Started working with Blender but the interface was very difficult to get use to as I'm sure a lot would agree with. It does look like 3DS is becoming standard for professionals and modders. I have had the student license which Autodesk was happy to provide which I have to say is amazing seeing as the full version goes for $4,000 USD. I think I'll stick with 3DS because of the simpler interface also because I have some more experience with it than I do Blender. So here is another question to go along with full mesh creation. What modeling technique is the best when it comes to making meshes for games like Skyrim? I've been doing poly modeling in order to keep the poly count down.
