  1. I am having an issue with the "Menu Mod". It keeps installing itself twice in Vortex. It is also giving me a conflict notification. Doesn't seem to do anything with the game, but I am having trouble with my input settings staying between game sessions - I have to reset them each time I play. My research seems to say the Menu Mod has something to do with the input settings. So I am wondering if this issue is resetting my input settings each time I play. I tried to delete one of the menu mods, but like Geralt, it keeps resurrecting itself. I found an old forum comment where it seems the Witcher 3 extension creates and installs this mod. I tried disabling the extension, but even if disabled, the menu mod keeps resurrecting itself. Thanks
  2. Usually when you get "unknown type" errors and "missing (something)" errors, its because you don't have some patch. I see you don't have the "Unification patch for 1.32 - 1.31". Install that patch and put it at the top of your mods (has to be below the mergedfiles mod). See if that works.
  3. I am noticing that the menus that are "below the fold" in the mod screen do not work. I have 7-8 mod menus. They are not on a second page - I just have to scroll down to see them. The menu is there, but clicking on it doesn't do anything. I do have a second mod page, but oddly, it only has one menu on it. Is there a max. # of menus Witcher allows on each page? Is there a way to fix this? Maybe it is a screen resolution issue. I use 1600 x 900. Thanks
  4. I have an update to this post. I appears that the keybindings screen going blank has something to do with one or more mods I have installed. When I have zero mods installed, the key bindings screen comes back. I added about 6-7 mods and the key bindings screen remained, but eventually disappeared after fooling around with some mod menus. Haven't been able to identify what mod is causing it. Does anyone have any advice on what could be causing the problem, or what I can do to prevent the problem from occurring?
  5. Thank you. I am aware that I could set my users.settings file to read only. However, I am wanting to use a less nuclear way. I would still like to tweak my in game mods, which changes the user.settings file, BUT not have anything change that I didn't want changed. It looks like the file keeps going back to the default values. Thanks for the suggestion about the mod.
  6. What does it mean if you get compiler errors on scripts that are in the base(vanilla) game? I do have mods enabled. I do not get those compiler errors when I disable all my mods. However, the compiler errors are not on modded scripts, they are on the base scripts. Weird. Here are the errors: Additional Information: I went back to the base game (no unification patch) and it still is happening. Error [content0]game\gui\commonmainmenubase.ws(73): Could not find function 'GetChosenMainMenuType' Error [content0]game\gui\main_menu\maincreditsmenu.ws(397): Could not find function 'GetChosenMainMenuType' Thanks
  7. I am experiencing the phenomenon of the melted face. This is a well-known issue. I read that by changing a specific line in the User.settings file it fixes it, which it does. However, I can't get the setting to stay. Every time I load the game, the setting is back to the default, which causes the melting faces. How do i get the user.settings file to not change. I have a related issue where my mod settings are also not staying when I start the game. I have to change them back to where I want them every time I start the game. Thanks
  8. My key bindings screen in the game is blank. The key bindings still seem to work, however. "I" brings up the inventory. "M" brings up the map. My F-keys seem to work. WASD works. Just to be clear: The key bindings are not there; there are NOT just transparent. When I click on the screen, nothing happens. The buttons on the bottom of the screen having to do with reloading the default bindings does not seem to do anything. Any advice? Thanks
  9. For us Witcher players who like the great graphics, exotic locales, NPC interactions, and fights, but do not like to deall with the intricate details of the game, like creating potions/decoctions and oils, it would be nice if there was an auto-create potions/decoctions mod. I checked the mods on Nexus and can't find anything like this. Basically, it would look at your inventory of ingredients and give you a listing of the potions/decoctions that can be created with those ingredients on a real-time basis and with a simple click will create the potion/decoction without having to worry about recipes. Then, just like the auto-oils mod, would automatically apply the "best" potion for the fight based on some conditions that you pre-set. You can even make it to where it automatically creates the potions (without clicking) based on predetermined conditions the player sets. Now, all the player has to do is roam the kingdoms picking up ingredients he finds and, in real-time, the mod will instantly create (or suggest) potions/decoctions. "Blasphemy!!", you scream with disdain. "Automatically creating potions/dedoctions is taking the fun/challenge out of the game and destroying 'lore'". So F'n what if that is the way you wanna play.
  10. When I start the game, I get a script compiilation error that I cannot seem to correct. Error [mod0000_mergedfiles]game\gui\main_menu\ingamemenu.ws(311): Could not find function 'RefreshMainMenuAfterContentLoaded' The merged ingamemenu.ws file is made up of two mods: ModESGO and ModFriendlyHUD. I did a text search for the 'RefreshMainMenuAfterContentLoaded' function in the merged file AND the mod files and the error message is correct - that function is not defined anywhere? Here is the relevant code in the merged ingamemenu.ws file (see below). That function is called, but it is not defined anywhere. This code is in both ModESO and ModFriendlyHUD The game was running fine, then I added the mod "The enhancement system" mod which created a ton of problems. So I deleted it. Oddly, when I ran the game, the game ran, but I couldn't load my latest savegame because I got a message that my DLCs were missing - how did that happen?. So I loaded them again from GOG, which went fine. Now this is happening when I try to load game. Just FYI: modFriendlyHUD requires the "unification patch" which is installed and, just in case, I installed it again. IngameMenu_UpdateDLCScriptTags(); if (!panelMode) { m_fxSetIsMainMenu.InvokeSelfOneArg(FlashArgBool(isMainMenu)); if (isMainMenu) { username = FixStringForFont(theGame.GetActiveUserDisplayName()); m_fxSetCurrentUsername.InvokeSelfOneArg(FlashArgString(username)); m_fxSetVersion.InvokeSelfOneArg(FlashArgString(theGame.GetApplicationVersion())); if( !theGame.IsContentAvailable( 'content12' ) ) { theGame.GetGuiManager().RefreshMainMenuAfterContentLoaded(); } } Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
