  1. Word of advice: before installing mods, be sure to clean your master esps and install all the relevant modding utilities, i.e. SSEEdit, Beth.ini, LOOT, Wrye Bash, etc. Use beginners modding guides and you'll save yourself many a headache. Also the advice given above is very sound on why SSE is superior and more stable.
  2. You're right, I'm surprised this isn't already a thing. I'd definitely utilise a mod like this. It really reminds of this mod which has a similar effect for books, among other quality of life improvement mods such as Quick Loot.
  3. I hear you. Yeah, sounds like yet another annoying PC bug that Bethesda (who are ultimately to blame fo the lack of PC optimisation) overlooked. I haven't personally heard of the problem before, but when you say 'second desktop', I assume you mean second monitor? Also, concerning the 'big fat pointer' issue you mention, which I agree is silly, you are aware of this essential mod, right? Doesn't solve anything to do with the input lag, but does look less clumsy and more aesthetically pleasing in menus, in my opinion.
  4. "In a game where looting is an integral gameplay element which entails a very high amount of time spent in the menus, inventory etc, this surely has to be a priority" I didn't think it possible to overestimate an issue this apparent in a game that requires interaction with the menus this often. My guess is that too many people are putting up with crappy, floaty, hellish mouse input in Skyrim menus simply because don't actually know what they're missing. It could be heaven, they just don't know it. Alternatively, I've just been spoiled by Valve games and TW3, or Bethesda never really gave a $$$$ about PC gaming.
  5. In The Witcher 3 there is a simple On/Off option in the game's control menu called 'Hardware Cursor', the simplicity and functionality of which makes Bethesda seem like rookie developers by comparison. If enabled, it provides raw mouse input (based on your desktop's default DPI) in the games menus, making mouse movements an absolute, 100% responsive breeze and delight. I am not asking for a mod that transforms the world, gives me a new special ability, moves mountains or adds a new variation of cheese to the food roster. All I'm asking for is normal mouse input in Skyrim's menus. Is that such a radical request? And no, please don't tell me to disable vsync, iPresentInterval=0 etc etc. These options have been tried and tested by many, again and again over the years, and only end up reducing input lag, not eliminating it. Why is getting raw mouse input in this game such an impossible slog and why/how have so many people been OK with it/endured it over the years? Am I missing something? I just don't get it. In a game where looting is an integral gameplay element which entails a very high amount of time spent in the menus, inventory etc, this surely has to be a priority; a quality of life improvement, even. I am posting this query here, in the mod request forums because it seems this is no longer a technical issue that can be fixed by tweaking a few configs. Therefore if anyone could solve this problem and give me a 100% raw mouse input in Skyrim's menus, like the Hardware Cursor option in TW3, I and countless others would be considerably grateful.
