I started a mod-lite skyrim ae run a few weeks ago and have been having fun with no issues until recently.
I added a secondary mod profile on vortex that used a heavier set of mods (including FNIS and Bodyslide) which caused animation issues in my other mod profiles.
This was surprisingly difficult to solve (not a simple rebuild on bodyslide+rebuild animations with FNIS) and resulted in me having to purge my mods and do a fresh wipe of skyrim.
I backed up my save games before the purge for my original mod profile, and after a clean reinstall + reinstall of the mods used in that original mod profile, attempted to play that original profile again after porting my saves back.
However now I have a collection of new issues.
Firstly, whenever I load up skyrim, it disables all my mod .esp files, forcing me to re-enable them in the creation menu in the main menu.
Secondly, whenever the escape key is pressed now, the game crashes to desktop instantly, no error message or freeze, just a straight close as if I alt+f4 the program.
The game CAN be saved with quicksave, but I would like to resolve the issue at hand if at all possible.
I did research trying to find the issue, the closest I found was someone saying that it's likely an older/malfunctioning .dll file, although I was literally just playing this a few days ago with no issue so it's unlikely to be an outdated one (II have checked). I'm really hoping I can save my save game (I put a lot of time into it!).
Load Order (I use Vortex):

I made sure to install SSE Engine Fixes correctly also, manually installing part 2 into the Skyrim Special Edition root directory.
EDIT: This issue is now effecting new saves as well, so Skyrim AE is completely unplayable.
EDIT: Installed CrashLogger but couldn't make heads or tails of what it was trying to tell me (See; attached file)
