  1. Besides HDT and a few sexmods from Loverslab the most critical argument for SKSE (and the reason why I still play Oldrim) is Race Menu. It's not just the tons of options for the modification of a player character's appearance, it's crucial for creating standalone followers too, because you are able to shift your created player appearance in Race Menu over to a standalone follower and ONLY THEN followers/NPCs look as they should. Creating Followers/NPCs just by CK isn't even close when it comes to options and I won't even talk about the usual CK bugs (which are - unbelievably - still there) like the dark face bug. So I rate SKSE pretty high when it comes to the question if I will ever use the SSE Edition and as I heard about the start of a development of a SKSE64 version I was pretty excited. When it comes to SKSE the different estimations of its personal importance may base on what you do with Skyrim. You don't need it for just playing, even modded playing, but the times were I seriously played Skyrim are over for me. I had two complete Skyrim playthroughs with all achievements and all quests, the whole map explored, both chars well in the lvl 80+. Meanwhile I use Skyrim much more as a professional base for personal modding and learning stuff like NIFscope/photoshop or get a grasp how things in a game work.
  2. I tested downloads from all Premium Servers. While Kent and Framework are as annoying slow and unstable as explained above, Dallas and Washington are as fast as they should be. Seems to be an issue exclusively with Kent and Framework Premium Servers. Posted that in the diagnose thread too.
  3. Any more people out there experiencing terrible slow download speeds from Premium Servers ? Diagnose Tool + Speed Test tell me nothing unusual, but around 50% of my downloads from Kent and Framwork abort or have a speed of sometimes less than 10 kbit/s. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Proxy detected: none -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diagnosing http://filedelivery....94f998a61f777d4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=100 Connection: Keep-Alive X-HW: 1471535390.dop005.fr7.t,1471535389.cds044.fr7.c Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="512MB-1-0-1.rar" Accept-Ranges: bytes Content-Length: 536870912 Cache-Control: max-age=14958862 Content-Type: application/octet-stream; charset=binary Date: Thu, 18 Aug 2016 15:49:49 GMT ETag: "1413036562" Last-Modified: Sat, 11 Oct 2014 14:09:22 GMT Status Description: OK. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Average speed: 6,1 MB/s for 36,6 MB. 5. Life would be boring without Nexus. http://www.reactiongifs.us/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/slow_clap_citizen_kane.gif
  6. In response to post #24748294. #24748909, #24748959, #24749014, #24749054, #24749074, #24749089, #24749114, #24749169, #24749269, #24749289, #24749409, #24749439, #24749529, #24749564, #24749574, #24749674, #24749709 are all replies on the same post. I forgot to endorse a lot of mods in my first year here on Nexus. I was just to involved in learning how to install mods correctly at all, learning Skyrim folder and file structures etc. Over time I got used to do it. I guess in the meanwhile almost every mod I once used or still use has an endorsement. That's just my experience, I still can't explain why so many mods with extremely high download rates have so less endorsements.
  7. To be honest I liked the old notification system more, but I can live with the new one. On another side...am I the only one who has a hard time to click the x to remove them ? Sometimes the notification gets properly removed, another time clicking the x results in loading the notified mod site and sometimes it will be removed by clicking it half a dozen times and after reloading the whole Nexus site...I did not know that you need to be a counterstrike professional using a 7200 dpi mouse to just click an x...
  8. Same issue here too. Running newest Firefox and the usual plugins like Adblock, Disconnect me, Silverlight, Adobe and the newest Java version. I wanted to post a comment on Zerwas1 new parallax mod site. It's possible to circumvent the issue at moment by posting a few words before the comment window tabs out again and then completing the post by using the edit function. The edit window stays stable. PS: Notifications aren't working too now, but maybe this is the consequence of the "can't-post-because-comment-window-tabs-out-issue"...no new comments -> no new notifications.
  9. I realized the vanishing file too. I still have the latest updates for Serenity and Tranquility, but anybody knows if he moved to another site outside of Nexus and is able to provide a link ? Just for the case his "final" updates weren't that final :P
  10. Thx guys. I will stay with Shadowplay. The former issues with ENB and Nvidia Experience seems to be solved. You just need to take care that you switch off all overlay functions.
  11. Hmm you are right, Geforce Nvidia experience has indeed a recording tool...I just read about that on the Nvidia page. Somehow I missed that. I remember it as an annoying tool that wanted always to reset my Nvidia driver setup (you usually need to have everything set to off while running an ENB -> AA, AF, AO etc., I just use the recommended SLI settings) and in the past it even had some issues while running an ENB, therefore I became used to do a custom installation of the Nvidia display driver without the experience part. I will give that a try, thx.
  12. It's a while ago that I had some overview over that topic. I was used to capture my videos by Fraps. Dxtory is another recording tool that comes to my mind. I want to capture high quality Skyrim videos while using a pretty heavy Skyrim mod and ENB setup (Serenity ENB) while playing in 2560 x 1440 resolution (Titan SLI system) and I want to have as less effect and quality loss as possible (as far as I know video recording does not always play nice in combination with ENB effects). Data storage is no issue, my NAS has plenty of that. In future I want to do the same maybe even in UHD (after spending a ton of € for a 4k display and an upcoming GTX 900er series Titan SLI system). Any idea about a fitting software recording tool for such tasks? It has not be freeware only, might even be some sort of semiprofessional or even professional stuff which might cost some money.
  13. I love your sig :-) Referring to Heisenberg's Indeterminacy Principle nobody is truly able to tell, but i would insist that the probability that he might be right estimates around 50%, which results into a 100% increase of being right, just because of not being "heared".
  14. As above, I don't get any notification updates by clicking the little world globe at the top of my Nexus site screen. The count does not change (frozen at 31) and I just get a message "There are no new notifications". My personal settings are unchanged, relogging, deleting all cookies and my whole internet chronic does not fix it.
  15. Go back to Win 7.... Actually, Windows 8.1 is pretty fantastic if you have a touch screen or trackpad. Hit Shift 5 times. Windows will minimise the game so it can ask you if you want to activate Sticky Keys. Just click no, then you can open the task manager as normal. Thx for this, it works flawlessly...and I agree, besides the fact that Win 8 is created for touchscreens, it's as stable as Win 7 and is even better performance and boot speed wise. Microsoft's Win 10 will have full dual functionality from the beginning. My only question to Microsoft would be, why no dual functionality already for Win 8 ?...the big business is stuffing out companies, administrations and offices with desktop PCs, which won't ever have touch screens in the near future...
  16. Due to my heaviliy modded Skyrim I rarely have some issues concerning CTDs on loading a save or encountering an infinite loading screen on loading a save. My issue is how to opt out of this infinite loading screen and shut down Skyrim by using the task manager. I use Win 8.1 and Classic Shell and whenever I encounter an infinite loading screen I am able to call the taskmanager by STRG + ALT + ENTF (CTRL + ALT + DEL), but I am not able to simply opt out to the task manager by TAB + ALT to click the Skyrim.exe process and shut it down. I am able to opt to the desktop and the opened taskmanager, but I am not able to click anything there. Whenever I click my mouse button to shut down Skyrim.exe in the taskmanager I am opting back to the infinite loading screen. The only method to get rid of the that at moment, is to fall back to the Win 8.1 logging screen and relog. This is an annoyence and therefore I am happy if anybody has a better method to get rid of that issue. This never happened under Win 7.
  17. Above question is just personal interest, because I am tempted to achieve an UHD monitor (to be specific this one: http://www.asus.com/de/Monitors_Projectors/PB287Q/). At moment I run a heaviliy modded Skyrim with the following specifications: Asus Z97 Deluxe i7 4790 K (stable UEFI BIOS Turbo mode 4,4 Ghz) 16 GB 1600er G.Skill Ripjaws RAM2 x Asus Geforce GTX Titan 6GB VRAM SLI 1 TB Samsung Evo SSD (booting and playing from here) Asus PB278Q LED 2560 x 1440 display In addition I use the normal preset from Serenity ENB. I still get around 30 to 60 fps (depends on interiors or exteriors) and I am running SKyrim without EdgeAA, SubpixelAA or TemporalAA, just the usual ENB sharpening technics like SSAO, SweetFX and Lumasharpening. I am still able to run this on 2560 x 1440 without water cooling, just a custom CPU fan (although GPU temperature needs a steep fan curve and is reaching around 80°C) i wonder what beast(s) of grafic cards you might need to run the above UHD monitor in 3840 x 2160 pixel density for a modded Skyrim with ENB. Any experience here with such deluxe systems and setups? My guess is you might need at least a high class SLI build for normal but up to date games and maybe even a quadSLI system for a heavily modded Skyrim + ENB setup. My strong guess is that you won't need any aliasing technics due to the high pixel densitity which will work as a sort of "inbuilt AA".
  18. Ok, no block from you and I looked up my settings in my user menu, no blocked tags, no adult content blocked. I cleared all my browser chronicles, logins, passwords, downloads everything, didn't help either. I have no idea anymore. As far as I epxerienced that yet, the Serenity ENB site is the only nexus mod site I can't reach.
  19. Ok, I can reach the website and browse posts, files, description etc. when I am NOT logged into Nexus. Seems as if I am blocked, prod80 will have a look in it.
  20. The ":" wasn't it. The site am not able to visit is the Serenity ENB website and this is my stored link to there: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51343/? I can't detect any error with the site adress...and to be on the safe side I messaged prod80, the modder of this ENB preset, if he has blocked me by mistake, but he hasn't. I usually use Firefox, but will try now using IE. UPDATE: Same result by using IE. IE is blank concerning Addons, not even Adblock plus is running for IE, because I never use that browser. For a try I even shut down my Antivirus tool and all my Anti Malware applications, no change...and now the best...I tried to connect over my Smartphone while not using my own LAN just the normal LTE/4G net (and I should have a complete different IP now), same result. Reconnecting my PC internet for another IP didn't help either. I am pretty out of ideas...
  21. Nexus connectivity is ok and the most downloads work well (with a few exception where a NMM download fails a few times because of a connection error), but I can't reach certain mod sites anymore, but those are obviously up, because I find them in a search... I get a strange connection error, a "blocked" message in my browser adress window and then a strange screen comes up where the following message is in the adress line: http.com I already tried to connect by disabling certain browser security and commercial block aps in my browser, but it doesn't work.
  22. Yep, this seems to be it. "Tracked Files" was set as preferred feed. I changed that to "File News" and connectivity is already much better now.
  23. I experience the same thing as Octopuss. I am able to manouevre now extremely fast between different Nexus mod sites, I set as favorites for myself. In addition the connection between NMM and Nexus is stable and works well, downloading mods, updating mod infos etc. is very fast. Premium servers deliver a speed of over 1Mbit/s in the best cases. ...but I am almost unable to ever reach the Nexus mods main page for Skyrim. Loading this site lasts an eternity and in the last time it ends up in an "unable to connect" message in 99% of all cases and this happens at different times of day, not only in the european prime time around 6 pm and later. I guess this site is the most visited Nexus site of course and many people - like me - open different browser windows for Nexus, one window always for the Nexus main page (to check new mods etc.) and other windows for the own favorite mod sites. Establishing connection lasted always a bit longer for the main page as for other sites before, but now it's unbearable. PS: I am able to reach the Nexus mods main page when I first load this site here and then load the Nexus mods main page, strange, but it works.
  24. I (premium user) had very slow download rates while using the premium Kent server and downloading by NMM (75 kb/s I rate as "very slow"). I was some weeks on vacancy and today I had to download lots of mods for upgrading. Now NMM seems to choose the premium Kent server by default and I suddenly have download rates of up to 1700 Kb/s while downloading by NMM. I have no idea what you did, but it's great.
