Well I only rebought fallout 4 for the PC because I wanted to create mods that I could play on my xbox...
-
Hello, I am experiencing some really bad screen tearing. My specs are as follows: Windows 10 Home intel® Core i5-4210 CPU @ 1.70 GHz 2.40GHz 64-bit Operating system, x64 based processor Intel HD Graphics I have modified my FalloutPrefs to set some certain variables to 1 but nothing seems to be working. I have also brought my game specs to the absolute lowest possible setting. Game can run but there seems to be an issue with the graphics as I get terrible screen tearing. This makes the game almost unplayable.
-
I had the same issue so I uninstalled and reinstalled but this time it asked to install in to the fallout 4 game DIR so I did and it worked fine no errors hope it helps. I don't have Fallout 4 PC version, I have the xbox version but it appears I can't do anything apparently.

I was able signed in, I downloaded the creation kit but now I'm missing files apparently... libScePad.dll GFSDK_SSAO-D3D11.win64.dll GFSDK_GodraysLib.x64 Any idea on what those files are?
-
Still get an error signing in. Anyone got any luck so far?

Your gonna have to break that down for me lol. Sorry, I'm not THAT knowledgeable of gimp and retexturing. I know the basics and a little more but thats about it. If you got it to work, please show me your ways or if it's easier, just send me a link to download the corrected file. I did what you said to what I could understand, which was change the export setting from BC3 to DXT5 ARGB which kind of worked, it actually loaded into the geck but colors are all bright and completely wrong lol.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0nymq4d2l4f3xiy/ScorpionJacket.dds?dl=0 I did everything by the box, meaning my BC3 compression is right, I generated mipmaps when I exported, etc. Standard custom .DDS things you gotta do. For whatever reason, the geck crashes whenever I try to open it in the textures menu. Anyone know how to resolve it? My work is up there, check for whatever you need to check but it's all there I promise.

SUPER EASY (Personal) Mod Request! NPC Request.
BerlinRunner replied to BerlinRunner's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I'm looking for more of the physical aspect of the NPC to look like her but I appreicate what you've come up with! thank you! -
Howdy Nexus, I've come with a rather strange request but I was wondering if someone could create an NPC that looks identical to Officer Cassandra Anderson from Dredd. As far armor goes, you can just use the black combat armor. If you have the version with sleeves, than even better, but if not the vanilla version is fine. I tried making the NPC myself, and it was ok but I feel that someone here can do a better job. I have project Mikoto Beauty so if you have a hair style that looks good and identical to the character than awesome! This job shouldn't take longer than 5-20mins depending on your NPC-making skills lol. Thank you all for your contribution, this is a personal request. Weapon Mesh Connection Request
BerlinRunner replied to BerlinRunner's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Thanks a lot Devin. I'm actually working on another custom gun and I would like you take a look at it if you could, please. You can as well as Vtemporal. UPDATE Well it looks like I ran into the same issue again. I followed Vtemporal's tutorial to the T. Ummm... I'm not sure what the issue was this time around but something I noticed right off the bat was when I was export from Blender 2.73 to Blender 2.49 as a .3ds file, the gun was "cocooned" in the "weapbox." Idk what to make of any of this... Weapon Mesh Connection Request
BerlinRunner replied to BerlinRunner's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Your tutorial seems very helpful! I took a look at it! and so far, I must say it is very detailed and I find it very useful. I haven't put it into practice yet due to time constrains atm but I think this will help me greatly. Thank you! According to the video, there seems to be an issue with the firing animation as well as the sound? Could it be attributed to the nodes your speaking of then? I am only speculating here, as I am unsure as well. -

Weapon Mesh Connection Request
BerlinRunner replied to BerlinRunner's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I haven't played it in Game, but from what I saw in the GECK, the textures were good as well as the meshes. 10/10. No issues I could see within the GECK. Good job lol. -

To be quite fair, that was my first attempt at creating a custom weapon on my own. If it would possible, you could you a quick, bullet point process of what you did? I followed most of the tutorials I've watch to the exact punctuation mark so Idk how bad I had messed it up. Thank you so much again. -
Weapon Mesh Connection Request
BerlinRunner replied to BerlinRunner's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
It's going to be a separate weapon. If you can do that, great. Also if you could take a look at my files and see what's wrong, and tell me what I needed to fix, I'd greatly appreciate it as well. Thank you, Temporal. -

BerlinRunner replied to BerlinRunner's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
That's fine, if you could at least briefly tell me what I did wrong or what I was missing than even better. If you are able to give me the nif file as well once your done, that would be awesome. Thanks Devin! -
Hello Nexus, Well, I've tried my hand at trying to figure this out and now I'm coming to the request forums. To put it plain and simple, I want a rifle butt that I took of a trail carbine to be attached to the end of a 22 SMG. As simple as this sounds, the solution has been quite the opposite. I've tried multiple suggestions but I keep running into the same issue of the rifle not being visible in the GECK. I believe the rifle butt might be possibly missing a texture, Idk as I've attempted to add a texture to no avail. When pulled in Blender though, at one point, the rifle butt had a texture. At this point I have been trying to solve this issue for almost two months, and I've regrettably thrown the towel on trying to figure it out on my own. If someone can complete this request, i'll greatly appreciate it. If you could provide a step by step documentation of how you did and where I went wrong, that would be amazing as well. This will help in future endeavors with custom meshes and guns. I will provide the appropriate files you will need to accomplish this request. Thank you for your time, the files are below. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ei1evd7p3ji6fnj/Feral%20Carbine%20TEST%20MARK%204.nif?dl=0 <<<<< Custom Gun with Rifle Butt (Attempt) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ef7ehbm1z1njo4y/riflebuttpart2.nif?dl=0 <<<< Rifle Butt (NIfskope file) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssa2rlknrtscvam/riflebutt.3ds?dl=0 <<<< Rifle Butt (3ds file)

When you say it wasn't setup correctly, what do you mean? am I missing something? or did I mess something up in the order? Also I've tried looking up these tutorials to no avail. ture UPDATE: I'm reading some tutorials I did end up finding but I'm still looking for a solution. If anyone can help or even fix it for me, (Documentation would be awesome for future reference). Thank you.

I'm still struggling trying to get it to appear. i followed word for word what you guys are saying, and I'm still having the butt be missing from the GECK. :/ I'm leaving the nifskope files of the custom gun with the rifle butt already attached and the rifle butt by itself for anyone to take a long on there own. I'm not sure what else I can do, I've tried everything you guys told me several times. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ei1evd7p3ji6fnj/Feral%20Carbine%20TEST%20MARK%204.nif?dl=0 <<<<< Custom Gun with Rifle Butt https://www.dropbox.com/s/ef7ehbm1z1njo4y/riflebuttpart2.nif?dl=0 <<<< Rifle Butt (NIfskope file) https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssa2rlknrtscvam/riflebutt.3ds?dl=0 <<<< Rifle Butt (3ds file) Please, if you solve the issue, if you could walk me through your steps to the solution, I would appreciate it.
