  1. i sub divided my terabyte hard drive into two volumes and copied everything skyrim related to J

then i reloaded skyrim back on C fresh and clean.

when i ctd [xxxxx] - the first thing i check is of course for fatal errors using tesedit . If none found,

i open my documents savegame folder copy.paste the last two 1 ess 1 skse into a seperate folder

for dragging them back ...then select all and delete the savegame folder (contents) and drag back

those same two from my temp folder taking note: of their number and that usually solves the problem for me.

you can always go into your trashcan and "restore" a save game or two.

  2. are you error free when you run tess-edit?

    have you run Boss?

have you unchecked those recent mods you just added

    to run a performance check?

are you running everything as administrator?

anything that injects files is viewed as a virus attacking

such as ENB's (have more than ONE?)

is your computer running in performance mode

or is it checked "let windows decide"

    look into these questions

  3. i am here to learn the ANSWER to this question as well

the auto re install feature is making me no longer USE nexus mod manager

and i truly like the program very much but it's reloading mods i have DELETED

that are causing me to CTD so it's completely working against me.

    Another problem:

I am a Premium member and even though i am logged in it's asking me

to log in.... that and when i try to use the manager to download a Mod it turns semi transparent BLUE

and basically just hangs... or tells me i'm not logged in or i need to be a premium Member again.

SINCE i have DELETED NMM my SKYRIM has not crashed to desktop even ONCE

and it's unstopable/ unbreakable and works 100% BETTER except for installing mods manually

which SUCKS and only works randomly .... SO for now, it's better for "me" NOT to use NMM sadly.

  4. hey...i really like your writing style -> you get an A+

    it's like we are talking....

    ~

    that being said...

i have to question why you're using media player at all

    it's not that it's a bad program

it's because it's always trying to dominate your PC

you could do the same thing with winamp (free)

and maintain a Mp3 section right on your desktop of EVE favs

then, you can just alt tab to desktop.... and click one when wanted ....or

I'm thinking the media player uses way too many resources

just some idea's for ya .....to ponder or try

in windows mode: for example, you can RUN your winamp player

off of your taskbar.... keeping that music out of the game but still

    within reach

  5. Okay i skimmed over your approach to CTD

and as you're frustrated and understandably so

    lets have you try this.....

go back into your trash-can on your desktop

and select two of your latest saves one ending in ess and one skse or

    your last character save

and then "restore" them back into your saves directory

then try Running the game but dont select continue select "new"

after your IN if you get in that is save that game and exit

now go back in but load the last character save you just restored

one last thing another method is to run the game bare bones

no mods zilch just skyrim.esm to get a START

    also

make sure to check your journal and UN-check all quests for now

  6. HEY Dark0ne

Your doing a great job....i must say... and as far as glitches and Snags ...no worries...as FAILURES

Large or Small only serve to point you in the right direction in the end. Sometimes you have to step away,

clear the mind ....listen to the wind in the tree's as they speak volumes so that new idea's will formulate.

  7. here's one to spawn 10 giants...

    player.placeatme 69f7d 2
    player.placeatme cobe5 2
    player.placeatme c97d1 2
    player.placeatme 30437 2
    player.placeatme 30438 2
    player.placeatme 23aae 2

for some reason they kill one of them

before acting like normal giants lol

great to spawn them within city walls

give those Mouthy guards something to do

  8. well you said "DREAM MOD"

I would Love a mod where you could type your own replies instead of multiple choice

and the AI game engine would be able to better recognize the meaning of your responses

within reason of course as LORE based.

  9. a safer method is to download your mods as WinRAR files and save them

on an external drive if you really want a bullet proof way to save them.

Don't get me wrong I fully utilize NMM but I also take the time to download the file

as a WinRAR archive too just in case some files get compromised I only have to

look in my external drive to reclaim the mod again.

I do feel that windows 8 isn't as good as 7 for gaming UNLESS you tweak it

to run in high performance mode and keep your game save's to a minimum

    within the game.

  10. make a bat file (text file)

    name it V

    copy paste this in it

    PLAYER.ADDSPELL 00027EB6

    PLAYER.ADDSPELL 000B8341

    PLAYER.ADDSPELL 000D61E3

copy/ paste the file into your skyrim launch folder

    --------------------------------------------------

also have plenty of extended invisibilty potions

in your q and try using spells and potions simultaneously

but the computer/game engine always knows your LOCATION

but you can fool the npc's with the shout "throw voice"
