  1. Awesome, thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be installing Feng Shui. As it happens, I already use RTS (waiting for RTS II to get more content), so this will be an easy move for it. The only thing now would be to choose what radio station the radios/whatevers have. I know there are radio station mods, but were I to add my own, I don't know how i'd get a radio that plays it into the world using a copy/paste method. Thanks so far guys!
  2. I would like to see a mod that would, in one way or another, allow you to place radios/jukeboxes within cells of your choosing with your choice of radio station. Be it a simple item and activate script (like the RobCo Bedrolls in FO3) or even a "You press L on fridge, it is now a jukebox!" deal, that would be pretty dang awesome. I did a search around the 'ol Nexus and couldn't find a mod that did this or anything like it. If it already exists, I would appreciate someone pointing out what I missed.
  3. From the little I understand about OBSE, I know having it makes an unbelievable difference, and I don't know how people go without it or the mods it enables. I've never had a problem with it but I'd understand if there's some sort of incompatibility for some people since the differences it makes are so huge. The chargeable spells thing is out and working well. What I like about it is if your character is good at magic, they can be invincible if given headway, but if you're ambushed/silenced, you're in for a hard fight. It also levels magic a lot faster, and I don't know whether or not I like that. An OMOD would be nice, but really since this is one big thing you'd only install once in every while (like OOO), I don't think it would be a deal breaker either way. I would think, though, that it would be a good idea to avoid DLC as a requirement. But you'd definitely want other people's opinions on that one.
  4. I enjoy using the old "press G" bullet time mod. You can slow things down too see the stray arrow pass by, you can watch as your final blow finishes your opponent, or see your spell slide into their face. I would like to ask, though, if there would be a way to alter the pitch/speed of the sounds that play while in bullet time mode. Much like in Fallout 3 when using VATS, where even the shrillest voice is at a deep, lumbering pitch. It would be a welcome touch to the atmosphere of altered time. So, is this possible through any scripting available now? Or would this be an unspeakable horror of giving every sound/song/spoken word in the game a 25% speed partner? Since I haven't seen this done yet, I'd imagine it's not possible.
  5. I admire your ambition, and this can totally be done. All I can really contribute is that I like the chargeable spells mod that came out semi-recently. It gives magic a more living and natural course, as opposed to the cookie-cutter spells that was more like tossing varying potions at people than casting spells. Magic, to me, seems more like a source of power than a shot from a preloaded gun with this mod. I don't know if you already have a vision of what this overhaul will entail, but as you ask us for detail in ideas, give us some back. On the front end, what are some ideas that YOU have, get us started?
  6. You'll have to forgive me for updating my own problem. Originally I didn't want to destroy my load order and spend half a day reorganizing things for a bug I'm sure there was a solution to. But I ended up trying to fix problems I was having with Ren's Guard Overhaul (awesome stuff) and decided not to stop there. Turns out Unnecessary Violence causes the constant hotkey repeat deal, and that's that.
  7. Once again Oblivion shows what an unpredictable beast it can be. The reason the keys were repeating has something to do with the hotkey wheel not showing up when the inventory was closed. When the problem is occuring, if I hold any hotkey down while out of all menus, the wheel will not appear, and the hotkeys just spam as they're held down. I don't know why it stopped, but it certainly seems like something a mod is changing. If anyone knows if any of the mods I listed do this, please do let me know. If someone thinks it's something else, I'll list my load order. It does work now though....sometimes anyway.
  8. Hello there people. I decided to play Oblivion again, and I'm having an issue I remember having, but don't remember how to fix. Any hotkey that "cycles" or "toggles", such as the "equip torch" hotkey featured in OOO repeats far too quickly. If I even daintily tap the hotkey for the torch, it activates twice, basically equipping and then unequipping the torch. I did a nice search for this over google and both help forums here, but couldn't find anything. I'd imagine this is an old and common problem, but I certainly can't find the solution. It would be nice if the hotkeys only detected a button press, instead of constantly being "activated". If anyone knows the cure or can point me to a mod that solves this, I'd be much obliged. EDIT: I suppose it's worth mentioning I'm using DarNified UI , Super Keys, Stealth Overhaul, and OOO (of course). There aren't any other mods that should affect the hotkeys. And the higher my FPS is, the faster it happens, so it's not a speed issue.
