I'm trying to activate some mods that were disabled after the last patch of the game. F4SE is updated, the game works but when I try to activate some mod with Vortex (enabling it) strangely that enabling involves permanent changes in the folder game in documents. What happens is that the game doesn't start (immediate CTD of the launcher) and even disabling the mod via Vortex doesn't solve the problem, everything has changed in that folder and you need to recreate the files via Steam to make the game work again.

Need help with F04edit data path
WastelandProject replied to marineboy22's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
One Drive is NOT a save destination. One Drives COPIES files from a location to save them in a cloud. By default it automatically copies anything in the default user folder, documents, saved games, pictures, etc. In other words it doesn't control anything, it is just copying files, It was just an aggressive but poorly executed cloud save program. Unistalled after copying (literally copy and paste) the saves in the F4 game folder into documents. Never had any more problems since then. fallout 4 saves OneDrive :: Fallout 4 Discussioni generali (steamcommunity.com) -
The solution is to temporarily disable the suspected mods (almost all certainly related to weapons), reactivating them one at a time and reloading a save before the "disturbance".

Crash after about 30-40 minutes! Included load order!
WastelandProject replied to Rcmo's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Have you updated the game with all those mods? how did you do with F4SE? If you haven't updated the Buffout 4 game it works.. Temporarily downgraded to pre-patch to make Buffout 4 work.. or delete all the .ini files inside the Fallout 4 folder (except the Saves folder obviously) and recreate them via Steam perhaps adding the strings for the loose files if necessary. Then try playing the vanilla game again for over half an hour. ----> I would also check the temperatures and fans in this heat, in game I would try to activate the fans at maximum speed and monitor the temperatures, the problem could resolve itself in this case. -

The photos are not easily readable. I would start by disabling (not uninstalling) those that Vortex reports in yellow, disable and recall an old save or even a new game (better) just as a test. One mod at a time. Or remember if a new mod has been added since the CTD.. -
I uploaded a .json file from my profile about 9 hours ago, saved everything but it didn't show up. I tried reloading it but it says the name is already in the database.

More Vault Rooms mod?
WastelandProject replied to WastelandProject's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I have never been able to contact him, for 4 years my blueprint files have been using his mod, I have earned him almost two thousand downloads, with this account and another 1500-2000 with another closed account, he has never replied to anything, I also doubt that exists, even today I wrote to him on the twitter account, no answer: "@sirbalinmodsJesus Christ, thank goodness I found you, we hope you answer: my mod blueprint is blocked without your files, can I download them with a google drive link from page of blueprint file?" :D -
More Vault Rooms mod?
WastelandProject replied to WastelandProject's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Thanks Now I have a blueprint file published on the site, used this mod: can I post these files on the page, so users could use the blueprints file? No. Not without permission. And considering it was deleted on purpose here, I would expect that permission won't be forthcoming. I have two blueprints files with that mod, I have already prepared all the links for the users! Who should I contact: Nexus or Sirbalin? I predicted this would happen, that's why I built and published a Vault 88 vanilla , anyway if Nexus or the mod author they will forbid, I'll take them out and freeze the files blueprint to users. -

Sorry for the delay but I miss the discussions in which I participate: I would try to suggest a solution I do not say extreme but much more demanding, considering that your hardware is ok with the game to switch to mods: how many mods have you installed? put your hand to your mod manager of trust and start "DEACTIVATE" note "DO NOT UNINSTALL" but deactivate them one by one, including HD package if installed, by trying the laser gatling, not before making a game save. Before this above if you play with Steam try to delete the .ini files from the documents folder and do a validation of the game files from Steam, usually different values in the various .ini files create problems, there is another one in the game folder, that also affects.

For RTX 2070 it is necessary disabling weapon debris, caused problems with the 20 series. The game is particularly demanding for the processors, this is really a limitation perhaps due to a bad transposition from the console version or to an engine limitation. I remember that even in Fallout 3 the laser gatling often caused sudden freezes. Question: processor is overclocked? Ryzen heat up a lot, even worse with o.c., but crashes are still the limit of the game engine. During game the fans should turn to the maximum (or in turbo mode), in case of o.c. try lowering the processor frequency.

The first hypothesis was Steam Cloud to be disabled, then there is another: the game does not load unmodded saves because mod installation would change setting .ini file (probably video setting). In a timeline the loading of "vanilla" saves does not happen because the .ini file is "corrupted" in some line by installation of the following mods. The game reads .ini file with mod and not "vanilla". Try returning the setting vanilla configuration: make a backup of .ini file in documents and in Fallout 4 game folder, then the verifying of integrity game files from Steam will restore the vanilla .ini files.

savegame load ctd PLEASE HELP!
WastelandProject replied to TheMetroidThumper's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Make sure you have the latest versions of F4SE. -Deactivate all mods individually (do not uninstall them please) -reinstall them one at a time trying to play. -----------If the game does not start without any mods,-------- -verify the integrity of the game files from steam -and remember these changes from the Fallout4.ini file in documents folder: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation -

Each command must be executed individually. Seven individual .bat files and one command for each to run them from the console. -
Migration from NMM for about a year: Skyrim SE, FNV, F4, Morrowind. Vortex works excellently as far as I'm concerned, even the functions are easy to understand, conflicts between mods are easily solved, never any crashes. On the order of loading I do not express myself, I read on the forums loading orders with over a hundred mod, maybe it is a topic that could interest those users, personally I never install more than 10-15 mods and Vortex works great.
