  1. I think even mods that would stress a console should be an option for console players. Any mod is fair game if you ask me, as long as the author is okay with it being there. I meant to convey that in the post you replied to. Freedom to break your game the way you see fit is important to me, and I meant that both seriously and jokingly.

  2. Considering how you're here on Nexus I'm going with you're trying to find out how to install mods from here. Correct me if I'm wrong there.

Since you're new to modding and there's quite a bit of things to consider depending on how much modding you want to do, I'll just help you get that ball rolling.

You may want to use Mod Organizer as your mod manager instead of the Nexus Mod Manager. It's a lot friendlier when it comes to troubleshooting, among other things.

If you have any specific questions ask away, but I hope that helps.

Maybe I'm just too unfamiliar with papyrus logs to help but as far as I can tell it's not logged there. What I pasted just shows a 32 minute jump that doesn't indicate anything to me.

Does LOOT give any warnings that may be indicative?

  4. You can install it with Mod Organizer very easily.

You can put it as simple as you like but your lack of willingness to read the mod page helps no one here and you're the one who ultimately seeks help. If you'd rather me go away and someone else try to help you that's fine, just say so.

  5. I will try to help tomorrow. I will say I added Helgen Reborn mid-game and it's worked fine so far and I've done most of it.

Is this log from a crash? I don't look at Papyrus logs much but it looks messy, but working, as I understand it. If that's not post-CTD could you please play until you get a CTD and share the fresh log? The end of the log should help indicate why the CTD occurred.

  6. With Mod Organizer you should be able to. It has a NMM install button as well but it adds 2 files, a dll and .ini file and I'm pretty sure that's it. Manual installation is simple as well. Easy enough to remove.

  7. Do you have Papyrus logs? They may say exactly who the offender is.

I'm not sure how effective that script cleaner is, but it does get a lot of love and I assume you got problems with the game before using it.

For me LOOT sorts SkyUI before Dual Sheath Redux. Not sure why that'd be different, is your LOOt up to date?
    43 2b SkyUI.esp
    44 2c Dual Sheath Redux.esp
  8. In Mod Organizer

Right Panel > Data tab > SkyProc Patchers > Dual Sheath Redux > Dual Sheath Redux Patcher.jar

I assume you've done that anyway so verify it's in Mod Organizer\mods\Dual Sheath Redux\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch

For me it was that simple. Verifying the filepath for the .jar was correct and fixing it when it wasn't.

  9. I moved files quite a few times during a transition from NMM to MO and the path provided to MO for the patcher was the wrong one basically.

Verify your patcher is referencing the Mod Organizer's mod folder that actually has your current mod set. Not one you installed in any other fashion.

EG C:\Games\MO Mods\mods\Dual Sheath Redux\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch (my path to the executable)

  10. No mods are running? Verify that no scripts are part of your current load order.

    When did this start occurring?

Otherwise validate files (even though you re-installed), and check your audio settings.

    Is this unique to Skyrim?

There's not much info here to go off of so the more detailed you can be the better.

  11. This thread may help you identify the culprit, but otherwise what Oubliette says is definitely a way to figure it out.

I can't stand abandoning my current Skyrim save and personally have done a complete fresh reinstall of all of my mods two or three times now to keep it running when I can't identify whatever problem I may have caused. Sometimes the tower gets too rickety and needs to be rebuilt, if you ask me.
