  1. There is a wonderful community of modders on Discord. (Down By The River) These folks have helped me learn more about how mods work, not to make them myself, but to help troubleshoot them. I am sure someone there can help you. https://discord.gg/MXrtK99B In addition to the multitude of talented modders there, there is also a catalog of tutorials.
  2. First, try to reorganize the load order using the attached guide. You may also want to make sure that all mods listed have been updated to Patch 7. After doing that, if you need more assistance, please DM me & I would be glad to help. Proposed General Load Order.docx
  3. @ThancredLux There is already a mod that does this. Half-Tiefs (Tiefling Horns and Tail for All) https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/2538
  4. The messages below the "Launch Game With Custom Arguments" may be different that what is shown, but all of these errors lead to the same thing, you can't play through Steam & it leads you back to the main screen. This fix was found on Reddit for Fallout 4, but I can confirm that it worked for me on BG3. Link to original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/1cdmv26/getting_error_launch_game_with_custom_arguments/ How to fix it: Go to your Bin folder located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin Find the BG3.exe & BG3_DX11.exe files Right Click & go to properties Go to the compatibility tab Uncheck "Run as Administrator" Click Apply then Ok
  5. Even if you have uninstalled & reinstalled the game, sometimes left over mod files remain. I would advise to follow this tutorial to the letter for going back to vanilla. https://wiki.bg3.community/Tutorials/Mod-Use/How-to-remove-mods After that you "can" use the in game mod manager, however it is not recommended (neither is vortex, honestly). I would get the latest version of Laughing Leader's BG3MM, located here: https://github.com/LaughingLeader/BG3ModManager?tab=readme-ov-file If there is a mod on the new in game manager that you want & it is not on nexus, do not "subscribe" to it, instead go to this website & download it & install with the mod manager that you downloaded above. https://baldursgate3.game/mods#/ After you vanilla the game, before you reinstall your mods, run the game once & create a test character. After that, install script extender & run again to allow script extender to update to the latest version: https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se You are now good to install all of your mods, granted that they have been updated to the latest patch. It is always a food idea to track the mods that you download, so that you are alerted in the event of an update. Also, when you save & export your load order in BG3MM, save the load order to a text file as well. (see attachment) How to save & import load order.txt Proposed General Load Order.docx
  6. Attached is your new load order & a copy of a load order tutorial for future reference. daemonbloodrose New load order.txt Proposed General Load Order.docx
  7. I will post your new load order in a few. I need to work on it first. As for slow load times & lag, are you running on hotfix 27? If so, this helped me a great deal. I had 30 minute load times & am now down to under 2 minutes. Before downloading this, make sure to back up your BG3.exe & BG3_DX11.exe files first. The downloaded files will go here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin https://easyupload.io/yefjlm
  8. You're welcome. I am glad that you were able to get it working.
  9. As for your naked character, I am not sure what is causing that. I don't think that it is a texture issue because that would affect your actual character & not the clothes. It may be a conflict with one of the mods or maybe an outdated one.
  10. Oh, if you have the .pak version of the shaders, then yes, they would go into the mod folder in the documents area. My apologies, I forgot that there was a Pak version of that now. I usually use the loose versions which go into the data files.
  11. @LognaVino From the screen shots, it looks like you use laughing leaders BG3 mod manager & not vortex, correct? If so, then these 2 mods need to be moved to the folder located here & not the mods folder in the documents area. <attribute id="Folder" type="LSString" value="Player and NPC - Old Shaders (Textures)" /> <attribute id="Folder" type="LSString" value="Companions - Old Shaders (Textures)" /> C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data Only the shader portion needs to go there, the .Pak file can remain in the mods folder in documents. I also see lots of issues with the load order. I have included 2 tutorials & a copy of my load order for comparision. (Please don't judge me for the NSFW stuff. LOL.) I am placing this here in case anyone else has these issues, but since you DM'd me, I will also send it to you directly. modsettings.lsx Proposed General Load Order.docx How to save & import load order.txt
  12. Update: The top portion of this post is for Steam Users, the bottom part has information for GOG users (for the .Bat file from Norbyte's site) or both Steam & GOG users for the mod from reyqune listed here on Nexus. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/13071 Are you tired of 30 minute load times? So was I. A major thank you to Norbyte for coming up with the hex codes & to SkebbZ on githhub for the work around. Thanks to himillsy from https://discord.gg/MXrtK99B & Parth37955 from https://discord.gg/SZjn3c39 for helping me find the link. Make sure to make back ups of the BG3.exe & BG3_DX11.exe before downloading this. Place the files in your bin folder located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\bin https://easyupload.io/yefjlm Original post on gitbub: https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/issues/458#issuecomment-2397616647 ======================================================================================================================================================== Update: For those that do not want to download edited .Exe files, reyqune has also created a mod for both Steam & Gog users. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/13071 The original .Bat file from Github can be found here: https://pastecode.io/s/3ng63ta6 // https://github.com/Norbyte/bg3se/issues/458 Thanks to ADPhoenix (for the code)& J0-o (for creating the bat file)
  13. Good luck. If I can be of further help, just DM me.
  14. Have you tried verifying your files in steam? Also, make sure that BG3MM & Script Extender are up to date.
