Quick Question about the Mage Adapt Robe
LadyDeadlock replied to LadyDeadlock's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Omg, thank you. That was it! Kudos friend, for such a timely response. :) -
Hey Dragon Age buddies. It's been quite a while since i dusted off my game and started playing again. I have a quick question I can't seem to find an answer to via google or nexus, and would really appreciate some help. There's a really nice robe (no clue which mod it was from) called Mage (or perhaps Elven) Adapt Robe that i'm trying to find the console command for since it's the only way to get it into the game. Does anyone have any idea what mod this came in? Here's an image of it. I have it in an older save, but would like to use it in the game i just started. Many thanks. You guys always amaze me with how helpful you are. Kudos to anyone who can offer insight as to the console command, or at least the mod in came from. Thanks guys! ~LadyDeadlock EDIT: Added bit of info. I went into this save file and deleted everything but the robe. Then opened it in daosavegame editor. The id of the robe is rob_daad, but i can't seem to get it via console, though i've tried many options. Totally at a loss here. Thanks a ton to anyone who can help.

Face Exporting/Importing
LadyDeadlock replied to WesternFish's topic in Dragon Age: Inquisition's Discussion
Completely agree you with you.... \that would have been ideal for full transfers. Guess you'd still need something like the emporium for changes to that new character, unless you like to run marathons of the same character over and over and over... ;) Still, i'm so baffled with so many complaints rudubg Origin and bioware have sat on the back-side's for so long on this particular issue. \makes me wonder if it's going to come out as a $299.99999999 Super-special-deluxe DLC. Time will tell, but hopefully mods will prevail! Long live the queens and kings who spank themselves silly to get us our mods fix! :D- 4 replies

I've seen a lot of posts and files like this, but I've never seen a recommendation as to whether or not one should revert to a pre-patched save? Is it okay to run your most up to date saves, or is it important to go back to a prior save? I keep a lot of saves in case of needing to revert for some reason, so for me, if important, if would be a possibility. Any suggestions on this?

Gargorias, what is your hardware setup, just out of curiosity? What graphics card do you have? And windows version x86 or x64? My info is below. Totally same issue here. My game was running beautifully. I was always amazed about how many people were having crashing issues. My game crashed once in a great while, but I could play for hours without a hitch. Actually more than once, when I would reload, there would be a fox in the area, so I thought foxes might be a problem somehow, though it just may have been coincidental. Now, my game can't go five minutes without crashing. I reset all the inis and made no changes. set my settings on low through the launcher just to see if that had anything to do with it. Still crashes. There are two areas (so far, since I haven't been able to play much due to the crashing... it's just too frustrating) that always crash on me. Fort Greenwall and going into Riften right before the stables where the wooden towers are. It often seems that structures where characters are crash it quicker, but even in the woods, it eventually (within a couple moments) crashes. To see if that was a problem from my save, I reverted WAY back to an earlier save where I knew I had no trouble in those areas, and it still crashed. I tried uninstalling the whole game and restoring from an older backup I made on Steam, but, even if you check "do not update this game automatically" it sneakily updates it anyway. Tried uninstalling again and reinstalling, trying to block the update once it started with Norton "Block all traffic", but it must have downloaded it ahead of time, because it still updated. I removed all mods (only had a couple, no texture mods), still crashes. I can't even play the game. It's virtually unplayable now. I'm at a total loss. I've tried elevated CMD IncreaseUserVa 3072, no difference. I've tried everything I could think of and nothing has made any difference. For info if anyone's interested in giving suggestions: (All have the latest updates, BIOS, Intel, Windows, Catalyst Drivers and HTO sound drivers.) Windows 7 32-bit 4gbs of RAM but with 32-bit, the 4gb didn't help) ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 (latest 12/13/11 drivers) P5E Core Duo Quad Q9550 HTO Striker 7.1 Sound Card (though I also tried my onboard sound card at 24hz as has been suggested for previous versions, still crashed.)

I understand there is no official toolkit, but I'm seeing tons of mods out there that all these crazy geniuses are making for us! I was wanting to tweak the appearances of some of the marriageable NPCs, but I am thinking it's probably not possible without the toolset... Is this correct? Thanks very much for any advice on the subject!

Morrigan Kiss Scene Replaced with Leliana's?
LadyDeadlock replied to LadyDeadlock's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Ya know, I never seem to have any luck getting answers here lately..... Is it that no one knows, or just that no one cares to share the love? It was hugely wishful thinking that someone would actually *do* it, so I take that back knowing that it just isn't going to happen.... Will some nice person just take a moment to enlighten me a little on how to go about it? This sort of thing is not explained in any of the tutorials I've found around the net. I will be most appreciative and will give kudos to whomever takes a minute or two or their time to lend a hand. Thanks. -
Does anyone know how I might go about changing the Morrigan kiss with Leliana's cut scene? I like it better with eyes closed. :) It definitely suits Morrigan to have eyes open, but once she's in the "love" status, it'd be cool to have her kiss be a little more romantic, hehe. I'd think it should be simple, but I have no experience with this sort of thing at all. Can anyone offer any advice, or even go about doing that small thing? Thanks!

Thank you very much, that makes complete sense. I'm not sure why the Face Replacer wouldn't allow you to extract the mrh file as well. So, just to be clear, one last time, is there any way to actually grab the mrh file and edit the morph from within the toolset? I'm going to use that method, most assuredly. I'm just curious now as to whether or not it's even possible, or if it's just too complex for the common person (ie,myself) to mess with at this stage of learning... I've given you kudos for being so helpful. :) You deserve 10, but alas, I can only give one at a time. PS: Also, where is the setting for eye color within the save file? Is that all included in the "Morph" value?

Thanks so much for the reply! It is actually a face of my own creation from my saved game and I exported it with the Face Replacer program. It only seems to allow export of .mor files, though. So, if you wanted to go about editing your own character from a saved game in the toolset, how would you go about it? I figured using something like Face Replacer would make it easy since it allows exporting into .mor, but it seems that format isn't quite what I need to edit the morph from within the toolset. I've tried opening my save (.das) in the toolset but I see no way of getting to my face file from that either. How would you go about editing your own character's face from a saved game? Is there even a way to do this? Thank you again, for your help.

I've been striking out getting help here lately, so I'm really hoping that someone will be kind enough to lend some advice this time around. I am a bit confused as to why I can't view a .mor file in the Object Inspector. I have no issues with .mrh, but the .mor files only show text (ie: string, etc). What I'm trying to work with is an .mor file that I exported from a save with the DA Face Replacer program. I know I'm missing something small, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. Since the Face Replacer only exports the .mor and not the .mrh, I'm guessing it must be possible to use it to edit the file within the toolset, but again, nothing shows up in the object inspector. All the information I've found assumes that you have the .mrh file as well, but the Face Replacer doesn't export as mrh. What is it that I'm missing about these files? How can I view .mor files with the toolset the way I can with .mrh files? I would be most appreciative for any help. There's no better place to get information than this forum, but I've been striking out on any of the threads and/or questions I've had. I'd really like to figure this out and would be extremely grateful to anyone who could look past my newbness at modding this particular game. It's completely foreign to me thus far. Thanks ahead of time.

Remove Shader Effects?
LadyDeadlock replied to LadyDeadlock's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Thank you so much! That worked perfectly for the Origins effects. Not so for the newer ones from Awakenings, I don't think, but it is amazing and gets rid of the effects I use most often. Many thanks, once again!
