  1. The "AlchemyLabIdleMarker" looks somewhat like cooking. They use a bowl and mash stuff etf. It is counter height and looks sufficient. It is located in the Miscellaneous->IdleMarker section first one. There is also "ChoppingIdleMarker", "SoupServeIdleMarker" and those look decent as well if you scatter them between different areas of the kitchen.

    Hope this sort of helped!

  2. Hey everyone,

So I recently built a new dungeon and used several pieces from the GenKit in the Static->Dungeons->GenKit set. For some reason, whenever I test it in game my character gets "stuck" on GenKit stairs. I have other stairs in the area as well and they work fine. When I try to run UP the GenKit stairs, my character runs without breaking stride, but gets stuck 1 step up... After a second or so he moves up another step then gets stuck again... Repeat until he gets all the way up the stairs.

Is this just a bug in this set of kits? I haven't seen anything like this in any other kits, but I would like to find a solution that doesn't involve me tearing down the whole dungeon. Does anyone know if there is a fix to this problem? Maybe with the stairs collision qualities? I'm not sure.

If anyone has an idea or solution please tell me. I will be very grateful.

    Thanks,

  3.

Like making NPC's is fine and dandy. Had no issue with that at all. But quest dialogue setup or making an amazing fortress with NPC's shrouding it and such... they just don't seem to work. Like I put an ranger on a round tower or a wooden tower, and they end up spawning on the ground no matter how close you connect them to the structure. It just feels like the kit itself is too bugged to do anything but make NPC's.

Maybe that's the explanation why there's more topics on how to create NPC's and such than there is creating a homeland, fort, etc. Hell, I'm even having problems with the prison I just made. Just not worth the effort.

Just sucks that it took a week of work to make me finally realize this. :/

This might be me misunderstanding something here, but did you try adding a "patrolidlemarker" and then linkedRef the NPC's to it in their setup? Basically you put the idle marker on the tower, link the npc to the marker, and when the NPC spawns they spawn at the marker.

I've been building my own rather large mod for awhile now and have basically been all self taught (that being YouTube videos and guess/check methods). If you have some questions I will do my best to answer them. Feel free to ask on here, I'll follow this topic and respond when I can. Oh and yes, the CK is a giant buggy mess, but when it works it is amazing.

  4. Not sure what I did, but one of my little tweaks seems to have worked for now. I'm guessing it had something to do with an alias being bugged (which happens a lot), so I remade them all and it worked I think. That, and I also broke and re-connected some dialogue boxes because they get bugged (a lot) as well.

Thanks for the effort guys I appreciate it!

  5. Alright so I'll start by linking the answers that I've already tried from this forum.

    http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1636853-creation-kit-how-do-you-link-two-quest-by-properties/

This process worked one time, but after that it is forever broken. Nothing has changed, and I can't figure out why it will no longer work. So I'm going to start from the beginning.

I am trying to link two quests together. Simply put, when quest 1 ends quest 2 is activated. I have been searching and trying different methods for three days now and I'm having no luck.

Please, if you have solutions share them. I am at my wits-end here with creating mods.

    Thanks,

  6. Alright so I've tried it the way above several times and with different tweaks, but still nothing is working. I have been pulling my hair out for three days trying to get this damned thing to work correctly. All I want is quest 1 to activate quest 2 upon completion. I finally got it to work ONCE last night with this method, but today I came back and it magically wont work. What the heck is going on?!

I need some help with this because nothing anyone suggests seems to be working and no code I can find makes any difference.
