The Geck View window no longer actively updates lighting.
I'm having to Shut down and restart the GECK in order to see the effects of my changes.
Needless to say this is frustrating. Any solutions?

That is a wonderful location actually.
Island is nice since it's scope has a limit.
Not USA controlled but would be pretty easy to say that the US Annexed it since the EU/UK/UN influencing it was a Security risk. (Battle scared?)
It also has a Air port and would be a good location for a Navel Base.
Not really any "Good" locations for a vaults. You COULD say the vaults are built under the water in the seabed. The water acts like the mountain above a typical vault.
Just need some more objects to help distinguish it self as a vacation spot.
Golf Clubs, Tropical shirts, shorts, Golf carts, palm trees (dead or otherwise), Bermuda Flag, etc etc
Might want to wait till post new Vegas, bet there will be a lot more useful items to use to populate it then.

I figure they are:
A: Focusing on upgrading and advancing a Engine for Either FO4 or TES5.
B: Working on a Feature length title for Fallout or TES using the current engine.
C: Working on a new IP.
D: All of the above.
My money is on D.

Yes, but the question is what is going to come out first, ES5 or FO4.
New Vegas isn't really a Fallout 4 because it is being made by obsidian. When Fallout 4 comes out it will most likely be made by Bethesda.

Is it just me or does the Renderer window in the editor, not even coming close to the actual look of the area in-game as far as lighting goes?

Could be a lot of things causing problems. From glitches in vanilla fallout(default) to Dirty Mods, or to not typing in the command correctly. :wacko:
I wouldn't worry about it. You can catch it on your next play through.

I can't find a picture, but there were some female super mutants in Fallout Tactics. Big, Muscly females, like super muscle building chicks * 10. They may not look "hot" but they would break up the repetitiveness of super mutants a bit.

Uuuhhhh.... whether or not you kill the overseer doesn't make a damn bit of difference, aside from some dialogue. And it's not a mod, it's in the vanilla fallout.

and to be frank its rather lame, nothing interesting happens. So if our save game is messed up and its not working, you're not missing much.

I think there is some conflicting reports on what the FEV does to the reproductive organs.
According to the Wiki the FE Virus thinks half cells Sperm/eggs (They contain half the genetic material needed for a offspring) are damaged and repairs them, rendering the subject sterile. I don't believe they said that they are mono-gendered, but it is reasonable to assume that both male and females receive the same strength and mass boosting, and would thus largely look the same. Though I don't think it says they they lose their parts, so it may just be in the realm of 'maybe' as far as cannon goes.
However, some she-mutants would be nice to help break up the monotony of Super Mutants. Perfect goal for a mod I rekon.

Why are a great majority of things in FO3 trashed?
Think of the cold war X 10. Bombs and silos would have been every were. Targets would have been anywhere. The goal was mutually destruction of the planet, not tactical destruction of military.

200 years, one COULD theorize that there was some preservation of artifacts by nuclear winter. Though really I don't think there should have been any buildings left standing. But hey this is Sci-Fi, it wouldn't be as fun if it was just Sci.
The fallout has fallen out, nature habitually repairs itself, water cannot be irradiated.
I agree, I think some sort of Radioactive resistant plants would have developed. Perhaps they have just not everywhere. Another poster already explained radioactive dust can be dissolved into water.

Everyone got hit, mutually assured destruction don't hit everyone but mexico, it means EVERYONE. Its sci-fi so they went Nuts and built enough bombs to hit everyone.
The radio stations and some of the electricity still works, meaning the EMP has passed.

Agreed, bit silly, but has to do with it being a game, I'm sure they would have liked to, but takes time they didn't have.(they = bethesda)

Agreed some towns should have had farms, like megaton, there is mutafruit but no mutafruit trees/bushes/whatever.

HAHAHA no. The were built to make money. The corporation decided to do some social experiments since they had some captive experimentees to work on.
Some vaults were designated Control and would not unlock until they were instructed to, i.e Vault 13, 101.
As usual, only the "best and brightest" would have been chosen to enter the vaults. NOT in the game.

Agreed, and he has not back story!!!!!! Were the @%_@% did he come from? Apparently scientists that read the bible just spontaneously generate in order to purify contaminated water for everybody.
(This is another example of Design limitations. There probably is a back story for him but was never released in the game and so is unknown. or Maybe they just didn't want to have to write 200 years of explanation of why he exists.

The original post was a /nerdRAGE. However I agree slightly. It would be really nice to have more outfits/armor that are beyond Bikini armor, laytex, nude body replacers. Some no doubt have a preference for believability of practicality vs Skimpy/Sexy.
But hey sexy is fun too, just be nice to have more variety.

Could some one figure out a way to have real eyebrows AND a beard on male characters?
Tired of having to choose between an awesome beard and not looking like I was in a chemistry accident.
I found one mod that gets your eyebrows back, but didn't combine them.

Alright some progress....kind of...
I noticed objects will get re-lit if they are moved slightly.
So method.
1. Move the light emitter to where you want.
2. Select All objects making sure snap is off.
3. Move everything slightly, then undo Ctrl-Z.
This should cause all objects to be updated and effected correctly by the light.
Pain in the @%_@_%^@^@^ ass. Wish I knew what the problem was =(
