So, I have Skyrim Special Edition through steam. A while back I downloaded the Skyrim Script Extender through the steam client and the files went to my Skyrim folder, not my Skyrim Special Edition folder. I never used SKSE because I didn't have any mods that required it. Now I do, and I tried to launch SKSE through steam and it kept re-directing me to the Skyrim page (NOT Skyrim Special Edition). It says SKSE is in my library, but again, It wont launch from there. I tried moving the SKSE files to my Skyrim Special Edition folder and again, it wont launch from there. I assume I must be missing a file somewhere but unfortunately I haven't found any way to RE-download SKSE and google has not helped me. The files i moved from my skyrim folder to my skyrim special edition folder are: skse_1_9_32.dll, skse_loader, skse_steam_boot, skse_steam_loader.dll. Also, I downloaded a launcher mod for SKSE here on Nexus and it launched the game but I got a popup from SKY UI that said SKSE was NOT installed- if that helps. Any assistance in either finding a way to re-install SKSE or which- if any files- i'm missing would be much appreciated!

I dont think I have any other mods with a plugin. That list is everything I have. Also, I re-loaded my order on Loot but it only moved the KS Hairstyles up one slot, right above alternate start. I'm very new to mods, i've only been playing the PC version of Skyrim for about a month. I really appreciate you trying to help me out! I'm sure I will figure this out eventually.

I've tested this twice now. At first I thought it was a problem with my mods but now i'm not so sure. The first time this happened, I played through The Companions quest and after completing it and leaving Ysgramor I couldn't fast travel anywhere but Riverwood without a CTD. I ended up just loading an earlier save that happened to be before eliminating the silver hands. I played through again and finished, and when I tried to exit the Ysgramor temple this time I CTD right away! I've tried it a few times and I cant leave the temple at all without CTD. I suppose I can just not complete the quest and move on but if there is a fix I'd love to know it. Edit: I loaded a save from right after I entered Ysgramor temple and tried to turn around and leave and CTD'd. Loaded a previous save again and everything was fine.
