  1. You don't want FPS that high. FPS >100ish can and has been known to cause issues with Havok physics, so you'll open doors and the clutter items will throw themselves off shelves and the like.

Personally 45-56 is pretty good for some heavy places, like the dragonreach steps looking over whiterun etc.

I noticed the havoc freak out already lol. I'd just like a constant 60 and smooth camera movement :/ possibly an enb too.
  2. Okay well, I had sweetFX on and apparently that doesn't Like Afterburner. So I wasn't able to monitor my FPS as a accurate number.

I installed ENBoost and checked with that FPS counter.

I get 70-120FPS outside running up to Dragon Reach. But 40-70 running down from Dragon Reach.

Indoors I hit 300FPS but reguardless of the FPS my camera stutters. Any fix for this?

I'll be turning VSync on but I don't think that is the problem

  3. It was more of a general question.

Randomly my fps will seem to drop to 45-56 range from 56-62 range.

My camera also doesn't seem to be very smooth when moving, this could simulate fps drop to me I guess?

I dropped the plug ins from 86 to 68.

Ideally I'd like to have a steady 60 FPS and a low performance ENB (to fix shadows and bloom etc), and not blurry textures with a smooth camera.

    So:

    1. is there something to make my camera smooth? Right now its a little jagged when I move.

    2. Will ENBoost actually help these problems? If so is there somewhere for good user settings for AMD?

  4.

Hello everyone. So I will say first, yes my Skyrim game is modded, No I don't have an ENB(I do have Sweet FX though). I have roughly 74 mods running and 86 plugins (This accounts for many patches but not the few that aren't enabled.

    My PC Specs are:

    CPU: i7 2600 @ 4.0ghz

GPU: R9 290x MSI Twin Frozr

    PSU: RM750

    16GB Ram

I don't have ENBoost running because I tend to not see how it helps.

So would that many mods really limit my performance?

Not really anything texture or new model wise, least not to the extreme.

I'll post a screenshot in case that helps.

I haven't really done much testing with Vanilla Skyrim.

After all this rambling if it is not clear what I wish to know, I don't blame you if you didn't understand it.

    TLDR:

    1. Shouldn't those specs be enough to have an amazing FPS in skyrim?

    2. Does that amount of mods really drain the FPS?

    3. If yes to question 2, which mods would be best to get rid of? Including the SweetFx as a mod.

You have some mods that are intensive to run...

You have some mods that effect the same assets within the game.

Reduce your list to a minimum and test each mod as added.

Could you point out said intensive mods? And which change the same assets?

    GPU AMD R9 290x

    RAM 16gb

    SSDs

    1080p resolution.

I'd like realistic lighting, performance friendly, and no weather features.

Most important I want it to fix my shadows and be light on performance.

  7. Hello everyone. So the two problems are.

    1. Some times water seems to "flicker" and gives me a very ugly sound that can be a few seconds to constantly happening.

    2. What do I need to make Standing stones and races from SkyRe work with Character Creation Overhaul?

    LO:

  8. Anyone encountered this problem?

in terms of water and audio files I have:

    Realistic Water Two

    AoS 2

    Immersive Sounds

that is also the order they are in for Load order.

    for mod order its

    AoS

    immersive sounds

    Realistic water two.

The sounds when the textures pop and twitch is a loud swooshing static sound.

EDIT2: Also I don't have to be in the water for this sound and problem to happen I could be in a room next to water.

I am going to try higher water textures via Realistic Water Two and see what happens.

EDIT: did that real quick and while it looks nicer, no difference with this problem.

  9. I tried re arranging the order and re installing SkyUi just in case its that. didn't fix it.

EDIT: I think I know what caused this. I had some settings in Living Takes Time that clock things in combat, and for what ever reason the game thinks I'm in combat when I'm not some times and that is what caused this.

I'll Edit later to make sure of this concept.

  10. Well if you speak of Lightning mods then don't mention CoT as it is more or less a Weather mod.

" I was wondering if anyone could give me insight as to if any of these are better than my current setup, or if I should switch mods."

As I said, Pure Weather is better than CoT(your current setup).

and my personal preference is ELFX for lighting.

  11. What is this MUM thing you speak of?

Anyway, make a new merged patch if you haven't already. And post your new load order.

MUM is from the PDF he linked above, makes everything a esm if I read correctly.

Update: haven't noticed any CTD on death or many on loading a save from ingame. BUT I am now freezing on some loading screens which turns into a CTDs.
