lol, yeah.. I know, the opposite happens to me when I'm playing.. I play skyrim for like 5hrs and I feel like it was 5mins.. ;) It must be a kind of temporal compression or something... Maybe Freud can explain it better... or Einstein..

A little bit off-topic, but I found it so fun ... rofl ... this was really... an absurdly long time. =P

What I find incredible ironic is the stormcloaks have the thalmor almost like an "absolute evil"... but the most interesting part is that some people forget WHY they (stormcloaks) consider the thalmor this absolute evil... Is that because they are a militarist regime founded on beliefs of racial supremacy with the specific intent of establishing the racial superiority of Mer over Man? And then we have a rebelion (stormcloaks) which want to fight against the thalmor, but is based around narcissism? LOL... really... This stormcloak rebelion is a complete paradox ... the stormcloaks hate thalmor, however they have a similar behavior, and with a leader like Ulfric they could become a thalmor 2.0 very soon. IF they were really compromissed with their "cause", they should try to make alliances among the other races who could potentially support them, but nah.. they are more compromissed with their egos... it's almost like they deserve to lose this war... After all, there is no one in skyrim helping the thalmor more than Ulfric. This was probably the WORST time for a declared civil war. I think all these moviments/organizations/regimes/governments based around some kind of racial superiority tend to collapse soon or later. They just generate more and more wars until the collapse. Imperials aren't the "good side" too, there is the important question about the cultural supression, but after balancing both sides, I consider this the lesser of two evils, at least. And imo, that's exactly why at the first 10 minutes of the game, bethesda has created a situation where you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it also make you look at Ulfric as a poor innocent victim, and the imperials as the stupid bad guys. I'm sure the intend of Bethesda was to confuse you even more :P Ofc, this is just my perspective :P Edit: and btw a good dlc or expansion involving this (thalmor, civil war, ...) would be very cool. I would love to have an option to challenge ulfric in the "old nord way" and shout his racist ass apart, and then establishing new rules in the rebelion. For the imperials would be cool to have a moment where they stop supporting the thalmor and with the help of the allied holds they could clean the thalmor influence in skyrim.

Hearthfire Release for PC: When and how?
janaseca replied to AmadanBezerk's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Still no release date? :( Come on... are you going to cry for $5? :P Mods are very cool, but the modders are not always available to update their mods or bugfix =/ And sometimes they need to abandon the project for some reason. I still like and very much appreciate official addons and after watching the trailer, imo, it's worth the $5. :) I loved that line from the uesp.net: "Random animals may follow your children home, in which they will ask to keep as a pet. Confirmed animals so far: Skeever, Fox, Mudcrab, Rabbit, Frostbite Spider." haha I bet my kids will want a snowy sabre cat as a pet  . I also bet these cats won't follow my children... unless they are hungry.. -
Oh guys, I forgot to recommend this mod: "PISE - Improved Skyrim Experience" this mod have a lot of AI changes among other things. I didn't play too much yet but I'm I'm enjoying. I can give an example, the Draugr boss in bleak falls barrow was like some kind of frank sinatra overlord, he was shouting a lot and I liked it. he had the power of the voice, no doubt.

ROFL, loved that story. This arrow in the head must cause some mental deficiency. But they could say "ouch", at least. I agree with the OP.

no one working on a mod like this? =P I think you have good chances to be in the top 25, just saying ;) thanks.

I'm really interested :) Mages and alchemists can't live without a mod like this. And sorry I asked this in another post (buff/debuff timer) http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/550149-buffdebuff-timer/page__p__4471555__hl__timer__fromsearch__1#entry4471555

Paarthurnax is the most wise and good soul you can find in Skyrim. I love these lines of Paarthurnax: "The Blades are wise not to trust me. Onikaan ni ov. I would not trust another dovah." "Dov wahlaan fah rel. We were made to dominate. The will to power is in our blood. You feel it in yourself, do you not?" "I can be trusted. I know this. But they do not. Onikaan no ov dovah. It is always wise to mistrust a dovah." "I have overcome my nature only through meditation and long study of the Way of the Voice." : ~~~~ ) I have overcome my nature too bro, after a long session beating Delphine, for asking me such absurd. But she still have three remaining teeth. "No day goes by where I am not tempted to return to my inborn nature. Zin krif horvut se suleyk." "What is better – to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?"" If you follow the delphine's logic you will end up killing yourself, after all you are the dragonborn, you shared the dragon blood, right? Are you a potential threat too? Zero motives to kill Paarthurnax, unless you want to play some kind of evil char. ;) I can't say the same for Delphine :D

Hey guys, CK is out so I just want to give some ideas for you about combat styles. I was playing a Khajiit and trying hand to hand combat. I know there are some mods improving the HTH dmg and combat, but my idea was different. I was thinking about a real Monk, a mage who use robes and your mind to enhance your damage and defence. The most important school should be alteration, we will need to add some spells like "empowered blow" to buff you hand to hand damage by X for Y seconds, we could add criticals to hand-to-hand dmg, skills to guarantee a critical after 3 successive blows, power power attacks to disarm/stagger, etc Anyway the main idea is you to be a melee fighter naked (you can be penalized by using armor, like the way mage armor works) with all your offensive power based on spells (buffing spells or others). The other idea was to make the destruction school more rich, improving the current or giving more short range spells. Could be a armored battle mage like a shaman enhancement in the world of warcraft. We already have cloak spells, we could add temporary elemental dmg buffs to weapons, these elemental weapon buffs should have restrictions to make your physical wepon damage scale with Destruction skill and not 1handed or 2handed skill making the things more balanced. Of course, the physical damage will grow up more slowly, cos you have the elemental damage growing too, to complement. At the end, I think we can have 2 relatively different styles of combat to play. The naked monk doing physical damage with your hands. And the armored (or unarmored) battle mage doing damage with temporarily enchanted weapons (doing both physical and elemental dmg). Anyway guys, sry if these aren't good ideas I'm still high on skooma.

Hey guys! I didn't read all this but I think the point of Bethesda was just making a war without good sides =P And they did it very well. So every side will have good and bad points, you need to choose a point of view and make your decision. In my first playthrough I was neutral, but then I choose based on the who will govern Skyrim, in my opinion both Tullius and Ulfric are stupid and mediocre. Ulfric can have SOME good intentions but his behavior is more like a neo-nazist guy, his actions contradict his ideals. After all, who are the real children of Skyrim? Nords? Dwarfs? Snow elfs, lol? bacterias? maybe the lost race of the pink yetis? I think the children of Skyrim are those who LIVE there today, no matter the race, color or blood ( or tail? :whistling: ). So definitely, Ulfric is discarded as a high king of Skyrim for me. And I'm a fan of Elisif the Fair the Jarl of Solitude, I think she is the best option we can find in Skyrim right now. Will she be manipulated by the Thalmor? I don't know yet, but that IS another problem. We can't solve everything at the same time right? If the thalmor cause some trouble after, we can just deal with them. You have the Power of the Voice, right? Just throw a GO F*** UP on those elffs. So my choice is Elisif!

I killed Delphine instead of him. The good thing now is: everytime I get angry I can get back and kill her again. So she was promoted to my personal punching bag.

That's a very good idea! and I agree with the OP. I like the idea of "not everyone can just get in the college", you should do some work to prove yourself first. I think the recommendation scheme of the oblivion might not be ideal, but I still do prefer that approach to the way it was in Skyrim (just cast something and get in). A good tip for the modders: I think those guys from the Psijic Order are very underused and they are awesome =P. I remember the first time I was questing there, after defeating Ancano and several members of the Psijic Order appear. I was like: "Oh MY GOD! Will I train with THESE AWESOME GUYS NOW? WOW!!!!!! These guys are are truly THE mages!" and then they just say congratulations and good bye. :( Another little flaw is the lack of surprises. The Ancano, for example, it's like he wears a shirt "I'm the bad guy, look at my bad face!" ¬¬ I was expecting more surprises, like the lazy archmage being the real bad guy. But there was some good things too, ofc. Like those puzzles in the dwarven ruins. But overall, could have been better.

@DragonbornP that's a good idea. I would really enjoy just a farming/gardening mod like the ppl said before. But if we add a story and quests, I'm sure that will be really nice. all this could start talking to the librarian Urag gro-Shub in the college, we could ask if he know anything special about herbs. Then he could say "There is a guy X bla bla bla..." This guy X could be a druid like alchemist living isolated in the deep forest, he will give you additional quests and teach you a bit of his ancient knowledge about the balance of life and how to cultivate (plants, bees, etc). Anyway I think I'm abit high on skooma lol ;)

Racial perks don't really fit in the perk system, Main issue with four legged running for Khajiit. is that their legs are longer than the arms, worgens in WOW can run on all fours as the legs are shorter and the torso and arms longer. Hm.. that's an interesting point. Maybe we need some adaptations. Khajiit models are so well done in skyrim. Would be really good to see this done with minor changes, but I guess it's a hard task :(
-
cool! I didn't remember the oblivion had this kind of mod. that's nice.
-
maybe more khajiits and argonians to complement the fauna. these are so rare. :(
-
The idea is simple, just a tool to complement alchemy. :) Now you can buy/find some seeds or younger plants in the world. You can buy some structures to plant, etc. Maybe you can "cultivate" some animals too, like insects (bees, etc). Some plants will grow after 5 days, other rare plants will need 10 days to grow. You will need to give them water and maybe some fertilizer? lol Anyway, this can be just a simple mod or a really big one, as big as your creativity/imagination.
-
I'm glad to see you liked, but the idea was more an aesthetic thing than making them powerful. :D to clarify the Eye of Night: Eye of Night lesser power (FormID 000aa01d): Improved night vision for 60 seconds, multiple times per day. I think this is cool as it is, but adding the passive running speed boost or a big sprint once a day won't hurt anyone ;) We could use something silimar the werewolf style like StuartSmiles said before. Anyway just making they run more like cats instead of humans will be awesome already. I really hope to see a mod like this after the CK is out. :)
-
hm... I got a lot, but the most urgent dream mod is a simple buff/debuff timer in the HUD. The first guy who make a mod like this should get the job of the UI developer who removed this from the game, seriosly. :( :( :( So after the mod is done, prepare your curriculum! ;)
-
Hey guys, don't you think would be amazing to see Khajiits running like leopards? I mean using their four paws... err sorry, with their arms and legs, of course. This could be a racial power to use 1 time per day, Eye of Night is so meh. Or maybe a passive racial to increase the running speed a little. You know, I have a cat in my house and I know what these guys are capable to do. hehehe What you think?

LE Khajiit/Argonian refugee underground
janaseca replied to Spl1nt3rC3ll's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
wow, amazing idea! I didn't read the entire post but I already agree. I just think don't need to be necessarily in the underground. We could have some hidden villages of Khajiit/Argonian in the surface too (skyrim borders maybe). Orcs have their forts for example. I really miss these guys, specially khajiit, there are so few in Skyrim. Khajiit are very talented merchants, quests involving those guys with some kind of illegal property commerce in Skyrim... lol must be a very cool and funny story.. -
After searching more, I found a ton of ppl asking for the same thing. That must be a hard task to do without the CK, sadly.   Could anyone confirm? thanks!

WOW man, I think this is one factor which explains why the game gets SOOOO EASY mid-end. The damage you will receive don't grow with the HUGE mitigation you will get, the bigger health numbers, the bigger health regen... Seriosly guys, my first experience in the game playing as a warrior with a shield was like: 1st -> not using crafting skills yet - the challenge was good - adept diff ok 2nd -> starting to pay attention on smithing, improving some weapons and armor - the challenge is gone so I tried the expert diff and the fun was back - adept diff -> expert diff ok 3rd -> smithing lvl 100 I was like ~lvl43-45, leveled enchanting skill too to get more money from the crafted items. After all this, I tried make some good legendary daedric set (without exploits, I think I was using 3 items with fortify smithing, something like +60-78 smithing) and surprise... I became a God and the challenge was completely gone. I tried the master diff and nothing changed! Fights with dragons were easy before, now these fights become ridiculous. :( I tried to rush the main quest to see the story but I ended up deleting this char. lol I still love the game, but this is sad sad we need to be cautious to not became too powerfull mid-end game. the mitigation shouldn't grow linearly with the armor rating, maybe that is one major cause. And let the modders come to fix/balance the game. I agree.

That's a good question, I would like to hear the answer from a more experienced guy. But imo I think it's possible as we already have these timers hidden in the "active effects" menu. I would love to see those timers implemented in the HUD. :(
