  1. Now I don't have sound when the game starts. Unreal. I just don't even know where I'm going wrong and if I'm doing anything right.
  2. I've read in a few places that running the game in XP Service Pack 3 is the way to go, but I've also tried it in various packs. No change in my issues.
  3. 7700k Kaby Lake Currently running through Xuul's performance mode series to see if anything works. I remember dealing with this exact issue before and running through numerous fixes only to stumble upon one fix that worked...
  4. I'm having the same problem man, I hope some people stop in here with some tips and tricks. I've tried so many different things. It sucks :(
  5. I apologize - I realize this really doesn't have much to do with mods as of yet and would be more appropriate in the technical support section.
  6. Hey folks...I've seen other people with my issues and I've tried various solutions...I cannot get this game to work properly on my PC. I've turned all graphics settings to the lowest setting and it still is running at a snail's pace from the character selection screen. I am at my wit's end right now and just want to get the game working properly...I'm so worn out I don't even want mods anymore. Just the game. Can you guys please help me? As far as hardware goes I'm running an i7, 16 GB ram, and a 1080 GTX. I have the Steam version with the GOTY DLC. I have a novice level of experience with modding, and the recent Vortex situation has really made my knowledge all but useless. Thanks for any help y'all. I'm willing to try anything, even re-doing stuff I've already done (wouldn't be shocked if I did em wrong)
  7. I forgot to update this! Everything is working fine. I believe the ORDER of everything I did was what fixed it. Thank you again for your help!
  8. I installed FOMM, GFWL, and then FO3. The game works now. I did NOTHING else, not even the multicore cpu fix. I'll do that next and see what happens. then slowly add mods
  9. Please don't belittle me, I know you're helping but you have to understand I have basic knowledge of all this. I'm not asking for my hand held, I'm asking for clear instructions and answers to my questions. I am frustrated that I can't play my game, and I am not looking to be made a fool of.
  10. I don't use FOMM, I use Nexus...So it would be along the same lines just in that location instead. Would I then move those to FO3 game folder? Or copy/paste
  11. Okay so how should I go about getting those 3 files to show up? I completely wiped GFWL and FO3 from my PC. What order should I install? I will read through those threads and see if there is anything I haven't already done. These xlive files, I must have missed this, first I've seen it...
  12. So what all does that tell you? To me, it's about as legible as Mandarin...lol
  13. http://i61.tinypic.com/k477es.png I launched FO3, or attempted to, it failed, then I went to event viewer and that is what I received I fresh installed the games, no mods downloaded currently.
  14. Okay thanks! I will do so when I get home from work. I work weird hours haha. I DO remember spotting 32 bit on a few things when I was tweaking some stuff. I have a feeling I need to wipe FO3 and wipe GFWL and install them from scratch...
  15. I'm running Windows 10 Pro on a GTX970. I tried all of the aforementioned fixes...including the Nexus fix. It is still crashing. I don't know what is going on. This sucks. I feel like I am missing something. GFWL, should that be on the same harddrive or should it not matter? I disabled it, anyways. Edit: And yes, it is a steam game.
