I'm not using MO, I'm using NMM. What I did was simply 'uncheck' the 3 ESPs that aMidianborn author says you should set to inactive. He says it like so: - Activate aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp Make sure the following pulgin files are NOT active - Glass_Variants.esp or AMB_Glass_Variants_Lore.esp - Differently_Ebony.esp - aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp So what I did was uncheck these plugins in the NMM plugin list. Now, when I click rebuild patch (I chose 'skip' btw when asked to merge patches as that's what this guide tells me: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/wiki/beginners_guide#wiki_wrye_bash Quote from that guide: 'Only enable "Leveled Lists" (uncheck all other boxes) (if it prompts you to select patches to merge with a popup, select "Skip". Do NOT deactivate the patches as it tells you to. Just skip...If it didn't prompt you, but you see "Merge Patches" enabled in the Rebuild Patch window disable that now. Merged Patches are better done in TES5edit)' Anyway, when I press rebuild patch, I get the menu where I uncheck all boxes except 'leveled lists'. Now I press 'leveled lists' to check what plugins are in there. It has AMB_Glass_Variants_Lore.esp in the list. But I have that ESP unchecked in my NMM plugin list. So my question is: Do I just press build patch and have this unchecked plugin in my bashed patch OR do I removed it from the bashed patch by unchecking 'automatic' so I can then click the AMB_Glass_Variants_Lore.esp and press REMOVE. So what should I do. You say: 'If you're using the Content add-on, just hide the other three files (in Mod Organizer) or delete them. You don't want to include them in the Bashed Patch, and you don't want them activated in your load order.' But the way I see it, aren't they 'hidden' because I unchecked them in NMM? And aren't they no longer activated in my load order because again, I unchecked them in NMM? What this means then is that I should indeed remove AMB_Glass_Variants_Lore.esp by pressing automatic in the bashed patch menu and remove it before i press BUILD PATCH, is that correct? I'd rather not delete the 3 ESPs, AMB_Glass_Variants_Lore.esp included because the aMidianborn author did not excplicitly say so in the guide. He only says: 'Make sure the following plug-ins are NOT active'. Not active and delete is two different things. I'm not a very technically savvy person so I've learned when it comes to modding to EXACTLY follow instructions as not to f*#@ things up royally. So can you ELI5 explain to me exactly what I should do then because I really don't understand completely and don't want to f*#@ up my game or something.

I'm making a bashed patch for the first time as I have several mods that touch leveled lists. I'm encountering an issue though and don't want to continue until I know how to correctly proceed. I'm using aMidianborn Book of Silence and I'm also using the content addon for it. Now when using the content addon, you are told by the mod author to disable a couple of aMidianborn ESPs when you decide to install the content addon. I did this. But now Wrye Bash is listing one of those disabled ESPs in the list of plugins that will be included in the bashed patch. Now it's set on automatic but I can uncheck that and manually add or remove plugins that are shown in the list. My question is: Will including disabled ESPs do any harm? A.k.a. re-enable them when they become part of the bashed patch? If so, should I manually remove this disabled ESP from the list then? OR will any disabled ESPs that go inside a bashed patch STAY disabled once they are part of the bashed patch and allow me to NOT have to remove the disabled aMidianborn ESP from the list? Thanks.

Hi guys, So I'm using ICBINE 4, with Skyrim Reloaded and Vivid Weathers. I more or less followed the ICBINE 4 mod author's mod list he provided on the main mod page. The issues Im experiencing is two-fold. 1: ICBINE 4 mod author is using ELFX in his mod list. According to Vivid Weathers page the weather mod is not compatibale so I did not install that plugin. I did install Main File, Enhancer and Exteriors. This mod adds what I call 'mounted fire pits' (don't know correct English word) to various places, Falkreath among them. These fire sources have fire burning and smoke coming from them. Now, depending on how far away I stand, that smoke is either a white or black color and the closer I get, the lightsource starts affecting clouds/mist generated by Vivid Weathers. Basically the mist appears and disappears or is luminated or darkened, depending on how close I move towards the mounted fire pit. 2: I tried disabling the exterior plug-in and ofcourse this solves the issue because it removes the mounted fire pits all together. But I'm not convinced it's the core issue, because there's several other light sources like Window lighting, these lanterns that hang from cables connecting two buildings etc. Whenever I approach those, I get the same bug, albeit to a lesser degree, most likely because the light source is weaker. When I get close I start seeing Vivid Weather clouds/mist get luminated and when I move away it darkens. Sometimes, depending on the angle that I'm looking at the mist appears all together and reappears when I move my mouse. Now I tried completely disabling ELFX, when I did this, I approached those hanging cable lanterns in Falkreath again, and although it was barely noticeable, because of how weak the lightsource is on those laterns, I still noticed that when I moved in close and looked at the light the clouds/mist from Vivid Weathers instantly illuminates and darkens again as I move away. So basically the TL;DR: Light sources are having weird effects on clouds/mist created by Vivid Weathers in my game, illuminating them when I get close to the light source and darkening when I move away. This is not transitional but happens instantly, which is why I think it's a bug and not an intended effect like eyes responding to light sources or the light sources increasing visibility of these clouds/mist. Because if it was intended I would assume it would transition smoothly rather than abruptly. Anyway, I know this is a very long story but I wanted to provide as much detail as possible. If anyone knows why this is happening and what I need to change to stop it from happening, please help me!

Hi guys, So I'm looking to play some skyrim again. The one thing I always dread when doing a fresh install is all the time it takes to set up the game with all the mods I like and all that. So this time around, I'm going to use something like requiem to keep it as minimalistic as possible. I kinda want to do the same with the graphic mods. I plan on running an ENB with some nice graphic mods to spice up the eye candy. My question: Can anyone recommend a pack or set of 5-7 must have graphic mods that cover about 90% of all that can make skyrim look stunning? And if so, what ENB would you run alongside it. Some ENB's change more than others. Something like RealVision (one I used before) worked nice with alot of extra graphic mods and Seasons of Skyrim (use also) looked better with a smaller amount of graphic mods. Are there any other good new ones that go well with a minimalist mod pack?

Hi guys! Question: Has anyone used both Imaginator and several ENB presets seperately? I've had Real Vision before but what puts me off is the enormously long list of mods that need to be installed to get the video look. I'm doing a fresh install and I kind of want to go a lot more minimalistic on the amount of mods I use while at the same time have some nice eyegasm graphics. Real Vision also gave me too low FPS to my liking. Also, are there any other high eyegasm and high performance alternatives to ENB's? I've heared a bit about sweetFX and some other stuff. But rather than digging through lots and lots of option I'd rather someone give me like a top 3 list of ENB alternatives that I can check out to save time.

I was advised by a friend to use LOOT for my load order sorting. Ever since I used the program I have this weird graphical glitch in skyrim. When I look at something the view might dim or brighten. It depends on what I look at and I guess it depends on wether there is a light source but its very annoying. When I'm looking around the landscape or something like that I constantly get dim/bright/dim/bright/dim/bright. I've googled it and I think what I'm experiencing is called the "HDR" bug or something. The thing is I've been playing Skyrim for years and never experienced this bug or even experienced anything like HDR. Now all of a sudden its here so I figure it was caused by LOOT changing something in load order. Anyway how can I fix this stuff? It's making it unbearable to play the game for me.

Ah! Thank you. Found them now :)

I'm running Immersive Armors and I'm trying to craft Redguard Knight Mail. The problem is I have no idea how to. The guide for the seperate mod says it should be listed under the steel armor crafting section however I do not see it in the list there. There are also no console codes for spawning it as far as I know. Anyone know how the hell I'm supposed to get my hands on this armor?

Hello guys. I'm planning on installing Requiem as I'm looking for that dark souls-esque playthrough in my skyrim game. I know unlike SkyRe, which I have used in the past, this overhaul mod changes many things through scripts and isn't as modular as SkyRe. So I know I will most likely be forced to stop using some of the mods I use now. There is a couple I do prefer to keep though which I will list below. I would like to know which of these mods can be used with requiem without any problems (or with the help of a patch available on nexus) and which I will be forced to stop using. The list is as follows: - All 5 unofficial patches - Climates of Tamriel - Frostfall - Hunterborn - SkyUI - iHud - Wet and Cold - Character Creation Overhaul - Cloaks of Skyrim - Bandolier - Realistic Needs and Diseases Also I've heared this Mod doesn't work with Hearthfire and Dragonborn DLC's. Is that true? Is there a solution to this?

Hi, So I decided, after a long break, to start playing some Skyrim again. Last I played was when Dawnguard was released. I've noticed some new DLCs being released and bought them. I did a clean install of my game to remove all the mods since many of them are probably out of date. What I'm currently looking for is a list or overview of the most commonly used mods by everyone. So which mods do YOU consider to be absolutely required for me to download. Since there are so many these days I find it hard to browse through all of them and testing them out one by one. That's why I'd prefer if someone would give me a few pointers on the best mods. I'm primarily interested in; Immersion, Cities and Towns, Landscape, Graphical updates like foliage and weather stuff, Anything that updates or betters the current factions anything that improves the current class/race/skills/perks/starting system (I played mods like alternate start and various character/class building overhauls that tried to bring back Oblivion classes and whatnot). Also any quality of life stuff is always very nice to have (I used to run a mod that added google earth like representations of the world map, it made all the roads visible and some other stuff). Anyway, I hope someone can help me find my way in the vast ocean that is skyrim mods.

Is there, by any chance, a mod that adds a secret passage/doorway/false backpanel, to the player-house in riften. This would then hopefully lead towards the thieves guild HQ similar to how Mercer Fray has this in his house aswell? I woud like to know.
