  1. Having the same issue. Everything was working fine the last time I used the site (31 January 2021). Went to download some updates for Mass Effect Andromeda mods and the download button is not working.

As I stated in my initial request I have tried multiple browsers on two (now three) different computers.

The results of a trace route are:

I disabled both the Web Filter, the Ad Blocker and the Firewall on my router (10.0.0.1), disabled all add-ons in both Firefox and Edge and still no luck.

I am connecting from Frederick, MD, USA. My ISP is Comcast

    Speeds are:

    Download Mbps

    40.85

    Upload Mbps

    5.96

The link for the file is

    https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/541?tab=files&file_id=4321

There is no link shown when I hover my cursor over the âSlow Downloadâ button. (see attached jpg)

The link for the âFast Downloadâ button is:

    https://users.nexusmods.com/register/memberships

The text from the Firefox Dev Tools window indicates:

    button id="slowDownloadButton" class="rj-btn rj-btn-secondary rj-btn-full" data-download-url="#ERROR-download-location-not-found"></button>

Up until yesterday i was having no difficulty at all.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  2. Thank you poblockw!!

I have become completely fed up with the LOOT warning indicating Cot V and Sounds of Skyrim are in conflict only to be told to apply a "patch" that does not work because CoT-Sounds.esp is missing. The "official" CoT-Weather-Lighting-Audio download no longer includes the "Sounds" file in the 'Optional Files' category.I don't know who the admins are at Nexus, and I genuinely appreciate the work that goes into the site, but they really dropped the ball on this.

    Kudos.

  3. This seems to be a recurring issue with Nexus Mods as it has been happening -AGAIN- since the beginning of May 2018. Just did a DNS query and this is what I got:

    Error 1016 Ray ID: 418632f785cb9f48 • 2018-05-09 18:23:45 UTC Origin DNS error

    What happened?

You've requested a page on a website (nmm.nexusmods.com) that is on the Cloudflare network. Cloudflare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (nmm.nexusmods.com).

    What can I do?

If you are a visitor of this website:
Please try again in a few minutes.

If you are the owner of this website:
Check your DNS settings. If you are using a CNAME origin record, make sure it is valid and resolvable.
    Additional troubleshooting information here.

Cloudflare Ray ID: 418632f785cb9f48 • Your IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx • Performance & security by Cloudflare

I know registering and hosting isn't cheap (I host 5 websites myself) but this really is unacceptable.

  4. I realize this is an old thread but it is a non-issue. All webservers gather this information and all websites gather this information. It is how they manage traffic, load balancing and any number of other bandwidth related issues that affect how they operate. There are simple widgets you can install on a web page that collect things like client OS , screen resolution, browser, etc. This is old news as the practice has been in use since the early days of the Internet. What I would like to see is the folks at Nexus be more forthcoming with the IP range utilized by their servers, that way you could configure your firewall (you do have a firewall?) to only allow the IP range(s) necessary for you to be able to successfully connect to Nexus database.
