Hello everyone.I'm new to modding in fallout 4, (or bethesda games in general) and I'm going to live a year without internet or so, so want to mod my fallout 4 to add a ton more content. Here is my information:Fallout 4+all DLC's latest version.Mod manager: Vortexhave: Xedit/Wrye bash/mator smash.Bethini to put all on Ultra+ recommended tweaksENB installed for the ENBoost. (No presets) I have spend over 500 hours on test characters to attempt to get a stable fallout, however it feels impossible after a certain amount of mods (100 ~ish)My goal in the game:Graphic overhaul to make it all look awesome/horror/creepyAudio overhaul to make it feel more like an adventureHarder Survival mode, especially at higher levels.A ton of extra content (Quests/new lands)Some quality of life updates. (Quick trade, survival save unlocker, achievements)How I install: I install a mod I use vortex inbuild loot to decide the load order. I close vortex and open Mator smash (Previously I did Xedit merge patch(remove levelled lists+clean masters) then wrye bash to make a bashed patch. but I've been told that mator smash is better) Click the green arrow on Mator smash to make the smash.all patch. 15 minutes later it's finished. close mator smash to save. Open vortex. enable the smash patch under plugins. start the game. Play for 5-10 minutes. Save, repeat with the next mod. After adding about 10 mods and it feels like stable, I clone the profile so I can always roll back later. The problems I have: installing around 100 mods, I start having random CTD's that I didn't have when installing the mods 1 by 1 and playing for 5 minutes. (Removing the last few mods doesn't resolve it) Some quests stop working. The first one I notice is the one from Jammer on the roof in concord (Sim settlements: Conqueror) I am not sure how to find out. and how to fix this. I've looked around for guides on how to fix conflicts. even once spend a good 5+ hours to fix every single record according to a youtube video. and it just won't help anything. What I need help with is: A way to find the cause of the CTD. what mods are the issue so I can get rid of them. (Step by step guide prefered- can't find a good one, or one that I understand.) or if possible how to fix these so I won't have the CTD's anymore. Extra info:Loadorder.txt (Although i doubt this really matters, as I tried different mods and all result in crashes.) Plugins.txt Any help would be appreciated. At the moment I'm about to give up, which sucks as I really enjoy fallout 4 (And bought FO4+ all dlc's on PC as well just for the extra modding options. also had the FO4+game pass on Xbox) just find the base game/dlc's it too easy on higher level survival mode/want more content and the graphical/audio boosts are a nice bonus.I'm really at a loss, and about to throw the game away.. spend the last 2 months trying to make a stable fallout 4, 64 test characters. hundreds of hours testing mods. and still got absolutely nothing to show for it. Can't even finish concord without getting seemingly Random CTD's. (Although a few were when entering an area (Example: museum of freedom)

Why not just install a mod that edits XP gain in general?

Hello everyone, I've spend over 500 hours trying to get a stable mod list, and I just seem to be unable to install more than the most basic mods without getting CTD's. Now in an attempt to fix that I want to resolve all conflicts in my load order, and for that I follow https://tes5edit.github.io/docs/4-conflict-detection-and-resolution.html Under Chapter 4.7 I did the "Copy record as overwrite" , created MyPatchPlugin.esp Now when I go to step where you drag and drop values from one cell into the MyPatchPlugin I see the O Sign, showing that I cannot drag and drop. Does anyone know how to fix it so I can actually solve the conflicts? :) Thank you,

Hello everyone, I've been trying to make my own mod list, but sadly I keep getting CTD's without finding a good reason why. Now I know that there are people here that actually know what they're doing, and that have been modding for quite a while, so I'm wondering if anyone that has the same goals for fallout 4 that has a working modlist and loadout order that are so nice that they could share it with me. My goals in Fallout 4: - Survival mode. (Make it a bit more challenging than Fallout 4 Survival mode- the start is alright but once you past level 20-30 the game is too easy for me) - Detailed but scary graphic looks. - Sound overhaul to be more impressive/realistic - Seasons but that I can imagine it's in the fallout universe, not in lala land. - Some quality of life additions such as "Survival saving unlocked" "Quick Trade" "Holotapes in their own area" "Reading notes/playing holotapes from corpses" "Auto loot certain item types" "Quick gear swap, so I can swap to Running gear, or Charisma gear, or Intelligence gear quickly" - Realistic Immersion (Lootable Cars) - A lot of new landmasses/quests added to increase the amount of things to do in Fallout 4. In short: I'm not necessarily interested in new weapons, armor, companions.I'm mainly interested in mods that actually enhance the gameplay, to give more quests, areas to explore, better graphics, better sound, bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and to make the survival difficulty harder so it doesn't feel like "Very easy" mode after level 20-30. If anyone has a mod list that resembles this, I would love to see the list of mods that you have, and the loadout order so that I have a good and working basis to work off from and then being able to adjust the details to my personal liking. Here is my example for a mod list (although it has CTD's, so don't use) plugins.txt Loadorder.txt

And all these mods work with horizon? No CTD's? I found it hard to get new quest mods to work with horizon, so I just got rid of horizon. (Which is a shame, as I like the idea)

Not really a mod, and this might go against the way you build your bases: But I build my bases in a way that attackers can never damage ...anything. A complete wall around the bases, with 1 entrance, which leads to a small corridor that then it funnels the attackers 1 by 1 into a hall. in which they will be shot in the back by turrets. They are dead before they can even turn around. and the turrets are far enough away that even if they send in an explosive. nothing will be damaged. Again it's not a mod. but it does prevent damage to crops (or anything else) Never had a broken turret, or damaged anything for that matter. Anyhow, I suspect that the enemies used some kind of explosive devices. Rocket launchers, grenades, suiciders, robots exploding after dead. another thing that makes quick work of crops (And everything else)is if they have heavy weapons such as flamers, mini guns etc.

Yea lots of mods don't give me a plugin, even mainstream ones. Like "Beantown Interiors" does not give me one. Which means that I can only do the load order manually, or by putting mod dependencies in Vortex.

Hello everyone. I am going to live without internet for a while, so I am preparing my fallout 4 with as much expansion type mods as possible. Anyway, I am noticing that a fair share of mods that I install and enable in vortex. show no plugin at all. Is this normal? Or should every mod add a plugin? And if it should add a plugin, how do I fix this? Thank you.
