  1. Does anyone have a link to a decent tutorial for creating new proving ground projects? I'd like to create a project that when researched adds a segment of armour to kevlar armour. So basically I want to implement the alloy padding dark event but for my Xcom soldiers.
  2. Ok great idea I've just added schematics for the upgraded tiers. I'm testing and though the schematics appear in game and the upgraded weapons are displayed on them and can be built but the actual weapon in my soldiers inventory doesn't change. Any ideas? EDIT: Sorted it, I'd missed a line in the weapons file. Next question: I've worked out how to add new stuff but how can I use the modbuddy to alter existing items?
  3. Hello I've succeeded in adding a tier 1 Marksman Rifle to the game which is basically the normal assault rifle with it's model altered to include a different stock and a scope. I've also set it so it counts as a sniper rifle. This seems to work fine... However I attempted to add a tier 2 version by cloning the weapons entry in X2Item_MarksmanRifle_Weapon but now when trying to use the mod neither a tier 2 nor the original tier 1 weapon are in my soldiers inventories. Any advice?

  5. You little beauty, many thanks!
  6. Yes but it also requires the installation of the main file and all that goes with it.
  7. There's a winter overhaul here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68782/? Thanks for the reply. I have seen that but it's the original file I'm after as I don't want to mess about with dyndoled and all that.

  9. Hello I really want the winter overhaul mod but I can't find a download link anywhere. Does anyone have the file and is willing to send it to me? I don't want the newer enhanced landscapes mods as there is too many pre-requisites and the original winter overhaul mod is perfect for what I want.

  11. Actually don't worry it seems to have sorted itself out. I've no idea why it was doing it but upon turning my computer on today there is no issues. Perhaps the restart fixed it? Anyway thanks for the help.
  12. Hi thanks for the reply. My computer can handle X-COM fine and indeed has until now. Playing Long War was fine, this literally happened when I uninstalled the mod. The game runs fine during the opening menu and such but once I load my game it's stuck in slow motion. I messed about with binding keys for various fast and slow motion speeds in the defaultinput file and whilst setting the game to run faster worked it would screw up again as soon as the camera went into action mode or whatever during a kill/overwatch/etc. So the game isn't running slowly or lagging or anything like that, it's literally stuck in some sort of slow motion.
  13. In fact just re-verified my game on steam and despite being completely vanilla it's still in slow motion speed.
  14. Hello I really hope somebody can help me as this is making the game unplayable for me. I recently uninstalled the Long War mod (properly with no issues). I then used the PatcherGUI to apply some of the mods from here: http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom/mods/474/? Since doing this my game is stuck in slow motion and that goes for both when I'm at my base and when in mission. Please help.
  15. Hey lads, the lightweight leather armour is my favourite to wear in game however it really annoys me that it only has one sleeve, I just think it would look much better with both. Think this would be a reasonably simple job for someone with the know how? Just flipping the sleeved arm round and replacing the bare one. If anyone else shares this idea and has the skills to carry it out, that would be awesome.
