  1. Could please someone make a small scenery map from NCR Bazaar using Sandcrete Architecture kit? It doesn't need to be the entire city, just enough background for a screenshot.
  2. I'd like to request a small mod, but first i want to tell a short story. One summer evening, in TwoKayTens, somewhere in US, a very average Joe decided that he needs to buy some smokes/stuff from 24/7. After he wrote a short shopping list, he grabbed his wallet, keys and smartphone and went on the dimly lit street. A thunder rumbled somewhere in the far, making Joe frowning about the perspective of coming rain. Deciding that he might need to haste, Joe slammed the door of his car shut and after few unsuccessful, but spiteful attempts to start the car, his desire for nicotine/Doritos forced him finally to take the pedestrian route. Long, and very eventful story short, which included some robbers, SMG hobo, angry police officer left by his wife, athmospherical anomaly called fireball, a truck full of fireworks, some insane luck, a lot of fear, hungry cat, bad karma, stupid mistake and a banana peel, Joe received a head injury rendering him unconscious. And this is where the prestory ends and mod starts. Joe awakens with blurry vision in a house of Doc "Painless" Johnson and after a few very awkward moments he realises that he stumbled in Fallout-verse. The Doc saved up his inventory: 1. Keys. Wouldn't fit in any keyhole in this universe, but might serve as improvised spike knuckles. Or maybe not. 2. Smartphone. Looks pretty dead, it could be used as thrown weapon, breaking it, but creating a high-critical, very balanced throwing projectile. With recharging option for science-oriented guys. 3. Clothing: a bit thorn and unrecognisable, but still practical for a while. (Merc Grunt Outfit? Jeans? Cap? Something unique?) 4. Wallet: you don't even know if all its content is worth anything. Your fancy ID would help recognise your dead corpse, though. 5. Shopping list: A Post-it with Smokes and Doritos on it, underlined prominently. From there, Joe/Jane is yourself. You can use up your knowledge about New Vegas or roleplay a poor person from Universe where Fallout franchise doesn't exist. Why poor? The answer is obvious, a world without Fallout is a miserable place to be. So if you would consider my request, i would be very grateful.

  4. I love these ideas, especially the brahmin cowboy and stimpak ones. It would be also cool to see mining sites, where you can mine ore and ocassional meet some crazy raiders to kill. Towns or fortresses, which you can defend with some friendly NPCs for rewards from town's mayor. Marketplaces, where you have to watch out for thieves trying to borrow items from your inventory. Sick NPCs, (like those in Camp Forlorn Hope and Decrucifixion Mod) which need your doctor skills and/or items to heal them for XP and small rewards.

  10. I imported your NIF in Blender and imported some of the original armor to compare. The original has it object centers aligned at XYZ=0, yours had its pants and some more parts on XY=0, Z>1. I moved the mesh parts so they might get placed correctly, try it out. http://www.sendspace.com/file/uivaqw Neck coordinates are similar in both cases, as i noticed, so okay.
  11. I'd love to see some more Soviet stuff, like Soviet Securitrons in game... But what should be re-textured? Btw, offering a donation, is it forbidden? I know that requesting a donation is a reason for a ban.

  13. Have you tried the brute force method, aka. importing a hat from F3 and NV into Blender, see if they match axis, eventually correct and export the desired hat back into .NIF for use in NV? What about if i recreate the mesh of a F3 hat, take another, close-looking texture and put it in NV, would it be technically legal?

  16. Dang, the topic is old... I wonder if you still search for this sign, i'm almost done with this. Should i finish it or do you already have one? I also remember seeing somewhere a model of Desperado casino, anyone still have it? Crap, i see TrickyVein already did it...but haven't uploaded it.
  17. I would reassign texture materials in a 3D editor, which are located in default game texture folder and labeled with original_name1.dds instead of original_name.dds. For example, in blender, you import the .NIF, rightclick on mesh, hit TAB, A, U then change in UV window, go to image menu/replace and load up your new texture. Then hitting F5, click an "assign" and tick "face textures." Then, hit TAB, hit A, go file/export/.NIF and you have it.

Well, for one, the robot skeleton structure look somewhat strange (i suppose to minimise deformation and allow only rotation, so the weighting is probably parented to object and not deformation). Other than that, should the bones have a appropriate syntax so the game acknowledges them? I know also nothing about particle effects like weapons and the robot seem to be supposed to spew globs of toxic sludge at enemy+melee. So i think it would be cool, if someone could rig at least a part of the mesh, so i could complete it with the help of example. Also, i think i'll post some WIP on the robot. Would you perhaps like a broken-down version first, as a scenery object?
  19. Did you have something specific in mind, or would you like me to give you something to work on? Are you a "from scratch" modeller or a mash-up artist? Do you have any examples of things you've done in the past? Thanks! :) Rob Mashup-up artist, as you name it so far. I only recently made a account on Nexus, but i've done some models on FOnline 2238 forums as Horatio, as well as a quasi-repaired scavenged police car here on NV Nexus I'd like to go and try mashup an Van Buren Agricola Robot first. from Mr.Handy and a Securitron parts/textures. I have also some basic animation knowledge as well, but haven't imported animated models to .NIF yet, a little help with this would be nice.
  20. Do you have the original US version of New Vegas? Because e.g in my case, a German cut version doesn't support NVSE. No automatic guns or NVSE in Deutschland. ;_; Maybe the Austrian version should help in this case, unless it's s something else.
