https://imgur.com/a/LuCyA7h what does it show? The main NV esm looks like a reinstall might fix that. I've not seen exceptions from NV esm, and that is a bunch. They were handled up to the crash. I suspect it choked before NVAC could record it. Run NV till it crashes and check for the last line. NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash Page scroll down to istructions how to read the info. It's not a mod. Might crash with them all off too? Out of Memory? I didn't spot that. Is the 4GB patch installed?

Tools to help power through buggy NV Mods

Thanks. Item Browser will allow you to set stage of a stuck quest. Gear lists looks good. Has a few functions that IB does not have. But I B has so much more it can do. Or had (for ones that may want it). Who knows? It may get un-hidden? I think it is a KEY mod. Saves trying to find the set stage info... on the fly in the game. Shame  Edit: I noticed it does say 1.5 BETA. I hope it comes back. -

Tools to help power through buggy NV Mods

What happened to Item Browser ? I was going to recommend it here. With this tool I can now play good mods that I could not play before. It has an easy to find quest in any mod loaded, and set stage through the problem quest. (All from the The Mod Configuration Menu ) Find missing or local NPCs. Or Spawn them. And lots more. Any weapon from any mod. I've noticed a lot of Hidden mods lately. Oh well? -

The Groovatron NV At the top of the tools list. Often in a mod or in the game, an NPC has to get to its trigger point, and get stuck walking into a wall or something, Or stuck in a wall. Ya gotta use TCL just to get to them to move them, unless there's enough of them stickin out to grab. Something else that could be handy; Hot key the Grovetron shoot the target and bring it to you. Quote "I would be a little cautious with MovetoQT, you could miss a trigger of some kind and as a result screw up that quest," I got stuck in some dark island, Killed some dead guy, then couldn't find a way off the island, I used MoveToQT. It got me out, and I finished the mod. 3rd time through. Other times when a marker is wrong... Full save Move to Quest Target. Find out where I am. Restart and load my save. Keeps me from missing triggers, encounters, Clues, etc. One DLC that I hate. I never got out without TGM. never! Off with my head! Guess!!! There's a mod for that. Dead Money - No Collar Explosion and No Poison Cloud Damage Any ways to use these tools (For getting through glitches and buggs) would be great to know. Humm? facial expression, Hey I don't like your looks...! I'm gonna shoot you with my Groovatron -
There are a lot of Mods. A lot of bugs in New Vegas. Crash to desk top, freezes, Frame rate drops, Conflicts... the list goes on. But I keep looking for work a rounds, EZ console commands, Mods that will help you power through the buggy mods. I'm no Al Chestbreach here, But I've been now able to power through some mods that I loaded, that once had me giving up. So I figure that troubleshooting is the place for this post. And if it is good enough a moderator might want to pin this one? First here is some tools (MODS) for starters. New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) This must be installed manually, Read instructions. Most of the rest can be installed via NMM or FOMM And JIP LN NVSE Plugin Both above are Required for many mods to work. FNV 4GB Patcher This one I don't need or use, But it has special install instructions. NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash Zan AutoPurge Crash Protector - New Vegas Edition New Vegas Stutter Remover The Mod Configuration Menu Better Game Performance V5 I recommend all of the above. Now the next ones are called cheats, but I call them tools. The Groovatron NV The Groovatron Fallout 3 Real handy! Pun intended. Have many companions? like 8? then can't get through the hall after going through a door? With this you can grab them and move them behind you. Works with NPCs that get in the way too. Grab Live NPC allows you to use the "grab" key (default: "Z") to grab, position, and move live NPCs Ever in a quest and a companion kills a target, breaks the quest? I've found that sometimes it has to be you that kills them? Or sometimes you can use the ressurrector below. Then kill um. You can also freeze them. "X" - Freeze NPC in place - up to 10 NPCs can be frozen in place Stuck in a cut seen. NVSE users can access Pip-Boy when player character animation is playing (animation is stopped) Can't get to a door? "L" turns on long reach. saves a lot of walking time. Basically if you can see the door, NPC, Locker anything you can reach it, or at least read the Name on the Door, NPC whatever.... Many more goodies too. Al Chestbreach uses it.. So "Groovatron, stop asking me" he says. Pushabilitator - A Balanced Combat Push ModSet this thing on high and shove them into orbit. FalloutNVCheatTerminal ALL DLC Added This has some handy tools. I get stuck in a buggy mod, I open this baby up and navigate to teleport to location, and I'm out and can save my game without having to go way back if I didn't save for a while. There are some other goodies like a storage box, The mod took all my stuff. Or if you see it coming.. Make a quick stash. Be sure to load up the portable terminal at doc Mitchells though. Bigguns Armory Terminal Loops Super Survival Kit Things to stash, god tools for mods that have way over powered NPCs Or for low level kick but right out of docs house. So you don't have do the TGM (Toggle God Mode) console command. I like the speedy hat. The Resurrector OOPS I shouldn't have killed that guy.. I broke the Mod! For those that don't know how to use the Resurrect console command. Pick it up in Docs house on the gerny when you first get up. All Console Codes - In one Holo TapePick it up in Doc Mitchell's kitchen It says all console commands but it is just a few handy ones. Like I can't figure out where to go. There is a map marker that leads to nowhere. console command Movetoqt Move to quest target. has saved my ars more then once. There are some mods that have a terminal that will not show up with the curser dead on it. console command Click on the terminal, the ID will show up. Type Disable Hit Enter The Terminal or player or whatever will usually vanish. DO NOT TURN OFF THE Console!! Type Enable Hit Enter The Terminal or player or whatever will reappear ... Then close the console. Then the terminal, player or whatever will be working. Usually Then you can continue on. OK This is my workaround Tool kit, so to speak. I must give thanks to the Modders and Mod players for keeping New Vegas alive. There are a lot of old abandon mods worth playing, but buggy. That's my 2 cents! Yee Haw NV
