It breaks role-play running around the wilderness in glass/fancy armor while looking for Alchemy ingredients.
First...We need a light Leather Armor base set that a Ranger would upgrade with a few well placed pieces of metal. Like a piece of metal on the shield side shoulder/upper arm. A piece of metal on the top part of the sword/axe glove. An armored leather/chain skirt (like on the Mithril) you know, to protect those vulnerable spots, and maybe a piece of metal on the shins. It can be iron or whatever, but it should look like the Ranger realized that leather wasn't cutting it, and made the armor better/tougher (stats to land around Chain and Mithril).
Second... Two role-playing Apprentice level spells (Bear and light Chameleon) that don't take 200pts in Magic and a enormous grind to cast, because we're a freaking Ranger, and it's not like the Black Bear is some world beating TANK in Oblivion... Looking for a 60 second Bear spell and a low level (like 10 pt) 120 second Chameleon spell, as a Ranger will either need time to escape danger or setup for the perfect ambush (we're not Tanks). Put the armor and spells on a vendor or two and call it a day.
I will commit and say put a solid set on Nexus and I will donate... Thank You in Advance...
