my first games were Impossible mission and winter olympics on commodore64 when I was 17, those woke up my gaming soul, but I had to leave the commodore behind when I moved, what really got me going later (with me being 32 was Monkey Island ... playing that I was lost ... my gaming soul endlessly hungers for more ... and more ... and more :D

My still alltime favorite game in the world ist Impossible Mission, played on a commodore 64 when I was 17years old ... followed closely by kotor 1+2 (first time played after I doubled that age ;D )
both games were a real challenge for me and I still love them so much

Hi there :)
I´m a player of nomansky and know of nexus because of it.
I recently found out that there is a forum to this site
I usually just snuck in, grab the mod I want and hightail out again :teehee:
I´m not a modder but love to use good mods which makes my gameplay a little more relaxed or gives you just the little extra to make it a bit more fun. I admire players, fans of games who does mod and I am so happy they do.
there is not much more to tell other that I love to play good games ... oh ... and that I am from Germany :)
ya all have a nice weekend :)

selecting specific galaxy without a mod but with the editor

soooo ... I found a way to select any galaxy I want without any mod and without jumping from galaxy to galaxy all you need is the nms save game editor and a list with the galaxy names and their distribution of planet types and hazards
there is a wiki with a list of the galaxies plus their distribution https://nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Galaxy
so, after you chose a galaxy you really want to go to you have two options 1) exit your current game while parked on a planet or 2) on an spacestation ...( this is important as to what you have to do later after a galaxy switch)
another important detail ... Euclid may appear in the list as number 1 but in the save-game history it is the number 0 (zero) ... so after you picked a galaxy take the number of it MINUS 1 ... like you choose number 30 Sudzerbal ... you have to use the number 29 in your save game.
ok ... first of all ... do a backup of your current savegame!!!! (just in case)
now you have to go to the editor, choose the game you want the galaxie changed then:
open the Edit raw JSON
klick on PlayerStateData ... the first folder is named "UniverseAdress"
klick on the plus to open folder
first topic you can see is the "RealityIndex"
click on it and you see a number on the right side, thats the number of the galaxy your in currently.
change the number into the one you want but dont forget!! MINUS 1 (if you want galaxy nr 30 put in nr 29)
save and exit
start the game ... now ... the next bit can be a little tricky.
if you exited you last game while parked on a space-station you will find yourself falling throu space and will soon die ... dont worry ... you will wake up in the spacestation with you spaceship parked beside you
just hopp in the ship and exit it right away again and voila ... all done ... the system your in now is likely to be almost in the same position the the one you where in the galaxy before like ... you where right in the middle of the galaxy so you are now right in the middle of the new galaxy
if you exited you last game while parked on a planet you will find yourself awakening on top of your spaceship in the middle of space ... now you dont need to die for this one, just go into the menu and restart the latest savegame ... when it has finished loading you will sit in the spaceship and just have to move forward, there will be a little invisible border you have to cross and which costs you some damage but not enough to die ... anyway ... make your way on a planet or spacestation, save the game and voila ... welcome to your new galaxy :D
