  2. Hello, I installed a clean version of Skyrim SE and started modding it from scratch, through Vortex, for a new playthrough. I installed mods from an "essentials" list I had made during my previous playthrough. I jumped in the game to see if I had screwed anything up and everything worked well. After saving and exiting the game, I decided to try the graphics mods from Lexy's LOTD. I didn't follow the instructions to a tee because I was only borrowing the graphics (texture/meshes) so I felt it was ok to deviate in that aspect. After Installing what I was interested in, which was like 300 mods, I decided to go in the game to see how "pretty" everything looked. In the main menu, I chose "show all saves" and got a CTD. I loaded the game again and tried "continue" which led to another CTD. "New Game" resulted in a CTD as well. I proceeded to check what LOOT had to say and I had a few missing masters, so I installed what was missing and ran LOOT again. I just had some dirty plugins, but remembered that I had played the game with dirty plugins so I figured it was ok to run the game for testing purposes. Again I got a CTD when I selected "New Game".I decided to disable a few mods and test to see if they were the issue. CTD again.... I did this until the only mod that was left was skse and I still got a CTD.... I then disabled skse and ran skyrim through the regular launcher (SkyrimSELauncher.exe) and again I got a CTD when I tried to start a new game. At that point I was totally stumped and just wiped the game folder and reinstalled skyrim se.My question is, what do you think could have cause the problem? 3. Hello, I have a couple of questions in regards to upgrading the RAM on my laptop....... I want to buy more RAM for my HP OMEN 15-dc1020nr gaming laptop which only comes with 8GB of RAM. This will be the second and last upgrade that I'll make to my laptop. I've read on different websites that 16GB is optimal for gaming, however I would like to buy a 32GB kit(2 sticks of 16GB). I only play Skyrim SE (with mods of course) and occasionally The Elder Scrolls Online. Would 32GB of RAM be a waste of money for me? Secondly, I would like to know what your opinion on crucial.com system advisor. How accurate is it in finding the right kind of RAM for your system? Thanks in advance
  4. I ended up buying the internal SATA SSD. Than you all for your feedback :)
  5. @HadToRegister tried it a few times. Still doesnt work  Thank you for the suggestion though
  6. Hello, I recently started modding Skyrim SE and this is the third time I start over simply because I wanted to follow a modding guide. I managed to install and successfully play skyrim with over 100 mods. But then I added some dawnguard, sound, and lightning mods and my game started crashing. It first started when I tried to enter dayspring canyon. Once the loading screen started, or was supposed to start, the screen went black and then skyrim closed and my screen showed my desktop. I loaded skyrim again and tried to save the game when I was closer to dayspring canyon and again the game closed. I tried loading other saves and the game would crash when I tried saving. I've tried the player.kill thing and still no success. I also tried using the Resaver tool in Fallrim tools to remove the unattached instances and save as a new save file. I also tried disabling the mods that I had recently installed when the problem started. I still cant save the game, enter areas that require a loading screen, or even wait/sleep. My mod list is attached (the enabled mods are the ones I was able to play with. The disabled ones are the ones that seem to have messed up my game) Please don't assume I know what I am doing. I am very new to modding and this is quite new to me
  7. Hello, Im new to pc gaming, modding, and computer components. I bought an Hp OMEN dc1020nr laptop about a year ago and was super excited because it would be my first gaming laptop. I bought the version with the best graphics card and processor within my budget at the time ( Intel Core i7 9750H, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti). However it only came with a 256GB SSD NVMe drive and 2 4GB DDR4 2666 SDRAM. I realized that I would eventually have to upgrade the memory components. Recently I started following Sinitar's guide for modding Skyrim SE and have almost finished the graphics section. The game looks BEAUTIFUL! However, I have only about 56GB of space left in my Drive and the fps is low in some spots so I decided this is the time to upgrade the memory. I will be buying two 8GB DDR4 SDRAM sticks to help with the fps hopefully but I have a question regarding the SD drive. See aside from the NVMe SD drive slot, I can add a SATA SSD drive if I buy the cable for it. So my question is, should I simply upgrade the NVMe SSD drive to a 1TB drive, or install a 1 TB SATA SSD drive and move my games there while only booting from and storing only extremely important files in the 256GB NVMe SSD? I apologize if I used the wrong terms, Im still really new to all this.
