  1. I agree on the hardcore mode, would add another depth of realism to the game and I liked it a lot in New Vegas. This is likely going to require the CK though, and / or some really clever scripting to pull off. I think they made a mod for in in Oblivion though I can't remember, and if so it will likely pop up here sooner or later its just a matter of time.
  2. Until the CK is released I doubt this will be possible, I did find a mod that supposedly made all NPCs non-essential. But it was just a simple bat file which did the setessential command on all the npcs with that flag on them. My guess is that either the command is broken, or some npcs are made immune to it through scripting. I do agree however they made far far too many NPCs invincible. Did a lot of people have problems with the Morrowind system, where the game told you if you killed a storyline NPC? I personally loved that system where no one was beyond reproach.
  3. You know what I don't understand is how you can even complain about some of these things. I mean the way people talk, it's like your saying Bethesda is forcing you to utilize those professions to build your character, which is totally untrue. If you want more challenge, how about ignoring them entirely? Or how about limiting YOURSELF to not buying those crafting components and only utilizing what you find from ores / npcs? There are tons of games out there where people have done similar things, the final fantasy low level challenges, or single character challenges... blah blah the list goes on. Anyway I've been doing this myself personally not buying ingots for example from the vendors to level up black smithing, so there is no reason anyone else couldn't. Don't complain about something that's optional, it's silly. Set the game on master difficulty and only use items you find from mobs or out in the world, don't upgrade your items, don't use enchanting or limit yourself to only using items you find. I can guarantee you'll be challenged, and if dieing in two hits from a bandit isn't good enough for you. Then ask for a difficulty overhaul lol.
  4. Dual wielding is quite powerful, so I'd hardly call it "garbage". I'd say it's the highest front end DPS by far as long as your actually landing your blows. You can pretty much kill anything with two power attacks very easily, most of the time just one. This far outclasses two-handed weapons, and destruction magic. I do agree however, that they should have implemented two sheaths. It seems very lazy to half hardheartedly implement it like that. Though when you consider though how they added dual-wielding to Oblivion even despite the fact it wasn't designed for it, adding a second sheath and the appropriate animation will be trivial, in comparison, once the construction set is released and someone who knows what they are doing gets motivated. :)
  5. Anyone out there able to fix these issues? http://www.skyrimnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=8969
