  1. I was thinking, someone should take some of the Skyrim meshes and convert them into PZ animals
  2. Resurrecting this. I am also looking for it. From what I've heard, the issue most people have is simply that you can't delete major mods like that; but if it was all rolled into one mod, and just set so that textures would change over time, it seems like it would work, but I wouldn't know for sure because I'm a noob at mods. I really wanted to use something like the following mods put together. I wish I had more time so I could learn how to put all of these into one mod that changes with time. I was thinking of putting each feature (trees, vs groundcovers) on their own timers of when to turn on and off, but I have no idea how to do much of anything. I have thus far added books to my game and that's it. Oh and I got partway through doing something with food but it became buggy and I haven't gotten back to it. January and February Winter Overhaul Winter Overhaul Frostfall patch Snowy AF Windhelm March and April Winter Aspens grass from Summer in Skyrim, vanilla snow placement Frostfall May Summer in Skyrim, less snow Frostfall June, July, August Springtime Overhaul everywhere Milder form of Frostfall September Milder form of Frostfall Vanilla Aspens Autumn grass, but no more snow than is in Springtime Overhaul October Vanilla Aspens until second half, then Winter Aspens Frostfall Autumn grass, no snow November Winter Aspens Frostfall autumn grass, some snow in north, but not as much as vanilla December Winter Aspens Vanilla snow placement, autumn grass Winter Overhaul Frostfall patch Anyone think this is possible? Anyone want to do it? I will try if I get the chance and no one else wants to. I don't know if it's possible to make the game transition from one texture to the other... Perhaps I could make it so you could switch between modes in mod manager, like you can turn frostfall on and off etc.
  3. Never mind! I believe I found what I was looking for in Seasons of Skyrim - Springtime Overhaul
  4. I really just want a summer mod(s) that just makes normal Skyrim look like it's experiencing summer. For example, more green, less brown, the north has grass, and the trees in the east have green leaves instead of autumn leaves. More grass and less snow in the mountains would also be nice. I've only seen a few summer mods, but none of them quite seem to do this. 1) Summer in Skyrim is more like Spring in Skyrim. As far as I can gather, the north still looks cold, it just changes the environment to exactly what I want in the southeast. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2818 2) Summer Skyrim adds a ton of foliage, which I might tolerate ok if it didn't add trees. Regardless, tropical Skyrim is not what I was looking for so it's a bit more than I want anyway. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22300 3) Just recently found Green Skyrim https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72950?tab=posts, but that also adds trees and looks rather intense. Do you have any suggested solutions? Could I perhaps use Summer in Skyrim in conjunction with something else? Bonus: Also, Summer Skies makes it warmer, which I want because I am using Frostfall (long story as to why I'm using both at the same time lol), but it overexposes everything. I usually use Climates of Tamriel but I can still freeze to death in a summer setting, which is weird. Any suggestions for that?
  5. Thanks! I was hoping to backport a simple mod that just added some books, and tweak it into a new mod anyway. I'm going to try this.
  6. Depends on how you want to play. I played without mods the first time, and now I play with a ton of mods. I like playing more survivalist, so the ones I care about the most are: iNeed - so you need to eat sleep and drink water Amazing Follower Tweaks - better interaction with followers Frostfall - so the temperature matters Campfire - so you can camp A Quality World Map - to make the map have roads, mostly Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - the vanilla dialogue gets stale; adds some original dialogue that they removed from the game RaceMenu - changes the character creator menu to be easier to use ShowRaceMenu PreCacheKiller - so your game doesn't crash when you open the race menu SkyUI - makes sorting inventory a lot easier and is required for some of the other mods Importance not in that order.
  7. Skyrim IS based off of Scandinavia, is it not? So why are there no sleighs? Carriages are terrible for traveling through deep snow. Seems like a good Christmas mod. Sorry I keep posting new ideas.
  8. For those of us who try not to use fast travel, or at least be realistic about how the Dragonborn would handle his business, it is best to choose a route in which you can accomplish many different objectives along a path. It would be nice to have a way to mark not only my next destination, but the whole path I intend to take, including not only quest stops, but also personal stops such as needing to sell equipment or purchase materials for building the house, etc.
  9. Hm? Interesting. I realize some of the guys I chatted with do play as female characters. Since I always play in the mode where all I see are the weapons in my hands it never occurred to me to want to see how I was dressed or if I liked the image I saw. I do recall getting all spiffed up to go to the weekend dances at a place which gave us a hang out besides the high school gym. I was always making sure I had no zits or there was a hair on my head out of place. I just never thought about wanting to look at my creation to give those special touches and make sure women would find a game character attractive. No one actually see my game character. Now then. The games getting more followers with personalities. Maybe the followers that are females we can help out and become BFF are better at making us feel like we are with a human. They are created by a human. I might learn more about romancing and see what I could have done differently in real life. Thanks for giving me a little bit of your present way of looking at gaming life. I knew guys thoughts on game characters from various sexual preferences and real life, but now. Wow! The modern stuff in escapism games! I was reading about a mod for another game Fallout 4. A follower with Artificial Intelligence. The Machine and her. Willow was another for Fallout: New Vegas without AI though. The possibilities! I'm going to have a nap. It's late. When I wake I hope I have some new ideas. Sleep well. Live well. And prosper. For some reason I couldn't find this thread anymore and I wondered what happened lol. I just found it, obviously. I was probably just forum stupid. I've only ever really used Personality Cafe very much, but I had to leave it behind because I have issues with social media. Yeah I usually only see my characters' hands too. I prefer first person perspective most of the time, but I guess its the story thing that makes me care what he looks like. I randomly zoom out and see if he looks cool sometimes because I'm weird like that. Or recently I was going through the first couple quests a second time for my novelization, specifically to take good screenshots, so I have screenshots of him for that reason, though he is intentionally grimy and unkempt in many of those, and when he gets a haircut and washes his face, he isn't wearing war paint because I decided his anger was all spent before the start of the game. It will have to be rekindled before I can put war paint on him again, which is disappointing. My characters so far have all looked about the same lol. If I ever do a second novelization though, I guess he will have to look different. That's really interesting about the followers. That would be so nice to have more of an AI follower. Being able to play with friends would be best I guess, like role playing, but I have Oldrim so I can't do that right now. I do role-play (in writing) with a friend of mine. I actually was doing it tonight. We are smoothing out the rough edges of a role play we were doing... almost a year ago now. Wow. Anyway, it turned out really good, like a serious epic story, and I had intended it to be a novel before role-play, so we're trying to make it happen. I missed having real social interactions playing Skyrim after writing the first role-play draft last year. Like if I jump off a balcony, I expect someone to comment on it, or visit the Jarl in my underwear. I certainly expect to get some good, witty conversation on occasion. I don't really think of my character in a sexual way lol. I like looking at him, but it's not like I get excited or anything. I didn't get the mods to make his body look better because he's always wearing clothes and there was a lot of nudity involved with the one I found, which made me uncomfortable. I just don't like that his skin looks so... leathery. And his hands are too big because I stick to the lower end of the weight scale, but it wasn't worth fixing. His face is fixed, and he wears clothes anyway. If I had gone with a female character I would have made her super attractive too even though I'm straight. I almost considered starting with a female because the males looked so bad. Wow I sound so shallow hahaha. I am not afraid to make him look disgusting when he's got long greasy hair and blood all over, but I am comforted by the fact that he can cut his hair and wash up. And put on scary war paint. I think I chose a male character partly because I always write from a male perspective. I was musing a little bit ago that this is probably because my relationship with my mother has been a bit rough, so good feminine examples haven't been as strong in my life, despite being an actual female. As for real life, that goes a bit beyond this post, but my first suggestion is to eat healthy (I recommend looking at a natural paleo base diet with the occasional foray into other treats no more than a little once a week) because that takes care of most looks issues. But looks are by far not the main thing girls care about. It helps for sure, but I married my husband because he was reliable, brutally honest, wasn't too gross for me (that was my standard for looks irl lol) and is a hard worker. We also share much of the same worldview. Also, sometimes you have to be picky too. Like, think about the kind of girl you need and then what kind of guy she would need and practice being that guy until you become him. Don't pick a girl who would manipulate you because that's usually simultaneously belittling you and objectifying her. ...This is probably getting too deep and preachy for a Skyrim message board so I will stop. Especially since I don't even know what you were talking about, really. My toddler was recently running up to people and doing the Vulcan symbol, saying, "live long prosper!" but I was shocked at how many people didn't understand what he was about. Like, they didn't know the saying and symbol. Wtf. But you too, sleep long and prosper!
  10. Hello! I have been working on my first mod for Skyrim, which is reformatting the Bible into a collection of books. Before I get into that though, I'd really like to eventually use the books for a mod to play as a Christian. The idea behind what I'm about to propose is that I want to play Skyrim as a Christian without destroying everything that is Skyrim. I don't know if I would go so far as to call this lore-friendly, but it is as close as you can get. The story is that all of Tamriel is pagan and by some force of circumstance, Christianity has been kept off of the continent until now. The Dragonborn meets someone outside the temple in Solitude, where they got kicked out for trying to ask the priests about someone called "Krist." Apparently they are looking for someone. When you talk to them you find out that they were a sailor who met someone from a distant continent several months ago, who talked about a greater god, and this sailor has completed his/her contract and wants to find this person again. They know that this person was traveling to Skyrim with a book, and they were looking for other books that had been smuggled in, and that they were all part of a sacred collection. He knows the clue to find the first one (creation story, or perhaps all of Genesis, not sure; Genesis is 6 volumes long so far). The Dragonborn is invited to help find all of the volumes and hopefully the people who smuggled them into Skyrim. In the end you can build a church(/temple) and perhaps a little town or community of some sort. They can also perform marriage ceremonies there so the Dragonborn has no need to rely on pagan gods. Before I go on about how this would handle magika and theology, I'll talk a little about the Bible mod I am already making. I am not dividing it up like normal, but making the Torah in particular easier to follow, and trying to split it up in a more accessible series without removing any text overall. For example, genealogies, the law, the construction of the tabernacle, and the stories would have their own volumes or collections of volumes. I have more or less completed Genesis, as I said, but also split it up accordingly: Vol. 1 Creation story, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, LamechVol. 2 The flood, BabelVol. 3 Abraham: Abraham's intro - getting Rebecca for IsaacVol. 4 Isaac: Rebecca coming to Isaac - Jacob fleeing EsauVol. 5 Jacob: Jacob's dream - Joseph's dreamVol. 6 Joseph's dream - Joseph's death I have been working on the rest of the Torah, which is probably the most difficult part of the Bible to cover. I am also trying to use original names instead of translated names as much as possible, such as Ya'akov instead of Jacob and "Rivqah" instead of "Rebecca" etc. though for "the LORD" I am using the abbreviation YHWH out of respect for those who are uncomfortable using the full spelling, even in His own word (lol). Right now they are just regular books though I am interested in their beautification and I don't have the tools to do that. So this is what I would appreciate help with right now: Someone to make textures and meshes/items like book covers, amulets, and other unique items. For the moment I really just need the book covers. It'd be cool if we could have pictures in the books too, but not necessary.General technical assistance/a mentor. If this is meant to be, prayer (lol)What I will need help with later, or now if someone wants to: Creating the church/synagogue/town. I don't care if the church is a humble abode or a cathedral. Creating at least five people (Bible smugglers and the person you meet at the temple); I want to design one person, maybe twoThere will need to be some minor magika overhauls. Although I'm perfectly fine with many kinds of magic existing in Skyrim and being used by the "ignorant" people of Skyrim, I think positive magika should only be attributed to God (all good things from the Lord). I have some doable ideas on this, I think, but I'd be glad to discuss it with whoever agreed to help.I do need an idea how to handle bandits and witches in a Christian way, preferably from a Christian (or orthodox Jew lol) who actually knows how to mod powers and enchantments etc. I considered an angel being sent, but idk. I just don't like it seeming too much like the player is controlling God. To some extent we will have to deal with that anyway, but I'd like to minimize the effect as much as possible.Creating the quest, though that seems like the last step. I will need to write the script first.Voice actors, but you'll have to wait until I have written a script so I'm not really looking for that yet.I don't mind learning how to do things myself! I would love to. It would be nice if someone wanted to take over some parts though, for the sake of time, and I'm not sure what I can do without any image editing software. I do like technical things, often more than the creative these days, so I'm fine with completing the Bible myself and I would be happy to learn how to do anything else that I am capable of on a tight budget, though I think someone else might have to take over textures and meshes. I don't even mind tedium. I'm also happy to make a pre-Jesus/Jewish version. Morally speaking, this is slightly easier lol. If you're seriously interested in helping with this, let me know. I'm going to try to make it on my own if no one helps, but it will take a long time alone. T_T I also may not be able to create the cool items on my own, though I will research it and find out if I can do anything. I want to make cross necklaces, Star of David and/or Menorah necklaces, and maybe some cool items like Aaron's staff, or Goliath's skull and spear or sword, Josephs coat, etc. Though the necklaces are the thing I want the most. About me: I am good with stories and creative solutions to problems/solving puzzles. I have a passionate interest in theology and my relationship with Christ; I became a Christian at the age of 8, and I have been a non-prolific writer since the age of 13. I say non-prolific because I have been working on many of the same stories since that age and occasionally have shared them with a few friends and acquired a tiny, tiny fandom of those I've told (other people get glazed eyes because good novels are actually kind of hard to summarize). I believe I have become a good writer so I will write the script for this mod (with help if someone wants). I haven't finished a novel because I have been young, sick, and unable to handle the chaos of life. Now I am older and wiser, my health is starting to stabilize, and my ability to handle chaos has increased due to a certain toddler. I am working on other projects in my spare time these days, but I do spend a lot of time playing Skyrim that could be used for modding it instead.
  11. Ugh I want this mod to exist as well. I don't feel like being the dragonborn makes my character a good parent at all but that doesn't mean I want the virtual children to virtually suffer.
  12. I fixed my game!! I deleted the .ini files and created my profiles, removed the season mods from it for now. I did make the season profiles but I probably won't use them on my for fun game, and I haven't tried the game for my story. I'm excited but also terrified to try it so I thought I'd just take a break to breathe and play like a normal person.
  13. Hahahaha! Yes I use AFT. It's really good, but yes, for followers. I actually just got it because I thought I should be able to take my son with me on trips if I felt like it, so the "Children Fight Back" mod was supposed to work with AFT so you could get the dialogue. I felt like Aventus should have some real-world experience since he naively wants to become an assassin "like me" (I always kill Astrid instead of joining the Dark Brotherhood). I do really like that I can make my followers go helmet-free unless they're in combat, because Teldryn is always wearing a helmet and he is my favorite follower. It gets annoying. Especially because that bonemold armor looks terrible. I have also considered making female followers not wear armor all the time with the mod, but I haven't tried it yet. Yeah, I like to play my game like its an actual story (hence the novelizing). So I figure if I were in my character's place, I wouldn't wear armor everywhere. At least not heavy armor. Plus I do sneak quite a lot. I think two-handed and sneak were the first two skills I maxed the last time I played, weirdly enough. That said, I do run around occasionally in blades or ebony armor in the wild once I have leveled up a bit, if I want my heavy armor skill to increase. I guess I am a bit shallow with my character lol. I like to like looking at him if I can get a good screenshot.
  14. Hi. I made the first post I remember making in the help forum, trying to figure out how to simulate seasons for a Skyrim "novel" I'm writing on my blog. Or... hopefully writing. I'm a mom, so not a lot of time, but I do like writing and playing Skyrim, and sometimes I find the game limiting my creativity, so I've enjoyed going beyond the bounds of the game in my little "novel", though I'm not very far (hence why I'm considering adding seasons). I've only posted one chapter (Unbound) but I've written up to that Turdas I think. I had to take a break because I needed to focus on the writing side of things, which is also fun. I honestly find it more fun than playing the game normally, but I've made myself keep a for fun game so I'm not "working" every time I sit down to play. Unfortunately I broke it while trying to create seasons, though I think it had more to do with switching to Vivid Weathers mid-game than switching from summer to winter overhauls. Those seemed to go okay until I tried Vivid Weathers, because True Storms made the indoor thunderstorm sound when we were having a snowstorm in Rorikstead. I haven't attempted to fix it yet. I will probably try tomorrow but I was feeling too despondent about it today. I like to play a two-handed male Imperial every time, though in my for-fun game this last time I actually did dual wielding, which I'm finally pretty good at, but I think I'm much better at two-handed, or its just an easier way to play. I was scared the first time I started a game, because I used to try playing as a sneaky character or something, but then I'd die because as soon as someone noticed me I couldn't defend myself up close very well. I don't know. And I'm not that good at making sure to block. Basically, in combat I panicked and clicked all the buttons. For that reason, it made the most sense to go melee and simply bludgeon my enemies to death, plus great swords are super cool. I really wish Dawnbreaker and Dragonbane were great swords. I've dual wielding them in my fun game, if I can revive it after my seasons debacle, but alas, cool legendary great swords are a little harder to come by. My brother said my skill set was weird because I used two-handed weapons, while my archery and sneak skills were equally high in an effort to avoid conflict as long as possible. I'm not very good about wearing my heavy armor the way I should either. I usually run around in Vampire Armor not as a vampire simply because I like the way it looks. What can I say? I like to role-play my game. Wearing heavy armor everywhere sounds awful and kind of weird. I try to remember to change before fights but I usually don't think about it unless I'm about to tackle a really difficult opponent. Somehow my heavy armor skill is still higher than my light armor most of the time. But yeah, I don't play the game the way you're "supposed" to I guess. The first time I went through the whole main quest, I maxed out two-handed, archery, heavy armor and sneak, and I think I was getting there in smithing and trying to increase my enchanting. But I am honestly just wasting time here because the thing I was planning to do tonight fell through, so I'll stop writing this long post to no one and go....
  15. I believe I do have SKSE but I don't really do anything with it. I barely know what it's for, just that some mods said they require it. My brother is the one who helped me get started but he doesn't live in town so I have just tried to figure the rest out on my own. I might think about the INI file thing for different characters, perhaps to use Vivid Weathers with my novel character(s) and not my old, but yeah, not for the same one. That's a good idea with the seasons; I will try that if its my only option. Maybe I'll just give it a go, and if my game dies from a season change, I'll just start over and play up to that point again in the proper season lol. A bit labor intensive, but you know. For the sake of art, I guess. I am stubborn enough to do it. Do you have any opinion on whether I should use Vivid Weathers instead of True Storms, CoT and Summer Skies? I believe I started the game with True Storms and CoT. I've never used Summer Skies on it though since the game starts in late summer, I might make changes to that first chapter. If not, then would it be safer if I used only CoT all year round (and maybe True Storms all year round and just dealt with the rain and pretend its howling wind lolol)? And would you call 2K Textures an unnecessary burden in this situation? I don't remember why I removed it from the winter lineup, but the fewer mods I have to move around, the better, I assume. Sadly, I do not have SSE, buuuuut, idk, maybe I will get it at some point. Hearing there were fewer mods for it made me less inclined, but perhaps if I can find enough of what I want it might be worth it. My brother got Legendary Edition for me and I think he bought it for me on Steam at some point before that (but it had no DLC) lol. Therefore, I've not had to pay for anything. [There was an emoticon inserted here but while I love emoticons I type, I hate the ones the computer makes, so I deleted it.] Thank you so much for your patience with me!
  16. First off, thank you so much for responding. I will try deleting prefs too. I never touched it so I thought maybe it wouldn't matter, but I guess one can never tell. I'll google how to run it without SKSE too... possible I normally do that. I'm guessing by each profile, you mean my different characters/games that I start? Do you mean I can make them each have their own set? Does this mean they can have their own set of mods too? That would be nice. I was trying recently to figure out if there was a way to make profiles or categories of mods that would only be used for one game or another, though I was expecting have to turn them on and off manually. I will look into Fallrim Tools and switching mod managers if I decide to go with it then. In that case though, does anyone have any suggestions for this project? I'm trying to novelize a play-through of Skyrim. For the game itself, I find it easier to write like a novel if my character has to deal with things like needing food, food spoiling, camping, cold, etc. Essentially, a more realistic gameplay experience. I have a crapton of mods for this, but I've tried to be careful to use mods that are made to go together where it has mattered, and I haven't cared much about graphics or anything until recently. I want the character's day-to-day needs to be "realistic" the most, and the atmosphere stuff is just to help me not to forget things like how rain makes you wet and how Morning Star will have shorter days than Mid Year etc. because I am afraid I won't think of things without sensory cues. The way I am doing this is that I have a laptop open while I play and yes, I pause the game regularly by opening the console command window to write down everything I care about that is happening and what is being said, and then I go back and make it sound way better later, without the game open. Then, I open a second game and play through the same stuff as close to the first one as possible but in god mode and whatnot so I can and take better screenshots. Then I go back to my novel and adjust accordingly, and edit it a few more times before it sounds decent. It's basically an rp writing exercise by myself. This means I have THREE games going on. The novel, the screenshots, and one just for fun. For the novel it matters to basically make the game hardcore survival mode. The screenshots just need to look pretty good. I don't need any super high quality stuff though. I care more about good quality writing than good screenshots. Therefore, I'm asking for suggestions on the best way to handle: a) seasons for the novel and screenshots, since they can be done differently (if you think I'm out of luck, please don't hesitate to tell me) b) switching profiles, because for example, I am using Better Vampires and Helgen Reborn for fun, but I don't intend to use them at all for my novel.* Also, I just started it a couple weeks ago, so it's not a huge deal if I have to start over. On a project like this it takes forever to get anywhere, so I haven't even played past him discovering he is dragonborn and I have a better idea what is happening now so it should be faster to go through again. I guess these might be helpful, lol, but I'm not trying to advertise. This is just to improve my own writing skills in an entertaining way, but enjoy if you want. The first chapter as an example of what I am doing; I had only CoT and True Storms at the time; no season overhaul: https://bringyourownbison.wordpress.com/2019/11/14/1-unbound/ The list of (most of the) mods I had when it was working is at the bottom of this post: https://bringyourownbison.wordpress.com/2019/11/11/dragonborn-forward/ Okay. I did go back to CoT (I only tried Vivid Weathers because the Winter Overhaul was making a snowstorm in Rorikstead, and when I walked into an inn, True Storms made it sound like it was pouring, which is why I took True Storms off the Winter list), except I think I turned Winter Overhaul back on because previously I was on vanilla, so I was hoping if I went back to a vanilla save I could use it. I'll try without it though. It's just my fun game so while seasons would be fun it doesn't matter as much. And... sorry I'm chatty... I'm not entirely sure what kind of mods some of these are. They were just things that were supposed to help with various things, but honestly I have no idea what CoT is for, except that it does something with weather. It may have been required for something else. I did add a few things just to make it look cooler too, like 2K textures, but I tried not to do anything too intense. The game was actually running really well except the esbern bug (I fixed it and went back to redo the quest because it annoyed me so much lol; sadly, I only just caught up when this happened). I wish I hadn't tried to fix the thunderstorm thing because it wasn't really important, though I may never have discovered the dangers in switching season mods. *This "novel" isn't intended to be sold or anything. It's purely for entertainment and writing practice. In case anyone was concerned.
  17. Ugh I didn't provide my load order. I really have to go to bed right now, but I'll post it tomorrow unless it turns out to be unnecessary. Its 62 files long at the moment so... yeah, that's going to have to wait.
  18. So, I am somewhat new to using mods and appear to have made some kind of (major?) mistake. I discovered that no one could really create a proper seasons mod, so I thought I'd "make" my own by switching between these settings according to what month it is in game: Winter Climates of Tamriel Frostfall Winter Overhaul Patch Snowy AF Windhelm Winter Overhaul 2019 Winter Overhaul performance patch (just in case) Spring Climates of Tamriel 2K textures True Storms Summer in Skyrim (it said it just changed the birch forests to be green instead of autumn foliage, so I figured it would leave the snow in the north and therefore be more spring-like than just switching straight to summer skyrim; didn't think to look for anything spring specific, admittedly; I haven't enabled this mod yet) Summer 2K Textures Summer Skies Summer Skyrim Autumn Climates of Tamriel 2K textures True Storms That was the idea, but so far what I had done was look at the summer settings, and then I looked at the winter settings. At first the winter didn't want to work because of a conflict, but it seemed to be resolved and I got it to run. Same game, I ran summer and winter, which were the biggest overhauls. Then, I thought I'd try Vivid Weathers instead of CoT. I was very scared but figured I could not have to worry about Summer Skies, CoT and True Storms if it worked. Didn't know you weren't supposed to switch those mid-game, so I think this is where I broke it. I also did a couple things wrong. A) I probably should have tried it without True Storms, but I tried to use a patch to keep it for some reason even though I probably wouldn't have cared much. It was hard to get the settings correct for all of this, but I got it resolved to where NMM was happy. B) (and this is the bigger issue) I wasn't paying attention and was also rather confused when I opened up the Skyrim.ini and couldn't find any of the settings listed under Vivid Weathers that I was supposed to change, so I just pasted stuff under the Display section. Result: The game stopped responding when I tried to load it. So, I got rid of all the changes I had made for Vivid Weathers (also realizing that I was supposed to change the SkyrimPrefs.ini lol - I deleted the .ini file and uninstalled all of the VW things I had installed and put everything back the way it was before I did VW). I never fixed the skyrimprefs.ini file because I decided it might just be better for me to stick to simpler mods (lol) Sadly, still didn't work. So, I uninstalled all of the Winter Overhaul stuff too, but it still didn't work. I tried going to pre-winter saves and then pre-summer saves, but no matter what I do my game won't load. It starts playing the inn music, and then the fog just keeps rolling across the screen, and my task manager tells me it isn't responding. Can I fix my game or did I break the whole thing? If I can fix it, then obviously I require instructions/suggestions If I can't fix it, then will I have to delete all my mods? T_T My primary concern is the appearance of my character is saved in a preset and I don't want to lose it. Is my idea for creating seasons doable? Even if it has to be a fresh game? Can anyone explain what exactly broke it? (for purposes of curiosity and learning) Bonus: I don't think I'm clear on what an ENB is, and what the difference is between that and other mods that change the appearance of the game (texture, I guess). Is ENB strictly a lighting thing? Hopefully all of that made sense and I can get some help :[ Sorry for having a billion questions. Thanks!
