well, that didn't change anything. anyway, the fallout wiki says they can cause major lags, so thanks anyway, i'll leave them disabled.

i didn't know they cause problems. iirc i have those because i pre-ordered the game. i'll try switching them off, but i had them from the start, and the hacking bug only appeared recently..

since then i tried turning off all of my mods. didn't help though. unfortunately, only about half of them were installed through the package manager, so some of them might have loose files around. if i come to a solution, i'll definitely post it here, but until then, does anyone have any idea of what's going on?

okay, i'm also having this issue. i'm guessing it might be caused by a mod i installed a long time ago. i use boss auto sort, and my game is (afaik) legit. i remember installing the 'terminals use hud color nv' mod (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37722) and uninstalling it after some time, but it's only two xml files in data/menus, so that shouldn't be the problem. tried starting a new game, it didn't help. i've also tried disabling 'the weapon mod menu' and 'the mod configuration menu', since those have something to do with xml files, but that didn't solve it either. soo, is there a workaround for this? if not, please just point me in the right direction. i don't really want to reinstall my entire game just because of this.. here's my load order: oh, one more thing: help me or don't, but please don't start telling me i'm a complete idiot for not doing a compelte reinstall or that i have too many mods. i've never had a serious conflict before, simply because i actually read the readmes and pay attention to what i'm doing.
