  1. I've been following the instructions to a T as possible, but for some reason when i try to open my fallout 4 game, the game just won't play. i go on my steam library, hit play, it begins to start up but then just stops and turns back into a play button. i have tried proton 9 and GE proton9 22, I've cleared and deleted prefixes in any steam library folder i can find to try again, reinstall the MO2 for linux again and again, and it just doesn't work. i don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I'm reading the instructions, I'm watching a video. My only guess at this point is my steam can't see MO2 and my Mo2 can't see steam because I can get it to run on protontricks just fine, but it can't find the steam .exe, and steam just doesn't want to start up fallout 4 if the modorganizer2 folder is in the fallout 4 folder. Plus, to confound things for myself more, the GitHub of MO2 for linux archived the issues pages as of the Jan 14th as of today before i could even ask there for help or advice. Update: I think i figured it out. i think there was a pathing issue with where i installed Mo2 and where my steam and fallout 4 files are located. (for reference, i have steam on a m2 SSD but i got steam installed on a 2.5" SSD card mounted as a alternative storage space for bigger games. my guess is Mo2 wasn't about to see Fallout 4 or Steam couldn't see MO2 and just didn't start Fallout 4.
  2. that sounds more like a save transfer and i don't think thats even possible. but i'm not a modder so idk.
  3. Call me sadistic, but I don't get to see enough gang ambushes after missions to give me an excuse to do drive-by's and car chances, and even with Night City Alive, it's not enough. I want a mod that adds a new system to the game scripts. A mod that adds a Heat level to you whenever you attack gang members a lot when they are chilling, working, or in another shoot out. This wouldn't be like a cop heat level though. Instead of trying to escape and be undiscovered, you need to instead get out of a district or radius zone where you killed the last gang member. The more gang goons you kill, the radius moves to the last guy you killed, or until you move to a district controlled by another gang. (Gangers in vehicles will still chase you, but no more will follow after you ditch them). While inside of the radius, gang goons will be looking for you and drive to your last known area. On foot or in a vehicle, they will be sending at least 2 cars or several bikers at you depending on the gang and how much you ticked them off. You can kill them all and leave, but you need to make sure you don't run into others as you escape, or have a fast car to get out of dodge. There is a catch though. Gangs you attack will remember your face, so if mad random gang members spot you, they will attack on sight. This wouldn't trigger a swarm of cars and gangers after you, unless you kill enough to get their attention again. To lose this heat from the gangs you upset, it's better to leave the area and the gang alone. Give it a few in game days or more and the gang will leave you alone for now unless you harass them again. Repeating the process again. If a mod like this is possible, i would like to know.
  4. i'm guessing he wants the AK mod by Millenia or something, something he is working on now for fallout 4 but has yet finished.
  5. I agree on being able to make ammo. It was a neat feature FO:NV had and the types of ammo i could make was mind blowing (maybe even overwhelming as well). one type of ammo I enjoyed using was the coin shotgun shells. just use some Legion coins, stuff em in a shell and kill people with it. I was even able to pick some of the coins out, in perfect condition or bent and dented. If coin shotgun shells came back that would make me happy at least. I say this because I keep finding subway tokens as I savaged around Boston. So far, there seems to be little to no use to them. But to be able to use those coins to make some coin shotgun shells would be perfect I think Honestly i would rather have this feature as DLC, but if Bethesda doesn't make plans for one then i welcome a Ammo crafting mod for sure!
  6. then fine, play by yourself. no one is forcing you. it's not like they won't give you the option to not allow someone else to play with you
  7. if i could just have only one friend to play with me, i'd be happy
  8. This is mostly a list of guns I believe should be added in as mods for Fallout for. Mind you this is only for guns that are from real life. So if your not a gunnut and want a minigun that shoots mini nukes then this isn't for you. Considering how the weapon modding is handled in game i think it's safe to say we don't need 5 different AR's like I've seen in New Vegas mods. seeing how some guns in Fallout 4 can be re-calibrated for different ammo too turning a snub nose revolver into a heavy barreled magnumm We most likely won't need to see extra guns of the same type and best of all, we could turn those guns into something else (ever seen a mosin nagant pistol? http://cdn2.armslist.com/sites/armslist/uploads/posts/2013/07/27/1929376_01_obrez_mosin_nagant_pistol_sbr__640.jpg yea, fallout 4 lets ya mod hunter rifles into small rifle pistol if you didn't know already) List of guns that need to be made are: AK-47 AK-74 AA-12 (you know you want it) AR-15 (with tones of mods from upper & lower receiver with different models and maybe mods to make it into a AR-10 or others) SVD Dragonov Mosin Nagant (with clip reloading animation please) 1911 M14 P08 Luger K98 M1 Grand Mauser C96 (AKA the Chinese Pistol from Fallout 3) with reasonable mods to make it into a artillery version (a rifle pistol) and Some Bull pup weapons if someone can make a very good reloading animation for them I'll add more to the list if people make good recommendations or if many people want the same kind of gun listed. I know most of these guns don't have the correct ammo yet in fallout 4. but knowing how crazy the fallout mod community is, we might see a realistic ammo mod sooner or later. Plus i hope to see a lot of interesting mod options for these guns, seeing how the customization is pretty crazy on some of these guns. NOTE: also if any of the guns i just listed are already in the game i do apologize but i have yet to see a full list of the weapons available in game.
  9. actually there is a secret feature in the game you can use to avoid these granades. It's called DODGE!
  10. First off there was a furry request a while ago but it's lost now i think. Second, i never seen that mod and it might be the only impressive furry mod i seen yet. I agree a furry race wouldn't be bad to see if it was done right. (IE the head wasn't a stupid, over sized mascot head.) if this was ported over then it be worth while but it'll have to some how work with the new character creator system they have in Fallout 4. And on a side note, the idea of argonians being in the game is a nice thought But Bethesda has shut down people attempting to port their creations as mods i hear. If someone wanted to port Argonians or Khajiit they might as well shoot those dreams and learn how to use Blender and make their own.
  11. To be honest, we don't even know yet if it is even possible to add custom races yet, let alone furry races. There are already a lot of people who want to play as a Ghoul and maybe even a Synth. I say this only because of how different the character creation is now from the last games. Hopefully once the mod tool is released, we'll find out if adding custom races is possible and (hopefully) will be made to work with the amazingly in-depth character creation.
  12. you should also get the NCR Trooper Overhaul - Distributed mod as well. it's a continuation of the same mod drag made NCR Trooper Overhaul - beta. note the NCRTO-distributed needs the original mod to work however
  13. doubt it. in fallout you allways play the "average guy who becomes a badass" fallout 1 you were just sent out to find a replacemnt chip, get kicked out and surive and help people. fallout 3, you came from vault 101 and had to run away to find your father but were hunted down by the vault security that you your self don't know why. fallout new vegas, you were a coruior till you were shot in the head and hunted down the man responsible. if rumors are true about fallout 4 taking place in boston there the commonwealth are, then A. we are another wastelander or B. a android since the insitute Is the most technological place in the wasteland and your some kind of cyborg or android with no memory. who knows
  14. 1. a larger, more exploratory world with near, endless places to explore (i'm thinking bigger then skyrim but who knows. just nothing cramp and small like New Vegas) 2. what New Vegas did right was use some real world weapons mixed with sci fi fiction weapons to select from. this was cannon in the older fallout games and it was a disappointment realizing fallout 3 never did that and the lack of iron sights 3. a animation mod tool to help modders make fine tune adjustments to make the reloads and animation smoother and perfect for special weapons like bullpups, toggle-lock action (Luger P08 for example), stripper clip reloads, black powder revolvers, belt fed machine guns, or weapons that have that magazine clipping through the hand or whatever they have in mind.(EDIT: after a friend showed me these videos, i would flip if it was possible to have custom reloading animations like these as mods for the next fallout) 4. more voice actors. i kinda want the leaders of small towns or tribes actually sound different from the rest of their citizens/tribal's 5. better, more realistic, if possible, 'prettier' faces that don't look like they were in a cartoon show 6. more random events so not everything is the same when you return to a place. the time you passed that bridge where you fought with the raiders a few days ago you now find a baby carriage trap that was never there before. keep us on your toes and guessing. maybe there really is a baby in that carriage and yet it's still a trap? (a ambush maybe or just a booby trap or nothing at all and there is a baby there or not. seriously, F*** WITH OUR HEADS HERE!) 7. new game engine, maybe the one skyrim uses or maybe use the one wolfenstine: the new order used. 8. i know this won't happen but could we make this PC only or at least make it come out for PC first and THEN dumb it down for the consoles? i felt NV could have been so much more if not for console restrictions. 9. smarter AI. a lot of modders have shown it's possible to make the AI more adaptive and smarter, even using cover and stem packs more often. (maybe bethesda works with obsidian on this. more man power to make things right this time) 10. balanced weapons. even the most crappy of guns actually held some use in a shoot out in New Vegas<--- this is a good thing 11. hints of what the countries over the seas are doing? maybe foreign wastelanders, explorers or solders trying to see if they can take over the fallen nation after so many years after the war? honestly, i'm surprised we didn't get more characters with accents like Moriarty or Raul 12. i know fallout has it's funny moments and i like those but maybe add some more depressing moments too. the struggle for survival can make human beings sometimes lose their humanity, and their sanity so more crazy people please! :D 13. MORE CRAFTING. be it weapon mods or new toy's (weapons) or even food and medicine. both fallout 3 lacked enough things to craft and NV lacked more weapons to craft (still don't know why they removed the railway rifle. that was awesome!) 14. possibly rebuilding a settlement or making a new one. it was depressing and a waste for nipton to be just a smoldering town. maybe DLC that lets us rebuild towns maybe? i recall a few mods that were like that. build a town, let people in, fight off creatures, raiders, ect. 15. more interesting locations would be nice. The strip we know now was suppose to be bigger as well as freeside. besides bigger locations, places like megaton and rivet city were amazing and i always loved the mod that lets those doors or draw bridges open the path for the player. new vegas had none of that... 16. give us something super strong and super scary, even scaryer then deathclaws. i want something just as dangerous as Frank Horrigan. or sheogorath... hey bethesda owns both game series now, they can make a sheogorath camio if they wanted as a rare, random event. who doesn't want some extra madness in their life? and i end this with a question of my own.... and what i want to see in fallout 4. 17. will it be possible to transfer mods from NV to fallout 4? like Millenia's weapon mods and re textures since most of them use new meshes anyway
  15. i don't know whats happening. i've tried a lot of things, freash reinstalls of the game, new games, reinstalling the mods and different multi follorer mods (because for some reason they don't have vanilla follower commands or something) i just had to come out and be honest with myself. the two best friend followers mod is slightly buggy. from NPC's getting grey face too loseing the option to tell Pat to follow me again, this mod needs a patch to smooth out the problems. sadly the creator of this mod left skyrim modding to work on a JRPG game so i want to know if anyone in the community could see if they could at all make a patch for this followers mod
