Well to be honest you can't even consider them old gods, while some Nords have adopted the Imperial pantheon to say that all Nords have forgotten the Nordic pantheon is silly. I'd say that the further North you went in Skyrim the less Imperial influence we should see in other words more Nords would stick to their previous cultural and religious practices. As for Kyne amd Kynareth they are distinctly different gods even though they share some similarities. Kynareth is the imperial sky goddess, she represents nature, and is associated with rain and wind. Kyne on the other hand is the warrior wife of Shor and as such a favorite goddess for Nordic warriors. She is the goddess of the hunt and storms, and most importantly she is the mother of all Nords having breathed them to life at the throat of the world. Nords who still support the "old ways" see Kynareth as shadow of what Kyne really is. This is why I would like a set of shrine for the Nordic gods. Talos is the most accepted gods by the Nords because Talos is seen as the hero god of mankind but also the god that took Shor's empty throne. Hell I could go on and describe all the Nordic gods and their differences from their Imperial counterparts that would make an absolutely massive post.
