Mods, merging and bugs PLEASE HELP
Jirensama123 replied to Jirensama123's topic in The Witcher's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
As a start you can merge XMLs with script merger and then merge that mods with mod merger. You will get Script Merger merged pack (with XMLs merged) and Mod Merger pack (where XMLs overwrite each other) and the first one by default will have higher priority LOL :D This issue is happening with even only about 5 mods installed. It's absolutely infuriating and makes my game unplayable. -E3 Dodge -Clear toussian tlighting -Killin monsters Armor-Kaer Morhen Viper replacer mod -No dirty lens effect -Hair LOD increase These issues happened AGAIN after only about an hour of play with just these mods... nothing merged just installed plainly and properly. Ho win the HELL are other people running stable games with no issues at 50 plus mods? Merge or not I should have no issue with 5 mods, I did it as a test. The only thing I can think of is maybe my save is screwed? Regardless this is infuriating. I don't understand why this is happening at all and my game is just unplayable and boils down to. EITHER PLAY VANILLA OR NOT AT ALL. -

You will get Script Merger merged pack (with XMLs merged) and Mod Merger pack (where XMLs overwrite each other) and the first one by default will have higher priority LOL :D I could in theory merge XML mods with SCRIPT merger and then merge that merged file with mods? I was able to get three XML mods that mod merger said "Don't try merging these" to actually merge and work just fine EDIT: I have now reduced my load order down to a mere 16 mods but still encounter the same issue, although it would seem to be nowhere near as bad, (In theory. As I did not play more than an hour) https://gyazo.com/e18ea793220e2e0521a3247abd6abb3f ^ New load order All the Tilded mods are merged in the MergedPack mod folder successfully. -

Clearly. But I wasn't asking why it was still occurring, I was asking if in any way I can merge the remaining mods, seeing as Mod Merger and Modkitchen either cannot due to XML issues or will not merge them properly due to various issue such as the ones I listed. I see being able to merge a few more as being my only avenue of avoiding the issue outside of simply removing them. -

Add new custom GWENT Cards

Gwent is my liberty, Gwent is my fraternity, Gwent relieves the day's sorrow, and Gwent is my morrow. Poker has had it, and dice is a bore, There's no other game that makes you want more. There are no better satisfactions, Greater than Beauclair's Belles’ is its list of attractions, Greater than even the Festival of Drinks, Or even a tipsy young minx. They can holler and shout, they can release the guards, I'm leaving home, I'm off to play cards! -
The real question is why would you want to mod the textures to that extent in the first place? When the Witcher 3 is already one of the top 5 best looking games like... ever... Perhaps the real issue lies within you wanting more than is even borderline possible in todays world of gaming, the mods the person above linked should be more than enough. The reason it pales in comparison to skyims texture mods is because Vanilla skyrim looks like an Arkham Asylum bathroom in the best possible lighting. I also have a 1080ti alongside a 7900x so our specs are very similar, and i'll tell you that I use HD reworked with max vanilla settings, and force 8x supersample AA thru NVIDIA, and the game is more than I could hope for tbh, unless ofc you want to use any of those GOD AWFUL Michael bay BLOOMgasm reshades, or even one of the "I cut every night and hate everything simulator" reshades that make everything look like black and white vomit. Outside of that theer won't be much you can do tbh, you can use some of the supreme to extreme type mods that allow you to upscale every texture to 4K, but that would be about it. In my opinion my modded to all hell Skyrim looks nowhere near as good as my Witcher 3 Does... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1394024612 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1358886262

So I play Witcher3, obviously. I also like to mod it. But when I do I often run into issues, I do light modding and currently am only interested in using about 30 or so at one time, I realize this is a bit over the mod limit (which I see almost everywhere is about 18 mods or so) and am well aware of merging mods to fix this issue, now oddly enough even with all the mods installed I do not get the "infinite loading screen". But what I do get is all this ANNOYING and GAME BREAKING "Blurry loading screens" during conversations, and even at times bugs that completely destroy animations making Geralt and whoever he is talking to stand oddly still while speaking, completely ignore animations and slide around when they should be walking or ZIP to where they are supposed to be after a long delay. Clearly this makes my game unplayable and not enjoyable in any form whatsoever. I do not know EXACTLY what causes this issue but I imagine it has something to do with mod limits, and was fully prepared to merge as many of my mods as possible. Here is a list of all the mods I use - Aerondight Redone (I use the scabbard for it as well) -Always Full EXP -Better Icons -Better trophies -BLOOD -Concept Cat Armor -Combat Animations E3Quen -E3 Dodge -Cloak and Cape Toggle mod -Disable Cinematic Kill cam - Faint Glowing Witcher eyes -A night to remember eyes (Real Witcher eyes mod) -Gear Improvments last longer (GILL) -Geralt HW White beard -Geralt HW Real Beard -Geralt HW Real hair -Geralt on steroids -Geralt Cinematic hair -Hardcore Geralt -Improved Signs -Indestructible items -Jump in shallow water - Killing monsters armor -Kaer morhen replacer set (so I can use the killing monsters armor in place of the viper armor) -Lore Friendly Ciri -Extended view distance -Friendly HUD -Friendly Meditation -Infinite Roach stamina -All quest objectives on map -Stamina re balance (half cost to cast signs) -No fall damage -No dirty lens effect -Particles Unification patch Now my issue here... is with actually merging them. Now I do use the Witcher 3 Mod manager alongside the script merger and it works completely fine, no issues on that end whatsoever. My problem comes with using the witcher 3 mod merger. Most of these mods can merge, some of them cannot due to the whole XML issue, which is fine ofc since script merger mostly takes care of that. The problem lies within the fact that not all the mods that can be merged will actually WORK once they have been merged. :/ Not ideal clearly. For example, it seems like E3quen and Killing monster armor PARTIALLY work, with E3 quen the effects and textures that are supposed to show up around Geralts body once it has been casted are not there, instead it just leaves the blue glow, and with killing monsters armor the MESH carries over but it keeps that god awful vanilla kaer morhen armor texture. In the case of mods like Hardcore geralt, the face simply does not change at all, I am not entirely sure which mods work and which ones do not as I have not tested each individually... I have read in some places that Mod Merger and Modkitchen which is another tool I have tried using to make this work have issues with these type of mods. So I tried using other ones like the MTM texture merger and the "Easy for everyone to use" Mod merger tool. Which both btw have completely assinine authors and some of the MOST moronic instructions possibly ever and have yet to see anyone comment anything along the lines of "YAY! I actually understood it and got it to work properly!" So... my issue here should be rather clear xd If anyone at all could maybe help or provide some insight? That would be very much appreciated. Thanks
