Really, because, I dont recall ANYONE forcing you to buy Skyrim. No one made you get Skyrim No one made you install Steam No one held you at gunpoint No one forced you to do ANYTHING Stop blaming others for a choice you made for yourself. This is why I can't take the majority of anti-steam people seriously, I dont particularly like Steam myself, but the levels of denial over their own willing involvement in the matter makes me want to distance myself from them as much as possible. Reread the post. If I-I-I-I-I have to force Steam to take MY money, and the only way that I-I-I-I-I can play a game is by going through Steam, then I AM being forced to use Steam. I agree with your statement about Skyrim, no one made me get it. I wanted it and don't deny that. I already had steam on my computer because I had Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 2 on my computer and that is where my first contact and complaints with Steam came from and through 4 more games my tolerace for and patience with Steam has been thoroughly worn out. But saying I wasn't forced to install it is idiotic since I had to pay real money for the game, and low and behold I now have to jump through hoops in order to install and run the peice of software I just purchased. Honestly I had an easier time loading crap on the Commadore 64. No one did hold me at gunpoint and to imply anything like that is moronic at best. Steam did force me to install it, in order to use these titles that I like so much. I didn't know how idiotic that move was at the time. The first time I installed a game with steam took just under 38 hours and twelve tries because I didn't know that steam was so badly programmed that it didn't have an autocheck to see if there was a disk in the drive. Silly me. The second time took just over an hour and two tries because I knew the trick to get steam to read from the disk. When I got Skyrim, it took four tries and 3 hours to get it to install right, again because of steam trying to do something weird. I never said I don't like Skyrim. It's pretty as all hell, and it's fun when it runs right, but when you get bounty in a kingdom because you killed a skeleton, defensively I might add, then even you cannot deny thet that is one hell of a glitch. But still I said that I am not going to get any more games with steam attached for the simple reason that steam has pissed me off so much at every turn. Needlessly complicating something that before steam came along was as simple as clicking a few buttons than watching TV until the install was finished instead of having to baby the damn thing at every turn. Simply put I don't care if you want to distance yourself from me sajuukkhar9000. I dislike steam because: It is intrusive, Buggy, Inconvenient, Constantly springing adds on me when online, Required to play some of my favored games, legally.

I like Skyrim, and I hate Steam. But all of the complaints about both are valid. Skyrim is a buggy mess of a game that is fun most of the time when it is running well. Steam is a buggy mess that is a pointless waste of hard drive space. Skyrim is the last game I am going to ever get that is on Steam. And as much as I like some of my other Steam powered games which I am going to keep. Putting up with Steam itself is no longer a tolerable endevor for future games. Another poster mentioned that Steam wasn't alone in it's data tracking theivery, and that is true. I was tempted to get Diablo 3 and the instant I learned that it required a constant live internet connection to play the single player campaign, I laughed and said "No." The only reason to have a live internet connection to play a single player game is to mine for data and no other reason. Another poster said I don't know the defintion of spyware/adware, I do, I just lump Steam into that catagory for convenience sake, I can't really call them a client server because that would indicate that they actuallly serve the clients, and frankly if I practicaly have to give you my money at gunpoint, you are a very incompitent server. I have five games that are steam clients, and every one of them has been a pain in the ass to install, update, and get DLC for. I put up with it because I liked the games. But Skyrim is a major test of my patience and to be blunt I will not try to defend the shortcomings of Bethesda when it comes to some of the crap I have had to put up with in Skyrim. So I understand the frustration of the person who created this post. I have had some game Breaking glitches occur where I had to delete 15th level characters because of some stupid glitch that made the save unplayable. Random murders that appear in your stats when you haven't killed a single human, not even bandits. Flying mammoths, suicidal deer, levitating khajitts, phasing corpses, random falling through the floor into the gray abyss only to end up in the exact same room, massive inexplicable slowdowns in various areas, broken quests, unfinished quests, and npcs that will fight from cover only to leap over a cliff to get at you types of things have I seen in this game. Sometimes all within 30 minutes of starting a new game. When a game starts to not be fun, it becomes a chore. And why should you have to pay full price to do someone else's chores.

I don't either. Not one person that said they hated Steam actually gave a good reason as to why. Other than the inconvenience. The inconvienience, the fact that it is a required piece of spyware/adware. The fact that ittries to download of the internet when you have the actual disk because some moron couldn't put in a goddamn "or if/and if" statement. The fact that I don't want all my game stats recorded without my say so. The fact that it is an ectra program running for no other reason than because "they" said so. I hate Steam because it represents an unwanted intrusion in my gaming life that essentially tells me I have to live with it or I can not play these games.

Not to mention all the different things that the Nerevar did from game to game, same for the unnamed hero of the Oblivion crisis and Shivering Isles incident. How many tried to stay out of the theives guild of dark brotherhood? And how many actually went and joined the knights of the nine? Al pertinent questions.

How about something like this. Real succubi are manipulators using whatever means necessary to acheive their goals, and can hide their true nature until they are either forced to drop the act or until their goal is achieved. So take that into consideration. That means they can hide the wings an tail if they want.

How do you mean? Do you want to give an NPC telekinesis? Or are you asking if you can make it so that TK works on NPCs?

I tought a power armor should make your movements slower and less agile... i would say if it modifies your speed it should make you much slower and restrict your ability to sprint for realism and balance. And i think it would be also quite imbalanced if you would be able to upgrade it by smithing, you should be able to upgrade it by a dwemer scientist but not by yourself. Depends on what your speciality is in game, if you are the average barbarain nord warrior who aquired it by dungeon crawling chances are you wouldn't have the requisite skills to craft it either but improving the armor would be nothing more than sticking another quarter inch of steel onto the chest, although you still couldn't do that unless you are heavily invested in black smithing (60+) plus 2-3 perks. Not to mention just making the damn thing would require 60+ skill ranks in smithing, 70+ ranks in enchanting and wasting 5 perks on smithing and a minimum of three on enchanting, not to mention probably several thousand gold in materials., plus you would not be able to enchant them with cutom stuff. As for slowing you down that is debatable, if you have wheels on your feet you would go faster, but still wouldn't be anymore agile, but even without that,this stuff is augmenting your strength, considerably, but it also weighs a ton, well technically half a ton, this would not be very light stuff, but it increases your land speed but not your reflexes, because one is related to muscle strength, which any mechanical appendage can increase with the right construction, and the other is dependant upon hand eye coordination and nueral input, which is not so easily upgraded by any means. RL example would be a pair of mechanical legs a man developed some 15-20 years ago using high end composite materials, they gave him a walking speed of around 10 MPH and a jogging speed around 30 or so, and they were entirely mechanical, but they were also expensive I i am not entirely sure what happend to the company of the product, and although they could give you a better slam dunk than Micheal Jordan, they were still only usable by few people, and repairable by fewer people if any. This powered armor might not increase speed, god knows if multiple meshes get made we could have many different variations. God knowsthere are multiple ideas on how powered armor should be, as a thought consider the difference in approach between Iron-Man and Iron-Monger.

Hell I killed a guy dragged him over to a portcullis closed it on his torso, raised the portculis only to find him impaled on one of the spikes seven feet off the ground, so I reanimated him and closed the portcullis on his torso again. It took me a while to come up with a good thought on the subject when I first read this on the day the CK came out. The thing is everyone who replied gave good insight and fairly well thought out replies, except a few but that is to be expected. The reality is that a game as immersive and large as Skyrim does deserve a higher quality mod than what sexlivion and almost all of the others allowed for, but the problem is and has always been the fact of individual tastes. Some will simply look at the titles of this post and simply say "a contextual porn mod" and go on to whine about how there aren't enough mods about their favorite anime, or why aren't there any good smg's in Skyrim. Others like the individual poster's will have a widely varying ideas on what an acceptable/tasteful/contextual sex mod should be. Being the person I am and having the multiple personalities that I do I can say that I like the idea of a contextual sex mod in Skyrim, but what does that MEAN. Well when you think about it sexual relations in real life can be done, and only be done in one of four ways. Before all of you start ranting and raving about postitions, and emotions, and what constitutes sex what doesn't let me explain what I mean. Positions have nothing to do with how you have sex but emotion does. The first way to "Do it" is sweet, sensual, romantic love making. The second is way is having mechanical and robotic sex. The third is the passionate, lustful animalistic f*ckin. The fourth I will discuss later. Now those three ways of intercoarse are not mutually exclusive and in fact during one encounter you could go through all of them individually, you can even go through any two at the same time and really there is no wrong way. But in a game you can't really express that in any meaningful, especially with any of the current companions/marriage prospects in Skyrim, they just really aren't fleshed out enough to do anything other than mechanical baby-making, not that prostitution, or easy tail should be unavailable or that they would be averse to making-love, or f*ckin your brains out, or just letting you in long enough to releive the tension then straight back to business. If you do it too graphically, you demean the act to little mire than pornography, too much innuendo on the other hand kind of makes me think that it's all tease and no action. You should get something like you get in the movies where it is artistic, driving home the point that this is love, or lust, or a business transaction, and should be represented as such, a spouse or follower would and should have a deeper connection to you and thus allow for a more meaningful and personal encounter than, "I need you to do something for me...", some groupie wench you pick up in a tavern on the other hand wouldn't be much more that a fun diversion and thus it wouldn't make sense to have a whole quest just to get into her panties, and a hooker whether male or female is not going to make love to you, they are just going to do their job then get out after collecting their pay. I can't really think that it would be a simple matter to make a mod like this but the reality is we probably won't get anything other that a series of screw animations for quite a while. :wallbash: This also brings up the question of what constitutes a sexual act, just because someone wants a toilet mod doesn't mean they particularly want to be able to pan around to watch someone take a dump, but a certain percentage WILL want to do just that, and that brings up B&D, S&M, scat, beastiality, fetishes of all kinds, I am more than sure that crap will crop up too and while I don't like any of that stuff, I just won't down load any of it rather than gripe about how someone can enjoy watching someone else getting whipped. And another thing is that BOTH genders should be represented not just a male dominated perspective. Women have sexual desires and and wants to and many aren't all that interested in a commited relationship in order to get laid, and like everything else women are widely varied on this too. Some will want to see romance blossom and the act itself be more about seduction and innuendo rather than graphical thrusting motions, and other women will want the graphical thrusting, because they like the thought of a tall, handsome, muscular man with enormous genitals thrusting into a girl, just like the men will want to see a beautiful naked goddess with giant breast bouncing on a pole. And some people of both genders will want to see two dudes getting it on, or two chicks going at it, that is also still fine. But how do you put it into context. The answer is of coarse that you would have to practically rewrite most if not all of the current characters in Skyrim in order to have anything other than a "Have Sex" spell or even worse, completley create new characters with backstories, and plots of their own are available for romance, random NPC's in taverns or on the streets who are little more than star struck groupies/fans who are willing to do a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g for you, and good old prostitutes. Finally as I said I will niow come to the fourth kind of sexual action, even though it really has less to do with sex and more to do with control/domination, and that is of coarse rape. It was said earlier in this discuassion that rape was taboo on this site but that is not what I am discussing here, I am discussing contextual sex and this does apply, after all Skyrim is a war torn country with all sorts of illicit and illegal activity going on, drugs, murder, assasination, political corruption and intrigue, kidnapping, and a very limited number of guards to maintain the little semblance of order there is. The game even gives you a REALLY good backstory involving rape when you talk to Sapphire once you join the Guild, making her one of the few characters that actually felt truly fleshed out in the game (but that is a different gripe), the fact of the matter is that tis is also a viable RP option for contextual sex as loathe as I am to admit it. That is actually how a great many Viking marriages started, not really sure on the numbers, probably on the low end of lasting relations but it did happen, in Sparta, when a man came of age he could keep what he could take, wich in sparta was strangely sexist of them since they actually did train spartan women how to fight and considered women to be equals in everything but heavy lifting, the greek pantheon certainly had no problem with gods raping mortals. In game contextn it would be incredibly touchy to do I would recomend against it but the thing is BOTH genders are capable of rape contrary to what some of the previous posters think, in fact it would be EASIER for women to rape men in Skyrim and I don't mean by carrying around a strapon, it would be easy for a rogue/assasin to to paralyze and incapacitate a man then manually stimulate him to readyness for the act, a mage would simply cast a handful of spells the mount up, a warrior would just beat them into submission, then bully them into the act, but I think it would actually be more interesting to try and stop something like that, say the Dragonborn gets wind a fort or hideout that is "supplying" a local brothel or slave den, and when the DB arrives they find out it is much worse than he/she first thought, again this is actually a context for sex even if this sex act is one of the vile things one human can do to another. I would at least be a better reason to respond to the kidnapped girl who says she escaped mistwatch, (and somehow got half-way across the map without finding a single town, even ignoring Whiterun despite the fact that it is the most visible city in Skyrim, but I digress) As for content that will be up to the individual modders out there, but I think that that a mod of a sexually oriented nature would be nice if tastefully done in the right context rather than the "So do you fancy me?" of vanilla Skyrim, and would be far better than the inevitable "You wanns screw me? ....YES, sitick it in my deserving little hole!!!" mod that will come out. I want something where my spouse, whether it's Camilla, Aela, Farkas, Vilkas, Ysolda, or any of the others does more than make me a sandwich and lets me take their hard earned money. A peck on the cheek, a grope of the bum, a cuddle in the chair, a nice stripshow, a nice cuddle in bed (not sexual), a good romp in the sack (completely sexual), or hell just a good kiss with tongue would be nice. For the characters that have no intereast in getting hitched, why aren't there groupies galore for the first man to slay a dragon in over a thousand years (or however long it was) and wmoen should have it even easier for casual sex, because men are dumb. And WHERE ARE THE HOOKERS, you would think that of all places Riften would be a haven for the worlds oldest profession, hell you would think that every pro would be a part of the Guild. This is a great idea, I think that it not only sould be done but done better than in oblivion. Things it has to have: --Working mandibles. --Knife Gauntlets, not hand-to-hand stuff but actual wristblades catagorized in the one handed sword tree. --Predator vision modes when wearing the mask. The vision that the orcs get when enraged can serve as the unmasked pred vision. --Variety of pred weapons and gear, Spears and Javelins, Wrist Blades, Plasma Caster/s shoulder and armmounted versions, Net Launcher, Throwing Disc/Glaive, Toggleable Cloaking mesh and armor, Mask. --Skull, spine, and skin harvesting of all dangerous creatures, including humans. Almost all of which can be done if someone can actually makes the meshes.
