been requesting for over a week now.
  8. Lots of WoW stuff being made/requested this week... Startng to give me hope that someone will pick up my Death Knight armor request (conveniently located on page 2 or 3 by now  )
  9. That's just awesome. Maybe he'll make *ahem* a Death Knight armor next...?
  10. And the Nords can be modified into Norscans who worship the Gods of Chaos, Argonians can be modded into Lizardmen, the Empire can stay as-is but with more skulls and religious fanatics, and Dark Elves become evil. There can be Skaven too, just for lols. Ogres will be turned into a player race and faction. Undead will be in 2 factions, skeletal Tomb Kings and the more traditional undead ruled by the Vampire Counts. Wood Elves will become reclusive forest-dwellers. Orcs will become dumber, and Goblins will also become a race/faction, allied with the Orcs. They can ride spiders into battle. Instead of Oblivion Gates opening, they will be portals into/out of the Realm of Chaos, and all daedra will be replaced with the Warhammer version of Daemons. Bretons can be Brettonians, Altmer will obviously be the High Elves. A whole Dwarven race will be added to the game. And the Khajit can just go suck it, because Warhammer doesn't need furries. (Oh wait, Beastmen. But who cares about Beastmen, anyway?) Yeah, this will be made and released on December 22nd, 2012, right after Squats get a new codex in 40k, GW fires Jervis Johnson, and C. S. Goto writes a book that doesn't suck, and contains no multilasers. Although if you think about it... Wouldn't Oblivion be the perfect game to convert into Warhammer? You already have most of the races, most with minimal modification needed. There are already Dwarf mods out there. You would have to replace a lot of the enemies, though. The story would have to be scrapped completely. Completely new voice-acting weould be needed for many aspects of the game. New character models would have to be made for the Daemons and Skaven, new armor for the elven races, Empire, Chaos, and Tomb Kings. Guns would need to be introduced for Skaven/Empire. Also the map should probably be cghanged, if everything else is being revamped as well. Now this all would be a LOOOT of work. But it would also be significantly easier than doing all of the above and every other aspect of making a game, completely from scratch. Now we just need a mod team of highly skilled modders, voice actors, meash/texture makers, etc. In other words, we can all just keep dreaming and imagine what could be...
  11. Bump for great justice. 109 views, still just 2 replies. Even discounting the 4 or so views that are mine, that's pretty bad... Seriously though guys, stop making me chain-post...
  12. I agree. Then you could go slaughter some Scarlet Crusaders at Scarlet Monastery. Now I kinda wish someone would make a Stratholme mod... EDIT: *insert obligatory shameless self-promotion of my Death Knight armor request*
  13. Oh snap... Now why couldn't this have been the response to my Death Knight armor request? That scythe is sweet though.
  14. I think it would be pretty funny/cool/whatever, and I agree that it seems very simple for a mesh-savvy modder. I endorse this request.
  15. I'm not a modder and I certainly can't create meshes and whatnot, but I could certainly open up an esp in a text program and swap some lines. If someone could tell me how to get SETI's helm transplanted into jojjo's mod (not the stats, just the helm itself. Jojjo's enchants are good enough already... :P) or better, do it themselves, I would be very appreciative. Of course, I suspect it would just be a lot easier to use the aforementioned replacement meshes, if someone who has done it already could tell me what to rename the meshes or what files to replace in the /jojjo folder. Related note about the request thread: yeah, I've seen jojjo's Dread Knight armor. I agree that it looks good, but what I want is the actual armor that's in WoW. I have a sort of emotional attachment to that armor, which is why I want to be able to wear it in Oblivion so much. But that's a discussion for another thread...
  16. 86 views but only 2 replies that aren't me, eh? Come on people, even if you don't mod you should leave a post if you support the idea. It keeps this where the modders can see it and generates more interest. Plus, the more people who want it the more likely it is that someone will pick this up and make it...
  17. It seems like so many problems could be solved if we could simply import meshes/textures from other games... I know why we can't, but it gets frustrating sometimes. For example, WoW has everything you're looking for. (everything I'm looking for too, for that matter...)
  18. Anyone? (hate to double-post but it's been 2 days now and I want to get this fixed... Surely someone has used SETI's glowing eye meshes for jojjo's Lich King Armor mod and can tell me how to install them properly...?
  19. So while I wait for some kind soul to take up my Death Knight Armor mod request :whistling: , I decided to download the famous Lich King Armor and Frostmourne mods. Both are very nice, but I wasn't satisfied with how I could still see my eyes/face under the helm. I looked up my options, and saw that SETI had created several sets of replacement helm meshes, the very 1st one which I found quite satisfactory. Look under Files-LichKing substitutions for the files, and the 'readme' is here. Unfortunately I don't think English is SETI's 1st language, because the 'readme' wasn't very clear on exactly how I go about installing the new mesh files. There are 2 files, "LichKingHelmFlame.nif" and "LichKingHelmX.nif". Neither file is already in the folder for the original mod, so there's nothing to replace without renaming something. It says to put them into the "...meshes\armor\jojjo" folder, which I did, but that just made the helm pure silver colored and removed the blue 'eyes' that were on the helm before. Then I thought that perhaps I was supposed to remove the "X", but this just makes the game crash. I also installed SETI's other mod, but I stopped using it because the "voices" you hear every time you put on one of the armor pieces really got on my nerves. (no offense  ) There are a lot of user screenshots under the original armor mod that show the helm with glowing eyes, so I presume some of you have gotten this to work. So I ask you: how did you do it?
  20. It's funny, a friend of mine who plays WoW randomly asked if there was a mod that adds this armor into Oblivion. (he plays WoW and is thinking about buying Oblivion) He also liked my suggestion for the Death Knight armor.
  21. I am in full support of any mod that adds anything from WoW to Oblivion. Especially that Death Knight armor... *hintwinknudgeshamelessrequestpromotion*
  22. Wait, the summoned creatures are summoned by another summoned creature... what? I don't know the scripting behind it, but it seems like the player is the one doing the summoning. I personally was thinking it's the same as a normal summon, except you can have more than one?
  23. Actually the only really intricate parts are the helm and the pauldrons. The rest is fairly straightforward as armor goes... Not that I'm saying it would be 'easy' to make, but certainly easier than a lot of armor mods that have already been made. And yes, it is extremely bada$$. The whole Death Knight class/starting zone/questline/gameplay is the essence of bada$$ personified. We're essentially talking about a hybrid Warrior/Necromancer/Lich. (less so on the lich part, but there are similarities.)
  24. First of all, nice story. On topic, I think this mod would be a very great mod. I won't call it impossible because it isn't, but I don't think you'll ever find enough modders to create it to quite the level you have imagined. Think about it; what you are essentially asking for is a sequel. New main quest (without one the game would be empty, and keeping the current quest directly contradicts the mod's background), very major changes to the land, new gameplay mechanisms, extensive animation/mesh/texture scratchbuilding, possibly even changes to the game's engine... You could do bits and pieces of course, replacing cells around the IC to represent the city's expansion, adding vehicles, guns; I imagine medicine would function exactly like potions. But the important thing is that you're setting this so far in the future. The game would feel half-finished if you left the current characters/storylines/quests as-is. You won't feel like you're in the future if you're spending half the game closing Oblivion gates for Martin Septim. But that's enough ranting for me; the night calls my name...
