  1. First off: I have a real-life legit forge that can get up to iron-forging temperatures (my second forge for melting iron has yet to be built). I'd like to cast metal versions of various objects/statues from skyrim and previous games (the bee statue, dibella statue, etc) but I question the ethics of it. I wouldnt be using any individual modder's content, just meshes pulled straight from the base game/dlc, then 3d printed, and used to make a mold for pouring the metal. Aside from the legality of it (it probably Isnt but seeing as tons of etsy/skyrim cosplay sellers do fine id prolly be fine), is it ethical for me to use Bethesda's models as a mold for making these statues? Alongside making some for myself, I might sell some (ofc I wouldnt link it on here bc mods wouldnt find that acceptble probably), but I'd feel a bit guilty having used a model made by some bloke at Bethesda for my own profit. I'd feel differently if I wasnt using the 3d printed model directly, but that seems like the best way to get an accurate casting. Methinks the nexus forums isnt the best place to get a second opinion on ethics, but here we go.
  2. Update: manually removed the mods that were popping up even though they were disabled, as apparently they were in the bashed patch I made. Note that I did make sure to update the bashed patch. I still CTD. Second update: turns out I was missing some of the .bsas needed for francesco's to function. I installed francesco's manually due to my fear of using wrye bash (its kinda beyond my realm of understanding), and thus had forgotten to use one of the things. I updated the bashed patch, but I still ctd. Also, most of my mods I installed through nmm. I should probably mention that, as I recently discovered some mods you specifically CANNOT install through nmm. So if any of the mods I have loaded shouldnt be done through nmm, please do inform me. Update #3: Load order has been updated: Update #4: Fixed the issue simply by using a different video recording software. apperently fraps was the issue. whoops. Was able to play 2 hours without any lag/crashing. All Is Well
  3. Basically I just started a new game, and the issues only began after I left the sewers. Immediately after the load screen for exiting the sewers ended, I CTD'd. I suspected it was francesco's creatures and items due to it being a rather large mod, and disabled it, which allowed me to exit the sewers, but soon after encountering a wolf on the city isle I crashed again. I then reenabled francesco's, and made a bashed patch. I have no idea how making a bashed patch works, but I followed a steam guide on the subject and just kinda let wrye bash do whatever. Still getting CTD's, usually when in battle (of the times I tried to play the game, most crashes happened in the midst of me fighting whatever wildlife I came across, usually slaughterfish). Here's my load order: Also, whenever I start NMM it says there was an error loading the following mods: the curse of hircine resurrected, UVIII, Harvest Flora, and Weather - All Natural. None of these mods are enabled, I should note. Attempting to enable them/remove them in NMM causes NMM to crash. I recently got a new comp, so methinks thats why those are messed up. Also, even though they're disabled in both NMM and oblivion's data files thing, they still are enabled according to loot. The same issue also occurs with part of oblivion warcry. Which I think may be the root of my problem maybe? Dunno. I have a steam version of oblivion, and am up to date in that regard. I am running OBSE (atleast the obse log says so, even though when I try look for it in running processes, it aint there). I have included my comp specs in a .txt file included with this post. Ignore the name- it's just what I named my computer. I'm including that as an attachment rather than pasting it in due to the sheer length of it, and because I dont know what in it is important and whats not. Also, I don't know if this matters, but I was running fraps at the time of every CTD ( I was recording a shitty letsplay). Can someone whos smarter than me tell me what I messed up here?
  4. I'm sick and tired of scrolling through a long poorly-designed horizontal list of tons of different potion recipes, but moreover I'm tired of scrolling down the enchantment list for a certain enchantment to put on an item. From what I can tell SkyUI lacks a thing for this, and I aint found one throughout my searches, so I'm coming here to see if anyone here knows of a mod like this. I have a ton of different potential enchantments (gotten though various mods that add more to the game) and this makes scrolling though the entire list just to get to fortify one handed and sneak so I can level grind on enchanting a chore, and take atleast a minute. This is the 21st century, I shouldn't need to furiously use my mouse's scrollwheel for a minute to get to enchantments worth good money on an item. The alchemy and crafting menus are also quite annoying, but not nearly to the degree that the enchanting menu is for me. Thanks in advance.
  5. Sorry for late response, been busy with school and such. Previous saves also do not work. I did not mess with any mods recently. I could verify the game cache with steam but that'd be a bit of a hassle, since id have to reclean some files with tes5edit, plus that might not be a solution anyway. Did a script go rogue and blow up my game or something? I have papyrus logs n stuff I can provide if someone can make sense of them. Also, I've always had autosaves off since I heard they can easily mess saves up n corrupt them or something.
  6. Alright, so I crashed upon entering the corridor to Wuunferth's place. Since then, anytime I attempt to enter my save it loads infinitely. I've waited 30+ minutes at one point hoping it would eventually load, and it aint. My LOOT load order stuff looks fine I think, I haven't changed anything recently. I also use HialgoBoost n AntiFREEZE Patch 9 ENBSeries v0.096. I can provide my skyrimprefs file or skyrim.ini stuff if need be. My computer is a potato, but here's my specs I think (copied from a dxdiag report): The LOOT Report requires Javascript to be enabled in order to function.
  7. Whenever I install some mods, they do not show up in the plugins tab, nor are they ingame. However, some mods work, but the vast majority do not. I have tried everything; deleting nexus mod manager then reinstalling, and a practical million other methods. The notable thing that I believe is causing the problem is that I recently got a new computer, and I moved all my stuff over. Some stuff shows up, some does not, leading me to believe that that caused an issue of some sort. details: I have windows 7 I have all the DLCS for Skyrim I have 111 mods (successfully) installed I have Skyrim on Steam I have 2 programs files folders due to windows moving my stuff over (and I think that may be a cause of some confusion)
  8. What I'm saying is not that I think that my issue stems from BOSS, I merely am saying that I wanted to ensure my mods were a-okay, and that I got all the dirty edits out, updated everything properly, and fixed corruption issues among other things. Personally, I think that my problem stems from my game thinking that I am a vampire lord, as I got the "vampire mastered" achievement when the problem started, and that I'm fairly sure that vampire lords are in third person when transformed or something. Someone in a thread on here that I read said that the problem stems from that.
  9. Update: I am also having an issue with dialogue with NPCs. I believe this to be connected to whatever is causing my being kicked to third person issue. Whenever I talk to an NPC, it takes around 3-4 minutes for Skyrim to recognize that I selected a dialog option. For example, when I attempt to bring up the menu for buying/selling with a shopkeeper, it takes the previously mentioned amount of time for it to load, or more. The same happens with quests starting, such as Lod in Falkreath asking me to find the dog. It took about 5 minutes for Skyrim to have the quest in my quest journal, and to give me the fresh meat quest item.
  10. I recently got a new computer, so I currently have 2 program files folders. The old one from my previous computer, and my current one. I removed steam from the old programs files folder and put it onto my desktop, in an attempt to perhaps fix BOSS. It did nothing. How would I go about fixing BOSS so that I may make sure I did everything correctly? I'm fairly sure I did, but I'd like to be sure.
  11. What I'm saying is that BOSS appears to be malfunctioning, and not taking notice of the changes. Like I said previously, even new mods are not showing up, and removed mods are still there. The being kicked the third person issue still remains.
  12. I SEEM to have fixed everything, however, BOSS seems to not be seeing that. I cleaned all the mods it said to, however, it says they are unchanged. New mods & compatibility patches I have installed are also not showing up, as well as new versions. After visiting my game, it seems that the frequency of being kicked to third person has decreased, but it is still certainly present.
  13. I have no idea if i am posting this log correctly, I merely copied and pasted it. Apologies if I am doing this incorrectly. 14. Before the problem started, I was installing Sands of Time: Ultimate Deadly Encounters. And yes, I have attempted returning to old saves from before the problem's starting, I have tried saves that I had before I installed Dragonborn and Dawnguard. I do not have BOSS or TESEdit. The only manually placed mod i have is SKSE. I have 16 Steam workshop mods, the vast majority of my mods come from Nexus.
  15. I have read up on potential fixes for this bug, and so far none have worked. I have attempted using http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22620/ , which I could not get to work, and I have also attempted to use a hex editor called XVI32 on my save's .ess file, only to find random gibberish I did not understand, such as euro signs and the such strewn about in seemingly random positions, rather than the "dlc1vampirechangescript" I was instructed to find. Assistance? Notes: My skyrim comes from Steam I run Windows 7 I have 106 currently enabled plugins I have Hearthfire, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn enabled I received the achievement Vampire Mastered for no reason, I have not played through any of the Dawnguard questline yet My character at the time of installation of Dawnguard and Dragonborn was a werewolf (although not transformed into beast form at the time)
