  1.

Have you tried installing a mod manually?

    yeah that doesent work

Have you tried re-ordering your mod order? Also, what mods have you tried to install? Make sure you read the mods Readme or description and make sure you are using the proper updated mod file and the proper version of Skyrim.

  2. For some reason, Skyrim will no longer load up saves of any kind. When I try to load any save, it just crashes as soon as it loads.

I haven't changed anything when it started crashing, so I have no idea what's causing this problem. I did the thing with the Steam Cache, but that didn't help at all.

Do you have any mods installed? Have you tried using BOSS (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6) to reorganize mods in the proper load order, and if in the case you don't have any mods, try using Wrye Bash (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1840/) to check your saves to see if they're corrupt.

This is all i can tell you, if you have ANY mods installed, post them and you load order.

  3. After all that uninstalling, can I go back to my actual saves or do I have to play whole game again?

    (I suppose not)

I would not. After doing all that uninstalling, i tried it with a uninfected save, and it still bloated. However once i started a new game the bloating stopped. (The bloating to new saves i mean)

  4. This might be a silly question, but I've never checked my save files until now. Is 11mb save files "bloated"?

Depends on what your level is, usually at say level 49, it would be at 10MB, but 11MB is not out of the normal as long as it does not go above 25-30, you should be fine.

  5. I have same problem as you. Activated Dawnguard and then I saved game multiple times at the same place. After that I look at the size of save game files. From 8MB to 32MB in 10 saves.

I think i may have found the solution, Uninstall all mods NMM mods as well, uninstall Skyrim, delete Skyrim folder and Skyrim folder in My Games, reinstall Skyrim, reinstall mods, reinstall Dawnguard, create a new game. This (so far) has worked for me, i will repost if the new save gets bloated.

  6. Ok did a double check and get the same problem.

I am a vampire lord, but no one sees me as one. I walked into Dawngaurd and no one said I was a vamp or attacked me. Though in the sun I felt the effects of being a vamp. On the positive I could see this a having my cake and eating it to, though not sure how.

I will make a Vanilla char tomorrow and test to see if I get the same problem. That is if no one else gets this issue.

This bug (May or may not be a bug due to the lack of scripting for the vampire lord) has already been posted here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/746342-no-vampires-like-me/ I'd pay attention to this thread just in-case a fix comes up.

  7. I had the same 3rd person issue as you, and the only way to fix it was to roll back to a older save. (I lost about 8 quest completions)

I also have an issue with Dawnguard, I can't leave the Sleeping Giant Inn. If I do, I CTD. I have a mod that allows me to fast travel from indoors, and if I try to fast travel to another city, it just puts me back into Sleeping Giant Inn.

Try using "coc whiterun" in the console commands. (~) Without the " of course.

Nope. I heard the music change to town music for about a second while in the loading screen, then it changed back to tavern music, and I ended up back in the Sleeping Giant Inn. If I disable Dawnguard.esm in the MM, it allows me to leave.

I know you may have already checked, but are there any mods that are out of date, or may cause a bug like this? Have you tried to disable all of your mods accept Skyrim.esm Update.esm and Dawngaurd.esm? Have you also tried to disable Dawnguard, go outside of the Inn and re-enable Dawngaurd?

  8. Hello everyone! After researching more into my CTD problem

I have come to the conclusion that it is in fact Dawnguard that is causing the bloating.

After removing the Dawnguard file from my data folder, i tried to load up my test save (A clean save that has no mods(Note i have been using this clean save to test and see if uninstalling certain mods would help the bloating)) and my bloating has been reduced! However, it is still present, which i think is caused by the update 1.7

What do you guys think? Are anyone elses save files bloated?

(Note: I am still looking for a fix to this problem, so far i have found nothing)

  9. I had the same 3rd person issue as you, and the only way to fix it was to roll back to a older save. (I lost about 8 quest completions)

As for Dawnguard being buggy, after installing it, my saves are getting bloated and have gone up to 50MB and CTD everytime i load the save with 50MB. (See my topic about this here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/747329-dawnguard-causes-saves-to-bloat/]

  10. reinstall sounds of skyrim - civilization. removing that mod BREAKS YOUR GAME for good...

Doesn't SoS cause bloating and freezing? I don't see how re installing it would help. Besides, SoS has been taken down from both the Nexus and Steam, there is no way to re-download it. Unless there is another place to get it, i would be willing to test if re installing it would fix this problem however.

  11. There is no one fix that cures all.

Here is a link to my troubleshooting blog. .

    http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4751769/1/#new

If you use any of this and have some success - or even if nothing works - please post back here what you did that worked or didn't work. That kind of information can be invaluable to other members having the same or similar problems - And to me in fixing any problems in the blog.

These weird crashes have nothing to do with mods (Oddly) but i suspect that they have something to do with the file size of the save game, i found this out while reading a topic about large save game files and bloating, i then looked at my save games, and surely enough they are about 50MB.

After digging to find some old saves, the CTD problem has stopped, however my save files are now growing to 50MB again and are causing me to CTD. My problem now is finding the reason why my save games are getting so big. I have disabled all my mods, but the problem still persists. Thank you for responding, i have seen your website on installing mods properly and have used it for awhile now.

  12. Hello Nexus!

Well, let me start off by saying that i've seen a lot of topics like the one i am about the post, and all of them do not have answers to the orginal question, or the author did not post the fix once he found it. This CTD problem i am having is making me tare my hair out, so if you can help me, it would be much obliged.
