  1. I have a question about master files; I finally got all the mods installed and everything is good. Then I run LOOT and it tells me the Dragonborn.esm is invalid and I'm like WTH, how can it be invalid when it was installed straight from Steam. Now is there anything else I can do without using "Verify integrity of game files" because I just went thru setting up Skyrim SE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2.

Try opening the console when your crosshair is on one of the NPCs affected, and type "disable", then "enable" - this might allow a reset. Look up the console command 'resetinventory' to see if it also might do what you need. Another possibility is to use the 'resurrect 1' option, which MAY force a reset. BTW, save your game before you try any of these, and if the results are not what you want, re-load and try again.

These are all guesses, maybe someone with more knowledge will come along. Usually, uninstalling mods that alter equipment mid-game will cause some problems, as a lot of information about NPCs and quests are 'baked', or stored, in the save files, even more so with SKSE mods installed.

I give it a shot, thank you.

I tried all the methods mentioned and none of them worked for me so I figured starting a new game might help and deleting all my saves. Well at least I tried.

  4. I would wait half a year if you have a big collection of mods. Personally, I'm running Skyrim 1.6.353 (seems to be the best version right now for overall mod compatibility for AE).

I'm updated to 1.6.353, deleted all CC content and using USSEP 1.5.97. kek

Wait for the final version of AE to happen and give all mod authors time to update their mods to the final version otherwise you'll just have to update everything all over again at some point.

4 free CC content added to the base game with AE:

Saints & Seducers: A large mod that rivals a full expansion pack, with multiple quests, armor sets, weapons, and enemies. <- lame except new crossbows

Rare Curios: Khajiit caravans get a lot more attractive, with useful items and ingredients imported from around Tamriel. <- boring

Survival Mode: Turn Skyim into a survival-crafting adventure as you stay warm and cook meals to stave off exhaustion and hunger. <- boring

Fishing: adds over 20 aquatic creatures to catch and cook, display, or drop into an aquarium. <- boring

I guess I'll wait on AE, mostly on the problems it is creating for modders and people's load orders. I am beginning to see no real benefit to upgrading right now so I'll hold out a little longer.

  5. I would like to know if people are satisfied with it and the mods available make the experience more enjoyable, I'd like to see the explanations of why one should use it. My reason is I use iNeed and looking for an alternative and no I don't want Sunhelm, way too many patches for it to work with my load order. I should mention, I'm still using 1.5.97 and have not upgraded.

  6. Which version of SE are you on?

If you're up to date with 1.6.640, then the only difference would be the CC content in the upgrade pack. Which depends on whether or not that content is of interest to you.

I am currently on 1.5.97. and went thru the blocking AE method when it was first introduced, so basically I've never updated and have remained offline with steam ever since.

  7. If you are getting "error: Cannot read proprties of undefined (reading 'rules') after update to 1.5.8:

    1. Deactive automatic Updates in your Vortex (Settings->Vortex->Updates->No automatic updates)

    2. Go to here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files and download Version 1.5.7 (normal version or "custom install location" version, depending on where you installed your vortex).

    3. Install Vortex, it auto-rolls back to Version 1.5.7.

    4. Problem should be solved.

This method seems to work. I was able to deploy and start game...might work for you.

  8.

Can you elaborate? It fixed the problem for me and rolling back to a stable version is standard practice as far as I am aware.
Since you asked earlier, there is (at this moment) 703 reported cases of the issue on github in the last 4 hours (https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/issues/11576).

I used the same method and I can play and deploy mods again...not sure what they were trying to do; more reports are flooding in every hour.

  9. What I would like to know is, my character play through is a vampire build and I would like to know how I can get iNeed mod to use blood potions as food, I've gone through trying to categorizing blood as drink and it does not use animation even thou it's checked. I've tried everything so I don't have to go into menu to feed/drink every time...or is there another mod similar to iNeed that will make it possible to feed/drink without going into menu. Am I missing something?

  10. I tried the same method as XBox and I got an error about removing external assets and needing to create an archive, the thing is my mod only uses vanilla assets and no third party assets...tried to create an archive but had no idea as to what directory path to use for file, I hope this can relate to other modders who may have experienced this in the past or how I can go about it differently. I'll keep plugging away at it also I've yet to find a video about how to do this on YouTube or even where to begin, again thanks for the response.

  11. What I am looking for are enemy mods that are not scripted heavy and have a variety of NPC's; these are some of the mods I've tried already or still in my load order: Heritage Enemies 2, Populated Skyrim Reborn and Hell's Edition,*MINPCs, Increased Enemy Spawns SSE, all Genesis mods, *OBIS SE, *Better Vampire NPC's, *High Leveled Enemies, More Dangerous Enemies 3.2, *Sands Of Time, Mihail Monsters and Animals and *Draugr Upgrades and Improvement. ( * ) are still in my load order. I believe there are still enemy mods out there that might do two or three of these mods I have mentioned in one mod. Thanks in advance.

  12. Ah, I see...okay, thank you for giving me some insight, I will put it on hold for now as I learn more about modding and the capabilities of the Creation Kit. As you can probably tell, I'm fairly new to the modding community and my direction is the vanilla assets route. Again thanks for the info.

  13. What I am looking for is a video that will show me "How to create an Auto-sorting Mod" so I can put it in my own mod. I've looked thru YouTube, TBH I'm exactly not sure what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance. I should clarify this; I want to add auto-sorting to my mod.
