I would doubt so as well considering the proprietary server side management portion of MGO and MGSV online features. I'm mainly curious to see if Melee weapons will be able to be registered as items in the base game. There are definite player character controller changes according to new reports, but it may still be possible to bind new keys and register the new items to MGSV's item registry. Although that's extremely wishful thinking.
