Sorry for late response… don’t have net connection yet. But yer… spectral realm spell. Would also have to find a way to turn the water off, as in, water stands as thin as air. Not sure if that’s possible in Skyrim. Sound can be changed. Done that already with time slowing spells. If anyone knows of a way to turn off the water with script, might be helpfull.

It will have a spell that lets you go into a kind of spectral realm. As close to it as Skyrim allows anyway...

Not sure how many are aware of this mod I’ve been working on. I’d intended to have it up on the Nexus by now but I’ve had set back after set back. Now I have real life issues. One being my house had a river flowing though it and I can’t get back into it for a few weeks. I don’t have net access right now so it may be a week or two before I can get online properly again. I’m not giving up on the mod!! It’s 60/70% complete…I will get this mod done!!!...But I may have to throw in the towel and admit I may need a little help. This I don’t do easily. If there’s anyone out there who has made a big mod and has got it up online I’d welcome any help, advice. Anyway… link below to an image of this mod so far…. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/370088/?

Maybe I’m too scary to answer. They should change the title to “Skyrim Mod Troublemaking” Shutting up.

I worked it out...I was putting chest weight on the legs. I am an idiot. Slaps self upside own head....
-
I'm I in the right place for this question?.... or am I being to inpatient? or maybe no one knows what's going on with my legs.... or its one of those stupid questions the all knowing mod peeps think beneath them to answer. (apologies for the rant) Anyway, I redid the leg with the DB mesh, still have the same problem but a little bit worse. So not a mesh problem. I'll keep messing about with this thing but it would be nice if someone could point out the stupid thing I'm doing, save me days of messing about. Shutting up again!
-
No, not fixed but think I know the problem. See the pic below.. the bloke with the messed up leg, ignore the textures and hair, not done them yet. Is this a problem with the skin partitions?... or is it a mesh problem? Anyway I'll keep working on it or go mad until someone here puts me right.

As requested I have made Raziel’s armor from LoK Soul Reaver… it looks good, took an age to make. Though I think I am getting the same problems all newbie armor makers get. (Normally I work this stuff out but fates not being very kind and I’m stuck, I give in on this one) Armor mesh not moving correctly with the body!.... I‘m guessing it’s a weighting issue. The top half of the armor moves correctly, the rest moves-ish. What have I done? And, what am I doing? Before you say go on YouTube I have a crappy net connection…and yes I’ve followed all the wiki’s. But if you can point me to a good written tutorial I’d be very grateful…. Or even someone with knowledge of working with Blender can help me out a bit. I’ll shut up now… (think I may have worked it out... maybe...

Slaps self! Thought I'd fixed it. The plastic bits still show up in darkness. After looking at the mesh in CK with all the BSLightingShaderProperty on 0, the plastic bits are still there. It looks like I have a phantom mesh on top of another. This not showing up in NifSkope or Blender. What am I missing? If anyone has any idea what I am talking about, please put me out of my misery and enlighten me!
-
Fixed it! In NifSkope, the buggy mesh had all the Normals set to 0…. Tweaked Noramls, fixed the plastic bits. Thanks self! Should have found this out, before, posting the stupid question 100 others have asked already!
-
Amazing how fast your posts get lost in the void. Read a bit more in this forum. Searched, Glow. Plastic. Found a few answers, maybe. I'll go back to the Blender/NifScope grind stone, keep trying. Still, if anyone can give me any hints to the plastic bits issue. I’m a learner. An obvious problem is not always so apparent to the novice.

Right…I got an old mesh that seams to be buggy. When in game or CK it has odd plastic like bits on top of the texture. I redid the texture from scratch, and it works fine on other meshes, so my problem is not the texture. Also put the ebony texture on the buggy mesh, still had the problem. The plastic bits only show in game/CK, they don’t show up in Blender or NifSkope. What am I missing? Before you tell me to Google this, I have, a lot, this is last resort. This question needs a master mod maker I think… Any help would be welcomed. Thanks…
-
So if you start with, say a chicken, then warp the mesh until it looks like a trollicken, still have to credit who made the chicken… Get it… My stupidity has been cured! Thanks
-
So if you edit an old mesh in Blender, and I mean edited until its unrecognisable, then adding your own texture, the original mesh still needs to be credited?
-
Thank you, Wolf of the azar. I will now Google CC-0. As a rule, I Google first, last resort, ask on the forums. Just could not be bothered today for some dumb reason.
-
Is this question too silly to answer? Is the answer, go look on Google? Or, is this question like the meaning of life. No one knows. More like. I'v been impatient, need to give people a bit more time to answer my dumb stupid, questions.... I'll shut up now...

Got to get this clear in my head before I put a mesh mod up on Nexus. Do you have to credit edited old meshes/textures? Or is a complete edit classed as your own work? I've got a lot of old meshes that I got no clue whom made them. Silly question maybe, but has to be asked.
