  1. I have seen this type of mess that has been generated by LOOT. Get a previous version of BOSS, the load order is not correct. For confirmation, check the FWE website for a sample load order. Also read the installation instructions for FWE. https://sites.google.com/site/fo3wanderersedition/installation

You will notice that all the .esp for FWE are grouped together and in the same order as the vanilla game.

    Also, Fellout is not correct.

Took the LO sample from the web site you linked(being that I am basically only using FWE MMM Fellout and another weather mod that list helped. Going to play some and see what happens. If something does I'll try doing whats under the MUM section. (Btw would that work with Skyrim and TES5EDIT?)

EDIT: two crashes already while loading up a save after death. seeing what I can do with this whole MUM thing.

There is roughly my load order. These crashes are random while playing the game. I could be fine for an hour then open up the pip boy and hit right mouse button and crash. Or I could be reading a sign and crash. etc etc.

    EDIT: screenshot of my mods.

  3. The first sub question i'd like to ask is what draws you towards a mod? Is it the name that attracts you? Perhaps its the Bio? I'd love to know just for basic marketing research. What is it that makes you want to read more about a mod.

Usually the name will bring me to the mod but the mod type itself is what makes me test it out.

The second question i'd like to ask is what type of mod do you usually look for? is it an expansion? Perhaps a quest? or something that updates the games quality of life?

I like to get immersive mods and overhauls.

And finally i'd like to ask what do you look for the most in a mod? Is it humor? Action? Story? Game benefits? References?

I like working mods that don't conflict in many mods. Game benefits aswell.

  4. with seasons of skyrim I get 60FPS mostly but it makes my pc sound like a jet engine, *waves my hand goodbye* no need for that. from what I've seen even with ENB's is even performance you'll get some fps drop, 20frames from a performance ENB is not right though.

TC, please C/P the load order into a spoiler tag so we can look at it? People don't like to download files from one another that isn't through the nexus itself.

If you have a lot of mods, esp texture mods that can cause a large FPS drop, also try lowering texture quality to high then medium.

  5. Is there a way in MO to get a current Load Order snapshot or list?

I installed Seasons of Skyrim ENB, might not keep it though, I am also trying to see if HiAlgo CHILL will help my computer.

Does anyone see more options to improve stability in the game?

EDIT: Tried CHILL, lowered Framerate to 25-35.

    trying without it.

Also installed Grass on Steroids, might uninstall that too.

uninstalled CHILL, fps back to normal. Trying Boost next.

Boost caused MASSIVE freezes where I'd go down to 1FPS. uninstalled.

Leaving as is but might remove Seasons of Skyrim in replace of Ultimate Lighting Overhaul.

EDIT2: installed ULO Ultra, hit 230FPS highest, think I changed wrong setting in enblocal so I will check that, uninstalled because it makes my computer sound like a jet engine(not really but louder than I want), trying high then lite version.

EDIT3: Tried high releative steady 60fps but it did drop to low 50's a few places inside and in Jorvaskr it dropped to 30FPS while speaking with Aela giving her, her shield. switching to lite.

  6. I would put SkyRe and Overhauls after fixes. And in aims of a more stable Skyrim you should strip down this huge plugin list to the essentials. No wonder you get CTDs.

Well this list is "almost" Identical to Gopher's Lets play list and he doesn't get CTD's, but I am going through right now to remove a few.

The CTD didnt happen again. I'll post again if I CTD again and where.

    Uninstalled mods atm:

    DSR

    FNIS

    XP32 Skele.

    Fight Thalmor 1-4

    New Mods installed atm:

    Trade Routes

    Face to Face Conversations

    Rens HD Shrines

EDIT: I did the Vurt Test again this time, made it roughly 7-10minutes then closed the game, not crash.

  7. Random Crash in Helgen..

    Mature Textures for CBBE

a few armor mods for CBE(for followers)

a mod to make terrain look better from afar.

Mods I am thinking about uninstalling:

    Dual Sheath Redux

    Fight Against the Thalmor 1-4

    FNIS(if not adding animation mods)

Any tips on fixing load order? usually what I do is the following for load order organization.

    ESM

    Fixes

    Armor

    Weapons

    SkyRe

    Overhauls

    Followers

    NPC's

    Lighting

    Weather

    Sound

    Textures.

  8. I haven't gotten past the character creation load, but already the into scene ride was TONS better. It varied quite a bit, but I'd say it averaged around 40 fps. One it stuttered at 1fps for about 5 secs, but then it resolved. Besides that, the lowest I really say it stay around was 24 and it even reached 60 sometimes, and the loading screen loaded about 3X faster. I'm not sure how taking away just those few and adding just those few (I also added the ENBoost) increased my FPS that much, but I have to say you really helped me out!

glad to hear the great boost in performance. Removing some of the other mods will help performance as well.

Do you have LOOT TES5EDIT and Wyre Bash? They help keep the mods clean organized and working properly. In my opinion, install a few core mods and install one at a time of ones you really want. See where the performance stays at the sweet spot and where it dips down.

  9. DL all three sounds of skyrim, but none work w/ SkyUI. I load the game and it says that SkyUI isn't able to work. Any suggestions? The SkyUI doesn't mention any workarounds and same on the SOS page. When I disable any of the SOS, SkuUI works just fine.

    TIA!

try using Audio Overhual Skyrim or putting SoS before Sky Ui
  10. Thanks for the reply! What do you want me to send you about the CPU? I don't really have any receipts or anything but I can send you a dxdiag or a cpuZ report. I think the only difference is that the K series have a built in overlock. They have a normal rate of 3.4 but can push to 3.9 if needed (as far as I understand). Also, what is EFF?

With all of that gone...I'm not left with much lol. I haven't looked at your preferences yet, but do they essentially look the same? I've heard so many great things about CoT, WATER, and Apocalypse. It seems like you are essentially gutting my game of everything  Understandably this will increase my performance but I guess I should just try taking one or two away at a time to see what happens. The only thing I am is confused about is for a few of the ones you listed, you give no explanation. For example, Apocalypse-The Spell Package.esp. You listed it and a few others after it. Are you saying these are performance drainers, or bugged?

As of now I'm about to leave, but when I get back on I'm going to try running it with these taken out. Hopefully it will boost me up enough to where I can take it. If not, I might start having to look at your preferences.

    Took away

    Locational Damage.esp

    Rainbows.esp

    No Skill Limit.esp

    ShootingStars.esp

    dr_bandolierDG.esp

    Dr_Bandolier.esp

Added the Grass on Steroids and changed the grasssize to 120

Once again thanks for the help and I'll report back with my findings tomorrow. Out of curiousity, what mods do you use, and what FPS do you find acceptable and what is your rig?

Sorry, for the Apocalypse-The Spell Package.esp and Apocalypse - SkyRe Compatibility Patch.esp I simply forgot to cut out. (Edited first post)

Like you said, you can start removing them a few at a time, test it, with current save and a NEW GAME. a lot of the times when you go uninstalling a lot of mods you break the game save. Which means you'd have to start anew.

What makes CoT and WATER great is they've been around awhile and bugs are ironed out. BUT Pure Weather is basically a replacer to COT with no performance loss. As is Realistic Water Two for WATER.

The more scripts the worse the game will run, more mods CAN equal more scripts. So although it is nice to have all the mods you want, you'll have to pick and choose your mods carefully.

I don't know your GPU's overall standing in performance but based off 1GB of VRAM, you won't want to many texture mods or that many mods overall.

I suggest ENBoost for this problem to help, You won't be able to use some third party software such as DxTory with ENBoost.

I find 1920x1080 60FPS acceptable and I constantly get my game broken because of too many mods. Haha with that said I am currently reinstalling my mods, Core value first then nice to have mods.

In terms of what mods I use: I use mods to make skyrim work better, look nicer and play different. IE: Immersive mods and overhauls.

You'll never see my Load Order without Frostfall, SkyRe, iHud, iNeed or Cabal's AmidianBorn.

    PS: Welcome to the Nexus.

  11. Creation Kit is a good start, does a bit of everything.(Download via Steam)

I know there is a standalone program for NPC's Starts with N, can't remember it for the life of me.
